- Happy Tuesday Newsday! We hope you’ve been having such a great week so far! What’s the weather like where you are?
This Friday, Jenny is whipping up a quilt designed by Melissa Corry called the Braided Irish Chain.
We’re so excited that it is once again Doan Girls Retreat time! The retreat kicks off tonight and we can’t wait to see everyone! If you’re still on your way to Hamilton, travel safely! We’ll see you soon.
Here at Missouri Star, we’ve been celebrating Christmas in July! Are you getting ready for the holiday season? What projects have you been stitching up?
Our NEWEST shop, The Fabric Market, is now open! Did you see our shop tour last week? Have you been inside? We love this addition to Hamilton and hope you can make it to The Fabric Market someday!
Birthday Bash is coming up and Jenny has been busy stitching up some new outfits for the occasion! The pattern that Jenny used for the dress is Simplicity pattern 8591 and the pattern for Mr. Jenny’s vest is It’s Sew Simple McCall’s style L9531.
For updates on dress progress and other things Jenny gets up to, follow her on Instagram @jennymsqc.
Have a great week, quilters!
If you have any questions for Jenny, leave them in the comments!
I wish I could come to Hamilton. I found your channel a month ago and I am hooked. I have never quilted ( I am 72) I have wanted to for years but I did not think I could. Now I am getting my things together and by Christmas I will have a quilt done. I think what you and your family has done for your little town is amazing. My happiest childhood memories are from a little town . Union Missouri. I was 10 the last time I was there. I am pretty much home bound so I am grateful that you have the Best on line store. I will miss you while you are on your trip but I am sure Nat and Missy will keep us all learning and quilting. God Bless you.
I soooo wish you would do a tutorial on making these dresses Miss Jenny. They are so adorable. How fun would this be?? ☺️🥰☺️🥰
Where did you get the pattern for your dress?
What pattern did you use for the pink dress? It's gorgeous ❤️❤️❤️
That would be awesome
The pattern is listed in the details of the video.
Yes!!!!

Love your dresses! Nice work!
I really enjoyed visiting the Fabric Market while at the retreat this month! However, I was so star struck with seeing you and Misty and Cherry and Ron I didn’t pay much attention to all those good things. 😂 I needed another day in there undistracted! I hope to be back one day. 😊 It’s a beautifully organized store.
Love, love, love your table runner and dresses.
Jenny, I love the dresses. The pink one is my favorite.
Love the dresses and the table runners.
Oh Jenny, those dresses are awesome!
I remember my mom sewing over pins, but back then the pins were so tiny & thin. But she was using an older Singer at the time, too. Not a new computerized machine. Love all the dresses 🥰🥰 Looking forward to more things in the Fabric Market to be online!!
I’ve been working on my Christmas gifts, too. I’m also doing a table runner. It’s reversible to enjoy in the spring and summer.
You brighten my Tuesday!
Love,love love the dresses!!
Love the dresses! I also noticed you have a picture of one of my Hero’s Mr. Rogers on the board behind you:). Sweet.
I keep Missouri Star in business by sewing over my pins :). I get the expensive thin pins, however, they get bent when the needle hits them, but nothing breaks. I loose about 4-6 per project. So I try to buy the 100 packs rather than the 50 pack :) I bet you are getting excited by your trip. Such a different world with connectivity. I spent a year in the Peace Corp in the Middle East in 1980, with no phone calls home and a tissue paper mailgram that was both the letter and the envelope, so it would weigh less than an ounce, and took 6 weeks to reach the US. No one knew where I was in real time. You will get to share the experience with your family as it is happening. Less culture shock on return as well, as everyone will have a sense of your journey along the way. So important.
Looking forward to seeing you in Birmingham!
I'm in town now until Friday and hope to meet you. I absolutely LOVE the Fabric Market! Trish from Florida.
Love you, Jenny
I love the dresses. You are so talented! Love watching you on Tuesdays. I want so badly to visit Missouri. I was supposed to go for my 60th birthday but, then the C came and stopped that. I told my husband that next year he’s taking me for my 65th birthday in October. I can’t wait.
I went last year. It will take you most of the day.so many shops to see. Also check out quilt museum nice exhibits, not affiliated with Missouri star. Make reservation at a b&b I don’t believe there are hotels close by. Enjoy your trip.
@@nettieanngill782 Thank you so much for the info. So it takes a whole day? Thats a lot of shops. Is there anything my husband can do while I’m shopping? Any other info you can give me? Is there anything else to do nearby? How are the restaurants?
@@lindafrantz4913 if I remember right there is the JCP museum within the library and his home is near by to see.(I didn’t visit the home but the museum I did with my husband. All about the beginnings of his life)I believe there is a man cave in one of the shops. It doesn’t take all day maybe 4-5 hours. There is a hamburger sandwich shop that we found and a mex place you can drive to close to the freeway. There maybe more off the beaten path. The staff were all nice and helpful. Enjoy it, we did. The area is all green and beautiful. Wide open spaces.
We NEED the pattern!! lol
Great wardrobe! Enjoy!
Love those dresses so adorable! You are going to look so fashionable as my six year old granddaughter fashion diva would say 😉❤! Love the fabric and style.. such a busy time for yall so happy for all your blessings!!

Jenny, I have looked locally for the dress pattern from Simplicity 8590? Is it discontinued? I love your dresses❤️ You are such an inspiration to me!
It is 8591 and it is vintage. I found it on eBay

The Irish Chain is beautiful
Oh my goodness, your dresses are absolutely gorgeous. Now you need a dresden one.
What dress pattern are you using, Ms.Jenny? Love them. They would certainly make nice dresses for this hot TX weather. I enjoy your charming, friendly chats. Take care, blessings to y'all.
Love the dress you are wearing. Is there a pattern available? Looking forward to seeing you next Thursday at the festival. 😊😊😊😊
The pattern that Jenny used for the dress is Simplicity pattern 8591.
@@MissouriQuiltCo thank you so much for replying. Much appreciated 😊😊. However the pattern doesn’t look like the dress she was wearing. Is it definitely 8591?
Jenny, I love the khaki striped dress you're wearing. Did you make it, or can you tell us where you purchased it?
Looking forward to the braided irish chain tutorial. Love your dresses Jenny
0:16 😅
OMG!😂. Get your feet off the table! I love it. What a dad thing to say 😂
I was taught back in 8th grade Home Ec to always remove the pins. So I almost always do. I have broken or bent my needle when I've hit a pin.
I love the dress you are wearing , stripes ! and a collar..would you tell us manufacture or where to look ..Thanks, You are such an inspiration.
Thank you for offering the sn-ugly templates!!
I LOVE LOVE the pink dress!!!!! I love them all and the dress you have on is SO cute too!!!!! Is a pattern available? 😘🤗🥰💋
Hey Jenny! Love the dresses. Is the credenza behind you custom built? It’s so beautiful and organized!
We recently found a quilt packed away in a trunk while clearing out my late uncle's belongings. It has a rather large stain that could be rust or something else. I have washed it twice without any luck. Can you recommend a way to repurpose it?
I love your dresses! Please do a tutorial on them.
Question for Jenny - I am making the Tiny House Quilt. When I sew the rows together do I have to sew from one end and then alternate so that it doesn't curve?
Love the houses... loath nooms. Creep me out! But came up with 7 things I think would be fab.
So fun to listen to you!!
Where do you get the quilted print fabric you are using for your dresses? I LOVE those quilted prints!!
I would love to wear some dresses again... use to years ago what pattern did you use..love them...I made table runners years ago and gave some as gifts at Christmas..my mom got one and 2 sister in laws got one for the holidays...
I love your dresses 👗!
I love the dresses!!
Fashioning. Love the dresses.😊
I love the dress you have on
I love her dresses! I have looked on Simplicity website and Amazon, and the pattern 8591 is NOT what Jenny’s dresses are from. Could MSQC sell the pattern she is using so we could all make our own?
Lovely dresses Jenny😊
Love the dresses! I too wish you’d do a tutorial
