You got to also consider the budget which was only 18 cr, so honestly with the given budget the vfx was perfect
what i thought was in running scene and that bus scene they didn't focused on vfx and focused more on vfx in last fight sequence , like shamim said to priortise vfx where most needed if tight budget

The most amazing thing about this movie is that minnal is based in a village and not in a High Tech metro city like others. It shows a realistic approach that superhero can be from anywhere.
But compared to Krrish 3 it was not that cringy but yeah it still sucks that vibe
@@pratyushkumarnayak1348 Krrish 3 is a garbage. I never knew a muvi could be that worst. Each and every sequence is cringe in that movie, as if the sole purpose of Rakesh Roshan was to destroy super hero culture in India.

@@shubhjack I don't think that Krish 3 was garbage I admit that it was bad and its plot was messy and there were cringy scenes but still the action scenes were quite good and that pandemic scene was also good

13:32 Raj comics were not popular in Kerala. Kerala has it's own superhero comics like "Dinkan". They might have left out Kerala superhero refence as the target audience was not limited to malayalees.
So the question is, if they were trying to make the film for mass audiences, why did they leave heroes like Shaktiman out? Or other superhero or comic book references, as you noted, "Raj comics?" But if they targeted Malayalees or the collective South India, why did they not bring their heroes references? They could've gone the third way, which is to bring Northern-belt superheroes in the Hindi/English dub while catering to Southern India with the heroes they saw.

@@RhiboNuclicAcid shaktiman aired in the 90s and the story takes place in 80s. So it doesnt make sense to mention shaktiman. It also doesnt make sense to mention raj comics because there is no way a 8 year old kid from a rural village in kerala would have access to a hindi comic book which was not published much or would have understood it.
Also since the story doesnt mention if it happens before raj comics was published either

4:26 yes Shamid Da they did it practically & in an interview with "Abish Mathew" the director of this movie "Basil Joseph" said that it was one of their crewmates idea to have an "Electromagnet" beneath the table & inside the utensils for this scene as you must have seen how it continuously moves & behaves around another Magnet.

13:55 Bro This movie was made for Theatres only..but due to Covid situation they had to Release it through NETFLIX !!
Minnal ⚡ Murali team waited for more than a Year to Release it in Theatres but the Covid cases kept on increasing so they chose the OTT release..the Producer Confirmed that if everything goes great, the Sequels will be Releasing in Theatres + NETFLIX together like Hollywood films !!
if they relase this movie in theatre I will watch it again for those beautiful camera shots and bg score

11:30 is my favorite scene. How the villain checks on hero and after revealing he tells the hero to escape the scene as villagers prepare to attack.

At 14:25 instead of saying "superhero" the kid should have said "apna superhero" to show child perspective of the situation and it would also have made the scene more connected to the audiences

Tovino Thomas ( Minnal ⚡ Murali ) and Director Basil Joseph Confirmed in an Interview that some of the tricks used in that film were Real and not CGI.. example Jaison Holding a Rotating Fan, Winning the Ring Toss Game ( the Steam Cooker part), Most of the Stunts ( Since he had an internal injury during Kala movie's shoot he couldn't perform all Stunts ), for the Telekinesis Objects Vibrating Scenes they used Electro magnetic tricks !!

I would like to point one interesting thing about this movie
I'm sure many saw that
Shibu had a black cat
And Jaison had a white cat
These were symbolic and showed that one was the hero and one was a villain

jo idea reverse engineer karne wala point tha wo bhot jada use karta hu mai. matlab mai bhot stories likhta hu aur usme se almost 90% ese hi hote jo bas ek line ya ek scene se aate hai aur phir unko develop karne me lag jata hu. theme kya fit baithega, in characters se kya show kar sakta hu etc etc.

bro, I completely agree with the second part where you mentioned about child looking at the poster and telling "superhero", for the first part when nephew and Jaison (tovino ) were talking about DC Superheroes and didn't mention shakthiman. I think that's because of the time the movie was set in. the movie gave a vibe of the 1980s, with Jaison's dressing sense and the retro funky music being played in the beginning when was going to ask out his GF. me and many of my fellow friends had the same feeling that movie was set in before 1990s. although there was no mention in which time the movie was based on. I think the director did purposely so they can have flexibility with upcoming part 2. and shakthiman was released in 1997 . so I think second part is kinda meh okayish

Yeah the boy saying superhero was good but I think Superman's poster should not have shown Minnal Murali is our Indian superhero so I felt in that scene that he is being represented as Superman its my opinion you're opinion can be different

The story is based pre shaktiman... No internet mobile solve many problems. And leaving other Indian superheroes out helps to avoid future problems if story expands beyond this story

The movie is set in 1998. Shaktimaan had just started in 1997. I guess that's why.
Many here is commenting that the utensils vibrating is some sort of electro magnetic trict but its not, first of all they are aluminum so its not magnetic, the had made holes on the desk where the glass and other utensils are kept and a piece of small iorn rod is used to shake it from under the table its so simple. 🙂

Actually this film was supposed to be released in theatres, and not as a Netflix release initially. But due to the course of actions, pandemic and all, the makers decided to go on with the Ott release route. So I guess that should justify the massy appeal of the film.
And that 'superhero' dialogue was not as bad as the Krish scene😅 And the kid saying superhero was more like an admiration/curiosity and not in a 'tera baap aaya' attitude, at least in the malayalam part.😝

Shamim brooo, I think about your superman openion that I think you're saying is relatable for me I feels like minnal Murali is't just another superman he is some kind of inspiration for India now cus we didn't connect with super man more rather than shaktiman like heroes... (Not being selective, but it feels like another superhero. Not an inspiration, but I respect their thoughts because I am not that kind of old yet to understand it😂,but may in future)
