Hans BasTV

Ted nam

Obviously every country has trolls and racists, you shouldn't use them as a way to judge an entire country's population. What I have learnt from them is that Koreans know much about world politics is mainly because of the feeling of being constantly (directly or indirectly) threatened by North Korea, America, China, Japan... The elder people went through colony time, wars, the younger generations grew up after war were under this threat all the time. This makes them so politically awared.

No one wins in a South Korean, nortk Korean war. All Koreans lose. To start a war, first set up a defensive missile system. Then you can set up a no fly zone. It comes with jamming. Put your pride aside and see the bigger picture. They did this to Libya, Syria, Ukraine...etc. China is trying to stop war to save Koreans. If war happens, Asia economy destroyed. I am an American of Chinese descent. I have spent a fair amount of time in SK and China. One of my closest friends is a Korean living in SK. I say with confidence that America is a reliable ally to SK and not just because of economics. We share a lot of ideals. IMO, the only reason for SK to prefer China over America is its close proximity to China and a fear of China. Let me ask this question: Where would Koreans generally prefer to immigrate to, America or China? I think one of those countries will be overwhelmingly preferred and not just for economic reasons.

Lots of medium range missiles are already in American base in South Korea. Those are fine... I think this is why China has been able to grow so fast recently but stay atop for thousands of years, it's the mentality of the people that allows a nation to last, not the rulers of the nation. While other people are fighting about who's the top, the Chinese people always stay humble and work hard doing what they do in order to keep climbing and never assume/want to become #1. Watch any speech given by The current Chinese President on the World Economic forum, and you'll know what I mean. Other nations and the media will paint China or the US as evil or good etc. but it doesn't matter to the winner because they will keep on winning.

Great interviews Asian Boss. As a Chinese, i'd like to see different perspectives from all the korean interviewees. I would say no one goes to extreme except the point that Chinese view South Korea as our colony. The fact is that according to our education Korea as a whole was once Chinese colony but no more nowadays. Most Chinese knows exactly that South Korea is our neighbor country and our government does not have the will to conquer South Korea or North Korea. Plus, about ThAAD, as i know, it does not threat Chinese territory a lot but the TPY-2 radar ThAAD uses actually is able to scan 1200 km which does not only include the whole North Korea but also some territory of China. In that area, China has been experimented missiles and if ThAAD is implemented, our missile system is under exposure to American army so that's why our government is against THAAD. So for China and South Korea, it's all about self-defense. The United States is the one that actually can benefit from the implementation of THAAD. For most Chinese who are able to travel abroad, South Korea for us is one of the best places on earth for shopping cosmetic products. So don't let politics influence your views on people from other countries. We can all be chingu. Peace.

Firstly, I have to say China has developed a lot since last few decades, but we never see us as the No.1 in the world. There is no doubt that American has the biggest influence in the world.
Secondly, I feel people usually label China with political ideology tags as 'non-democracy', 'communism' to separate China from the world. This kind of reminds me of the 'COLD WAR MENTALITY'. Each country has the right to decide their own political system based on their situation. Other countries should not judge a country based on that. Besides, there is democracy in China, and does the people who criticises about China's democracy issue really know how democracy works in China?
Finally, I understand Korea want to enhance their defence ability to against NK, but the capability of Thaad is way beyond that and can be seen as a potential threat to our country's safety. We have vote for on sanctions on NK nuclear program, and we are not NK's 'daddy', don't blame China for NK's crazy.

I do agree that the real peace happens only when NK and SK are not used as a political purpose and more independent.

I think its cute how brainwashed you guys are. Of course the CCP, the party that have full control of the media, restrict the overall freedom of speech of Chinese peoples (not that the mainland want it, but HK seems to like it, and gradually denied ofc), would be proud of how you turned out. The China's military base in SEA sea is in the contested area, with Philippine and Vietnam, in which China forcefully take ignoring the both countries and the UN International court ruling. The area had trillion of resource btw. Not just that, China also want nearly entire portion of South China Sea, because it has it 'name' on it ie moronic excuse. Have you seen the contested area? and how it take almost everything near the neighboring SEA nations? And then there is Taiwan, where China keep hoping to bomb the island if they don't come back to tyrannical government. China is a big fat bully is what it is, all smile and shake hand while holding a rock at the back ready to bludgeon you to death if you don't give it what it want. And they surprise when others don't like them as much as they thought. Its China mess with others, not the other way around, like many mainland Chinese love to say.
Overall China has become major player in the world theater, big economy to fuel the bigger ambitions in the future. But China's economy is big only because of its billion peoples = cheap labor = bigger oversea (US) investment come in. Its the same case with India with significant geographical difference ie China (and S.Korea) has it easy being near with both US and Japan, economy-technology powerhouses. But unfortunately the only thing they learn is how to make money, not friend. As of being no 1, dont worry you wont be, not with that attitude..and low quality products, but whatever. All in all I like China, but it would be helpful if you guys could pull your bloody head out of your stinky ass, take a fresh air and look at the world from others pov.

+MrAdonis258 Firstly, about the issue of the freedom of speech. I don't know where did u get the idea that there are no freedom of speech of China and the CCP controls the media. In China, it's true that CCP is the only ruling party, but there are other parties working together with CCP and give CCP advices and supervise their behaviours. So, people has channel to speak out their own opinions and are free to speak. If u could speak Chinese, u can see information are not blocked out for Chinese people. (I'm living in the UK, so I could get information from both sides and I don't think the information and the speech freedom were controlled in China) The medias in western countries also have the pressure from their governments or their stakeholders or personal interests. There's no 100% neutral report. If u take difference opinions as brainwashed, then I have nothing to say. I just wanna tell u this is the China in my eyes-people in China are as free as people on the rest of the world.

The comment section made it seem so bad but the video itself isn’t really that bad.
Everyone for themselves, it’s only natural that Koreans want the best for Korea. Everyone is looking out for their own benefit. Tho some of these Koreans don’t seem to understand that and take everything so personally. So here is something I think everyone in Korea should understand. “China is not against you, China is for themselves (and so is everyone else)”
US is helping them because it benefit themselves. They want to form a military circle around China because China is getting stronger now and may be a threat to America in the future. If China wasn’t growing that fast economically and is not threatening US’s superiority over the world, US wouldn’t care about these petty island disputes in Asia. Which actually happens around the world way more commonly than they make it out to be.
China is against THAAD because it is against their best interest. They don’t want US military near them because of reason I stated above. So if you put a big ass firearm near the Chinese border, defense to North Korea or not you would not like it. I mean wouldn’t Koreans feel the same if NK or China or Japan set up a big ass gun next to them?
Not to mention this would also irritate North Korea which is actually a bigger threat to China than to South Korea. They put the nuclear testing sites as far away from Pyongyang as possible, which means it’s also as far away from South Korea a possible. So if any leaks happens or if Kim Jong Un decides to throw a temper tantrum, the first affected would be North East China, which had already suffered several earthquakes from the nuclear testings.
Also, reunification and war are both things China doesn’t want. Because both will bring a bunch of US military to their border and also force them to handle millions of NK refugees. That’s why China is trying to drag out the current situation as long as possible.
Also US has a history of messing up other countries, toppling their government, piss off after they get what they want, and then refuse refugees from said countries. Think about it, what benefit would US get from Korean reunification or war if China was weak? The Korean War was ultimately a war between them and the guy they had a problem with at the time (Soviet Union). If Cold War didn’t happen, their may be a civil war but never to his extent. And after either reunification or war, or both, would US help to restore a broken down North Korea? Help the two Koreas overcome their cultural differences, and the crimes and conflict that is doomed to happen due to the massive difference in values? Nope, they will just move their base up north. And guess what, that would be justified because they are only obliged to answer to the best interest of their people, not Korea
True alliance can only happen when both parties happens to want the same thing, and in this case Korea’s objective is different from both US and China. You can complain and call them evil or unreasonable as much as you want, but ultimately everyone is for themselves and no one is obligated to put Korea’s objective, as morally superior as it may be, before their own interest.
So Korea basically stuck in the conflict between two super power, which is exactly what happened in the active Korean War (substitute China with Soviet Union, I’m already getting deja vu?) Sucks but there is nothing personally here (so like don’t understand why they act like China hate them and US loves them here). If Koreans want to get out of this situation the only thing they can do is retake autonomy of their own military and solve their problem with North Korean without intervention from America or China.
Of course South Korea would think that having IS military is also in their favour. NK does have nuclear weapons and you can never be too careful. But yea long-term wise you guys would still be discarded after US gets what they want so it’s your own trade-off to make.
p.s. China doesn’t see Korea as a colony lol, north or south. Korea as a whole is technically still in war with itself, and whoever have the misfortunate to govern it after reunification would wish they had to deal with ISIS instead. China sees South Korea as US-lite. It’s such a bizzare victim mentality that someone must want to overrule you because they are mean to you, but don’t realise that you are housing what is technically their enemy which is probably the actual target of their hostility?

Korea's unfavorable attitude toward China is significantly higher among the young than the elderly. In particular, in the case of teenagers and 20s, the unfavorableness to China is considered to be over 90%.
The anti-China sentiment in Korea is very serious. This is due to the arrogant attitude of the Chinese Communist Party, diplomatic disrespect, and the Northeast Project. The Taiwanese flag was hung on the streets of Korea's Chinatown due to the deepening anti-Chinese sentiment in Korea. Contrary to China, Taiwan is highly favored.
