(Post in progress, I'm going to list the lies I hear as I rewatch the video. It'll take some time to finish, so I'll be editing it as I go. I just wanted to get this post started, but wont be able to truly get going for another day or so) Lie- Maggie had stayed at Moselle Sunday night and left from Moselle to go to doc appt. Alex pretended to not see Maggie that morning because she was up early and out the door for appt. Truth- Maggie left for doc appt from Edesto. Alex & Maggie didnt sleep in the same house Sunday night. Lie- 1st interview, Alex told police Maggie was joining him to see his sick dad. Truth- Dad was in hospital, not at home in Alameda. Alex didnt attempt to bring Maggie with him to his mom's house. Lie- Alex said he was at mom's for 45mins to an hour. Truth- Alex was there 21 mins from time he turned onto driveway and exiting driveway. Lie- Denies hearing Paul discuss Cash's tail, claims he heard something about it from Rogan later. Truth- Alex was at the kennel, Rogan heard Alex's voice in background while on phone with Paul. Lie- The last time he saw Paul and Maggie was back at the house, eating supper. He denies that Rogan heard his voice during his phone call with Paul. Truth- Video proves Alex was at kennels with Paul and Maggie during the time Alex claims he was taking a nap at the house. (To be continued)
All the things he did with his son that day, knowing that he was going to kill him. He was using his son as an alibi for something to tell the police in my opinion.
He actually comes across as though a lawyer runs the show over the SLED officer. Very telling. He sure backs down in his body posture when he hears about that video taken with Alex' voice on it 😆
@@BlackStump172 no he called rogan after he killed them when Paul's phone had missed calls from rogan and alec wanted to find out if rogan had been in contact with Paul prior to murders
The smoking gun is what he doesn't say - when asked about earlier in the day and what happened at work, he fails to mention that the CFO of his firm confronted him about all the missing money, that he found out the jig was up, he was going to lose his job, his prestige, his law license and was going to jail. Betcha it wasn't exactly a topic of conversation over dinner that night, either. All three were acting 'normal' down at the kennel with the dog and the chicken, until Mr. BigShot decided to live up to his name, because he couldn't face his family and his shame and all his other 'problems' like the drug use. I'm convinced he was going to kill them (version of honor killing) and then himself but chickened out. Thus the asking Cousin Eddie to kill him - and he didn't give a damn if Eddie ended up on death row for a murder - goes to show how much of a psychopath he is.
Nope , I don’t believe he was going to kill himself , ever . If he was then he would not have left it three months . I bet that he intended to add weight to his theory of the Beach connection .
@@BlackStump172 Definitely, he wasn't trying to kill himself. How can his cousin, Eddie Smith, a hunter miss intentionally trying to kill someone point blank?? The suicide attempt was a lie Alex told once he realized SLED didn't believe him.
1. Maggie and Paul weren’t even supposed to be there that night. So what stranger or drug cartel would have even known to go down there?? And specifically - to the dog kennel area? 2. Hope they look into the true cause of death of his housekeeper, “tripped over the dogs” is a lie - since the dogs were not allowed in the house, because of possible allergies (said Maggie's sister) … maybe someone pushed the dogs into the housekeeper?
The death of their maid, Gloria Satterfield, is being investigated. SLED has received permission from her family to exhume her body. Based on online articles & HBO'S documentary on them it's alleged that Paul may have pushed Gloria. During the investigation of Maggie & Paul's murder SLED found evidence at Moselle related to the 2015 death of Stephen Smith, who's body was found in the middle of the road with his head bashed. Once again town rumors alleges that Buster & or Paul may have been involved with Smith's death. Smith's family & other town residents state that Alex & Randy Murdaugh were allowed by police officers to access the area of where Stephen Smith's body was found!
Agree on #1 entirely. As for #2 I believe she fell on the porch steps outdoors but could be mistaken. Alex made up the dog info to sure the insurance coverage would cough up.
I was a bit confused as to when Maggie was supposed to go to Moselle because Alex mentions how he wasnt sure if Maggie had already left for her Charleston appointment when he left for work that morning. I thought Maggie was riding up from Edesto on Monday. I also find it curious that Alex tried giving a fake time for leaving work and told investigator to check the timestamps of his work card but then the investigator pointed out that Alex came back to work & was let in the building cuz his card didnt work. I'm willing to bet Alex pretended his work card wouldnt swipe him in so the logs wouldn't show him still there. For what reasons, Idk but Alex tried to give the time that would reflect on the log & didnt mention anything about being let back in the building. *Edited for typo
His answers here are so slow and laborious, he's making it up as he goes along. Any innocent person would lose their patience answering these "stupid questions" while the murderers will still on the loose. The jury got it right!

Totally disagree his interview technique is superb..what a great way to study body language and catch him out in all his lies..if he'd gone in all guns blazing he probably wouldn't have even got the interview.
I thought this interview was going to show Alex’s true colors and was going to be explosive? Did they not release the entire interview? I’m disappointed 😂
He never once asks "what's being done to find the killers?" Too busy pretending to cry

He stops crying when he was confronted about the tree video
Wow, Alex's body language. He was terrified of the investigators!!
Maybe cause their body had to recuse himself
