But anyways, this story go for a more mature take with tossing the black and white plot device out the window, X is now left with doubt on whether or not they are really doing the right thing. A robot is called a "maverick" if it tries to harm human or violates its rules. But why should a robot serve under mankind, especially when it attains intelligence similar to that of mankind? Does it not deserve the same respect and statuses as that of a real man? If these robots want to be left alone, do men have the right to say otherwise? Kinda makes you wonder if Maverick Hunters are just tools for human to keep robots in line. In the Maverick Hunter X & the prequel OVA Day of Sigma also dwell deep into the whole topic of the evolution of robotics. In fact, the entire X series dives into that, and it's then taken a step forward in Mega Man Zero, what with the energy crisis of Neo Arcadia and the Reploid genocide. That's not starting with the Elf Wars aftermath.
That is actually why the japanese opening song of this game is genius. Just like Lumine, It mostly phrases Sigma's original worldviews before he became "evil virus man" in a way that in a diffrent story, the player would have been supposed to root for.
@@kanemccarthy1979Honestly, I prefer the idea of Albert finding him, but in this way getting ambitious with his Copy ability finding that Axl had Lumine still inside him something that Albert would have interest to have to make his way to become the MegaMen Ruler in the future, basically prelude of ZX Advent, in that way could explain why Axl was converted in to Model A, it could be involved more stuff with this Villain background story but well Capcom is not interested on megaman at this days sadly
I just want this story to continue and the X5 story continue about sigma saying his been working with someone that build old robots in the pass obviously Wily also making X or Zero found the original Megaman with protoman to help them
The plotpoint about that "someone" helping Sigma was already addressed in the story of X6 through the mysterious character Isoc(implied to be a robotic incarnation of Dr. Wily). Given what he says and does in X6 it can be assumed that Isoc/Wily helped Sigma build a new body for him so that he could both: A) Kill X out of hatred and jealousy for Dr. Light and B) Test Zero's own powers and abbilities to possibly figure out wether or not he is in fact the "strongest robot ever created". Saddly "Isoc"(or any other incarnation of Wily) never made another appereance after X6 so one has to wonder if wether he had other plans beyond simply wishing to test his ultimate creation.
TheFluffernutter12 just because Inafune originally intended to end the X series in X5, doesn't mean X7 and X8 are not canon. By that logic Zero 4 and the ZX series aren't canon either, because Inafune wanted to end the Zero series in mega man zero 3
Either he got infected by the Maverick Virus or maybe Lumine might have even transferred his mind into Axl's. X9 could involve Axl getting possesed by Lumine as he plans some terror.
JULIÁN GAMER 842 ALEMAN i think it's stated somewhere that he became a maverick there's also a theory where they explain that he was infected by lumine (the evidence is that cristal thing in axl's head), but it was never confirmed :/
Assuming that Command Mission is canon. He won’t go maverick at all. In fact that attack actually enchanced his copy abilities. If you remember prior to that Axl’s copy abilities were limited. He could only copy Reploids his size. Aside from Red bosses were out of the question. That’s not the case now
He probably dies because everyone hates him and it's easier for Capcom to just kill him off, but not before one last hoo-rah where he turns out to be the final boss and X and Zero have to kill him in what will probably be meant to be heartrending and emotional conflict like the X4 Iris fight, but will more likely end up just being cathartic. :/ That's basically the only way this can go.
My predictions for X9 Mavericks: Katanaceratops (A ceratopsian maverick who uses katanas that shoot energy) Stegonaginata (A stegosaurus maverick who uses spikes like missiles and uses her naginata) Grenade Elephant (An elephant maverick who shoots grenades out of his trunk) Capoeira Korala (a koala maverick that uses capoeira moves) Executor Goldfish (a goldfish that uses an executioner's axe and makes tremors with every strike)
That would have been a cool twist but alas Inticreates didn't want to "meddle" with the X Era if it meant preventing Capcom from eventually making X9 to explain away the cliffhanger. Imagine having Axl as a Biometal though 🤔😀 wouldn't that have been a cool idea.

What's the ending song at the end of the game
and so, megaman zx have just began
Still waiting for axl's standalone game that takes place after mmz where ciel finds him and he saves the world
Why? Would that happen?
After MegaMan zero 4 there are no more wars for 200 years
Until zx rolls around
@@isauldron4337 there's clearly a point where ciel found axl tho there had to be sone kind of a story there
ZX Advent
@@b-fenix5789 yeah but that's why I'm wanting an axl focused game. Zx advent means ciel found the og axl at some point.
Rip to the X series you will ve missed
Axl got an new Power! 7:19
Zero's speech still gets me. It shows how far he's been evolving since the days he was a Psychotic lunatic and the encounter with Sigma.
20 years and they are still in that elevator
Damn it capcom
I never knew X had that much saliva
We need to x9 😭😭😭😢
They’ve been in that elevator for nearly 20 years, by the way.
Is the other Megaman X games flashback real in the credits?
No, that's only a edit
19 years later, we might get resolutions.
1:42 Maybe Zero was immdeiantly thinking of Iris here....
I think x6 is the canon ending to the series
it is, X6 makes an ending of zero sleeping until elf wars
you two are wrong capcom take canon x7-X8 and that Zero ending maybe happen afer X8 no X6
No they're right X6 was what Inafune (The creator of X) intended to stop at
But Frankly I like the x7 x8 timeline better since X isn't dead
TheFluffernutter12 x doesn’t ever die in the x series, but he will later on.
TheFluffernutter12 just because Inafune originally intended to end the X series in X5, doesn't mean X7 and X8 are not canon. By that logic Zero 4 and the ZX series aren't canon either, because Inafune wanted to end the Zero series in mega man zero 3
I’m sad that the Mega Man X series had come to an end. But hey at least it ended on a happy note.
x series ending and zero era series begins
I hope all isn’t dead
Does that mean that axl died on his way back to his home planet?
I think Megaman/rockman X8 anticipated game because they have optional boss a.k.a lumine. We hoped capcom makes continued MM9/RM9
I want Capcom to make Mega Man X9
Capcom: welp to bad you get x dive
Stay dreaming...
This looks like the end of the X Series
I still don't know what that thing was when they were going down the elevator at the end
What was that spark that was in Axl's head gem?
Chase Priest a fragment of Lumine's tentacle
... Oh crud... don't tell me he's gonna end up maverick too...!
That's what we've been waiting 15 years (and counting) to find out, but Capcom is still yet to make X9.
If we count Mega Man X Command Mission as canon, he's not a maverick.
Either he got infected by the Maverick Virus or maybe Lumine might have even transferred his mind into Axl's. X9 could involve Axl getting possesed by Lumine as he plans some terror.
2:58 the best part :3
Then after you beat the game go back for X6 and then go for MegaMan zero saga and you will understand what happened next
He????? Wtf when I played the game as a kid I thought lumine was a girl
Well he was voiced by a woman plus had a very affeminate body anyway so it is very easy to forget Lumine was a male reploid.
Optic Sunflower is also a guy for anyone who didn't know
Wait in the credits that's in the background because I didn't get it
What will happen with Axl?
JULIÁN GAMER 842 ALEMAN i think it's stated somewhere that he became a maverick
there's also a theory where they explain that he was infected by lumine (the evidence is that cristal thing in axl's head), but it was never confirmed :/
Assuming that Command Mission is canon. He won’t go maverick at all. In fact that attack actually enchanced his copy abilities. If you remember prior to that Axl’s copy abilities were limited. He could only copy Reploids his size. Aside from Red bosses were out of the question. That’s not the case now
@@Drebin1989 it turns out that Command Mission isn't canon
@@Drebin1989 command mission is released before the real x8 came out.
That's basically the only way this can go.
A question:what difference have each character's ending?
So Mega man x9 never come...
What happened in Axl's head crystal
SEAN KELLY)
I like megaman x8 than megaman x7
My predictions for X9 Mavericks:
Katanaceratops (A ceratopsian maverick who uses katanas that shoot energy)
Stegonaginata (A stegosaurus maverick who uses spikes like missiles and uses her naginata)
Grenade Elephant (An elephant maverick who shoots grenades out of his trunk)
Capoeira Korala (a koala maverick that uses capoeira moves)
Executor Goldfish (a goldfish that uses an executioner's axe and makes tremors with every strike)
Watch a fan Maverick roster by ultimate maverick x
If we get megaman x9 then i want it to be 2D and have anime cutscences. Like x4
Yeah I don't think 3d works. Megaman 11 tried that and though I haven't played it, I can see them going in that same direction with the original
Axel infected?
Probably
It's not clear
Also, did mega man X command mission came out before X8 or after X8?
Before.
Story wise after x8. All 3 are special class a hunters at that point
@Andre Harris S Class is the same as Special Class A
The easiest way for me to remember that Command Mission released first is because Command Mission (at least on the PS2) included a demo for X8.
Pretty sure this is the starting point of zero
Actually Axl were supposed to be the Basis of Biometal A
That would have been a cool twist but alas Inticreates didn't want to "meddle" with the X Era if it meant preventing Capcom from eventually making X9 to explain away the cliffhanger. Imagine having Axl as a Biometal though 🤔😀 wouldn't that have been a cool idea.
2:56
Que weon es axl
worst ending ever shame on you Capcom for shame :(
WHAT A DESTINY GODDAMNIT
I don't find it to be a bad ending. On the contrary, it is an amazing lead up. BUT it ended up leading to nothing since X9 never became a thing...
VixYW that's the point, is a bad ending because is a cliffhanger, many years and we don't see an x9
Well, the Megaman X Legacy Collection will eventually lead to X9. So we will finally know the "conclusion".
