I just grabbed another bottle tonight the first one is almost gone! I have the Batch No.21-08 @ 112.5 proof. and the $41.99 price isn't that bad for all you get. The MM46, MM 101 & Maker's Mark Private Selection are also quite tasty. 🥃Cheers!
Definitely underrated but I always grab the store picks or 46 cask strength if I see it. I have had some Makers store picks that beat a whole lot of allocated stuff by a long shot.
The first couple of years this was available, this product regularly beat Old Rip 10 year old. But in 2018-2019, I noticed a sharp woody note that started creeping in and I didn't like it. The 2021 and 2022 batches seem slightly better, but the wonderfully balanced sweetness that was present in the ~2015 year batches is still largely missing.
I am not crazy about the regular Maker's Mark, but I think everything else in their lineup is solid. I really like the Cask Strength, but the 46 Cask Strength is even better. I prefer it to Weller Antique 107. Cheers!
Just have got Makers Mark 46 one Private Selection and MM 101 love all three saw a cask strength this weekend. Only ones they had at liquor I went to were from 2020 and 2021 both around $65 sorry hard pass. 😐🥃🟥
What the....salsa music?? Maker's CS seems to linger on shelves. But like you said, it may be getting better, but until yall start putting these in Best of Lists and referring to them by batch #, I don't have a good enough reason to pick up another bottle anytime soon.
The CS is a nice bourbon. Tasty, rich, and satisfying (IMO). It’s also $42 here in Florida. I see a bunch of people talking about Makers 46 CS. That costs me $64 here. Definitely not worth it. I can get better bourbon for that price.

Cask strength drinks nice and sweeter when you let it breathe. Gets better after that neck pour. Ready to crack my Brt-02.

Not a fan of the cask strength. Now the 46 cask strength if can find it is nock out. I even prefer regular 46.

Have you noticed that the amount of whiskey in your glass changes the flavor/aroma profile? Try a short pour vs. a regular pour - honestly!
