Yes, High pass is a very helpful tool. Use high pass to also sharpen images. New layer >desaturate image>apply high pass>apply blending effect overlay or softlight.

If you Notice The Justice League JL Thing, they have not removed America from there, as it can be seen in form of Star between JL.

I remember when i was kid my 2nd class school art Competition where i had to create "Shaktiman" painting. I was surprised to see why everyone is colouring him in Red and Yellow while i coloured him in Black Suit with white Chakra in middle of chest.
Well we had Black & White television at that time.

It is not only about minimal or complex.
It also depend on the feel of that product like sucide squad poster is too complex and bright and because the movie itself is very bright and funny.
On the other hand Superman movie and Batman is more on the mature side and have a deeper meaning so they made a minimal but more focused poster for that.

Despite only recently joining your channel, as a Graphic Designer I was able to relate to everything you said in some way, including my thoughts, my point of view, my imagination, and my creativity. In other words, whatever you explained, I was literally on the same boat. Of course, I was unable to explain it to others, despite your excellent job. What you are explaining about the Punisher and Batman logo is called as Gestalt theory. It means how you perceive a whole picture by looking to sum of its part. For ex: FedEx logo.

Sir u talk about Marvel and DC . But you here is three big super heroes team X-Men, Avengers and Justice League.. if you see X-Men are popular at comic and animation. Mutants are less popular but still it survive in industry like Deadpool.... They comes under Marvel but separate identity.. u have to make video on XCU [X-Men Cinematic universe].
