  • I recently built this miter saw station to help me gain some storage to organize the shop. The simple T track and stop blocks will help me get more repeatable cuts. It's been a while since I posted but I have a few shop projects I'm working on and will hopefully get a couple more videos out soon. Thanks for watching!

Looking forward to the sliding miter saw comparison, I currently have the Festool for the shop and the same Hitachi you have for the job site for trim as well as the 12 inch Dewalt for framing. I'm a big fan of the older version of the Hitachi, the version you have, the ones that were made in Japan. I bought the 8 1/2 new back in 1992 and the 10 inch early 2000's. In the 2010's I tried the Milwaukee, the newer versions of the Hitachi and the Bosch, they went back within a week.

I agree. I think using the old hitachi set pretty high standards. The festool is nice with a similar trigger position and the soft start. I just wish it wasn’t so expensive

You won’t regret the Kapex! Great saw!

It has been awesome so far. I resisted buying festool for years but picked up their sander, track saw and kapex over the last year. They live up to the hype

@@TwistedWorkshop77 So, what was it about the Bosch that you found difficult?

@@michaelstockdale the dust collection is really bad. I’ve always fought with eye infections when working in the shop so I was hoping it would be better. Also, the way the handle was oriented never felt comfortable when using my left hand. It put me way to the left of the blade. I like having a laser line but the Bosch doesn’t have one from the factory. I also like the soft start on my hitachi and the kapex the Bosch jumps when you pull the trigger. Lastly, I think I pulled it out of square a lot when cutting Wide boards

Thanks! The dust collection, the hard start and the ergonomics were to much to get used to
