That tuner is a god send. Thanks! I will have to post my 80's shred approved tones (think malmsteen, moore, macalpine) somewhere for all the kids to enjoy :)
EVERY time I see you with the Type-X I go on to their builder... one of these days. Another fantastic video, Thomas! The McRocklin Suite has been such a massive motivator for me; I've probably doubled my play time during the day ever since getting it. Keep doing what you do, my friend; you're an inspiration to so many of us!
Excellent tutorial. That ducking feature is so, so nice! An amazing feature. When those delay trails get in the way of your sound and you want to say f*** it, just duck it! 🤘
I’m very pleased with the update i can put it to 16 samples with 48000 hz with no pops and it sounds awesome. I’m glad with the tuner this pluggin is coming along nicely.
Appreciate the tutorial dialing in tones, very helpful! Every time I use PolyChrome DSP I find something new/usable; Every time I use PolyChrome DSP, I'm impressed and amazed at how great it sounds. PolyChrome DSP is the plugin I've been waiting for. And it delivers.😎 Cheers!
when gain staging (stacking the gain: Attacker, Shredder, Riffer, Viber) which direction is the signal chain flow? Left to right? I know stacking an OD into Dist vs Dist into OD has different impact on the tone; what are your thoughts on being able to determine the gain staging "stacking" order? How would the order change the effect on the tone?
I usually prefer my crunch/distorted/hi gain rhythm tones "dryer" for a solid foundation, which makes "wet" lead tones stand out more, sound more epic and majestic, and makes the juxtaposition more pronounced. For "wet" tones, I usually like to have some dry signal included as well, for the same reason (solid foundation). IMO.
I have it now for 3 days and love the cleans but there is a lot of noise using the presets with gain. Any idea ? I use the Scarlett solo usb with an FRFR Box from Atomic. Greetings from Germany
Hi, it's sounds like too much input signal. It's best to aim for blue/green colour on the input ring, and perhaps only hitting red on your loudest chords. Feel free to pop on polychromedsp.com/discord/ where the team and other members of the community can help more quickly 👍🏻
Blackstar Live Logic is popular, but please remember native midi will be coming to a future version of the plug-in. Other peeps including Thomas are using midi via a Daw currently. Any questions feel free to drop by our discord polychromedsp.com/discord we have lots of users using all kinds of setups there 👍🏻
i don't understand how this with latency works, i downloaded the demo version, used ASIO4ALL set the samples to 64 Samples ( 0.4ms ) and i still get hearable latency. Does everyone just play with that latency or am i doing something wrong ? I would love to buy the PolyChrome DSP but i am still better of with direct audio monitoring and my MXR pedal at the moment :(
Hello! It sounds like your audio interface doesn’t natively support low latency asio drivers. Feel free to pop in to our community Discord for done advice, we’ve a lot of users that recently got up and running. That’s here: www.polychromedsp.com/discord
Man, I thought you were on to something genius when you misspoke “synthony”. But a Google search turned up that it’s already an Australian mashup of electronic dance music backed by a full blown symphony orchestra. Oh well…
Get the McRocklin Suite www.polychromedsp.com
So glad to have Thomas back on the guitar stage. Been a fan since Bad4Good.
Please do more and more of these tutorials! They are very helpful for guys like me.
Will keep em coming! : ) join McRocklin on Twitch.TV/McRocklin he'll be doing some tone breakdowns there too.

God I love these videos!
We love you!
Great to get some more insight from you, your phrase "it just makes you wanna play" summorizes this plugin very well, thank you for making it :)

Can’t wait to check out the update, tonight. 🤘🏻
Enjoy!
Ooh a bit of type X action!! Lovely
Yeah!! 🙌🏻

Honestly, the Default setting is a great lead tone!
Nice update too.
Yessss!
great video I bought your plug in two days ago just waiting for my volt 1 to show up in the mail🤪
Good times, thank you!
Enjoy the ride! Build up your tones as Thomas shows in this video, and prepare to spend hours exploring the factory presets!
i'm always learning something new with these new videos and that evh video was awesome. i want more like these!
You got it, thank you!

Absolutely Killer sounds!
🤘🏻 🌟 🤘
Can’t wait to get it once you implement MIDI! I run off my Mac for live usage and this would be perfect.
Absolutely!
We need a preset call “Chicken Chucker”!
Haha indeed!
Great. Have you a more video with your playing ?
On the @mcrocklin channel - and later on this video : )

The chain is left to right, so even if you enable Viber first and Attacker second, the order would be Attacker -> Viber
Left to right.
Is that all from one plug-in ? No way, can’t be…nothing on the market sounds that good
Just #1 plug-in hehe 😎

Now I want hardware (like a pedal board) to switch between presets. Hmm.
0:11 Tremolo ?
Kiesel Hipshot 👍🏻
That was cool, what is the name of that backing track?
Me and You by McRocklin & Hutch.
@@polychromedsp Thank you!!

How to get this effect?
It’s auto pan in mono.
how about being able to stack the reverbs and delays? so we cold almost emulate the cloudburst.
No plans for this currently, but we're almost playing around with new features and routing options so you never know!
Not using v1.1? 😁
It is 1.1, but with an internal version number ;)
Hello Thomas, are the EQs (8-band + 4-band) stacked and can be used in tandem, or are they the same EQ just represented in two different ways?
It is one EQ with two different modes. The 4 band is parametric, while the 8 is graphic with fixed bands.
I have it now for 3 days and love the cleans but there is a lot of noise using the presets with gain. Any idea ? I use the Scarlett solo usb with an FRFR Box from Atomic. Greetings from Germany

Absolutely, yes!
Thomas who? Can I find any guitar tutorials by you! Thanks!

What was that in the beginning
How did you get that effect at the beginning?
That’s an auto panner in mono.

This guy has listened a lot to Steve Lukather ;)
where can we get the backing track to jam too???
This is a McRocklin & Hutch Track. Please remind @mcrocklin on his Twitch.TV/McRocklin stream later, maybe he'll give it out as a bonus : )

sounds generic to me lols
Try taking your helmet off.
not surprising, as generic sounds are your specialty.
Thanks, Cpt Banality!
