Thank you so much! This is the best video on steamers that I have seen so far.
is it STILL the best video on steamers you've watched so far?
@@BRUNEKAS37 Yes, thank you, but I have not watched many since then.
I concur.
I've been in the market for a steamer and have been reading reviews, comparing, and watching UA-cam videos. A big complaint for many people is water drops on the clothes. In fact, the UA-camr I watched just before you pointed them out saying, "This is normal". Then she went on steaming the clothes in the way you said you should NOT or you'll get water drops on your clothes.
I feel a lot more confident about what to look for and how to use a steamer now. Thank-you.
Finally somebody come out with a very sensible and useful way how to steam garments using this tricks. Well Done! 👍😉

Thanks it was helpful
I'm sitting here chuckling over the idea of using a steamer to PUT a crease in the ARM of a shirt or blouse ... I take great care, when using a hand iron and an ironing board, to do sleeves without putting a crease down the full length of the sleeve, from the shoulder to the cuff ... the only creases I ever set into a shirt or blouse are the creases created by any intentional folds in the sleeve, usually on the bottom side of the sleeve, running from the cuff to about the middle of the lower arm ... It takes a bit of work, particularly if there isn't a sleeve board available, to avoid that 'shoulder to cuff' crease ... and for women's blouses and shirts, it helps to have a hand iron that's on the 'narrow' side ... but, it's one of the reasons using a steamer should be easier, than using an ironing board ...
Love those blue eyes with that dark mane, BTW ... ;) You're going to be a knock-out, when that mane goes grey ...
hes gorgeous in every way :)
Hi Ben! Thanks for video. Considering buying steamer for a long time already, still not sure about it. Is it in the end faster/easier to use steamer for shirts (I mostly iron shirts for my husband)? Thank you in advance for your response!

you remind me of hugh grant! haha. I'm thinking of buying the kambrook swift steam steamer, do you happen to know if its good/would you recommend it? I've seen pretty positive reviews so far :)
Hi HakunaPatara ♡ ! Thanks for the comment. I've never heard of it but give it a shot!
Thank you.
I have back probs and need to sit down to work. the hose seems to labour and forces me to stand to ease the steam.
what should I do?
does no one steam sitting down?
Any tips on type of room to steam in? bathroom etc? We live in a damp climate and mould is an issue. Also I'd like to use a steamer for cleaning our wooden floors, countertops and furniture. I read that it disinfects surfaces via the steam. Thoughts?
You can steam in any room, just be mindful. In the UK we don't have such humidity normally. Our steamers are typically for clothes and fabric, but there are lots of steam cleaners available more suited for floors and cleaning. All steam is good for disinfecting etc. It's great to minimise using chemicals.
Is a steamer safe to use on all fabrics? I'm wondering about rayon and silk.
Very safe and the best appliance to use on those super delicate fabrics.
Informative
my question was how to best prepare the shirt to be steamed. Hang dry or dryer dry?
Either should be fine!
Go on lad!
Thanks Nick! We try!!
Brilliant!
I purchased a steamer recently and returned it because the heated hose would burn my leg. Which models provide a hose that does not heat up too much?
Ouch! Both our steamers have insulated hoses, so they aren't hot to the touch.
Hope that helps!

I would like to use the steamer on cashmere. Is there anything I need to take care of, so the sweater would not shrink?
Hi Paula,
Great to hear from you! Steaming cashmere is the best way to care for it. Check out this video where we steamed a cashmere top:

All the best from across the earth!
can i ask. can we use clothes steamer to clean our sofa bed?
Hi! Thanks for the question.
Hot steam santiises and deodorises, so can be really good at refreshing soft furniture (like beds and sofas). You can see this at the end of either of our product overview videos as linked here:

Can a steamer shrink your clothes?
May I please ask how I could purchase your most heavy duty garment steamer in the U.S.? It's not on Amazon and your website does not appear to ship in the U.S. I bought the Rowenta Valet and the handheld steamer and had to return both of them. Super laborious and not very effective.
Sorry to say we don't sell in the USA! 😥
Thank you for your prompt response. Hopefully in future... ?

Is limescale an issue?
All water based products might suffer from limescale, if you subject them to hard water. However, descaling (simple with descaling crystals or a dilute solution in the water tank) will keep this to a minimum. We also recommend you flush your steamer via the drainage valve from time to time. More if you're using it commercially. Full instructions are inside our manuals!
