Such a lot of work but you guys did great. That was a big project to take on but it looks amazing and now it is YOU. I really like that way you put those two chairs over by the window because I bet that is a great place to sit. Thanks for sharing! I realized I missed a few recent videos and got pumped to watch them :)

I have a somewhat specific question: first of all this looks incredible!!! Wonderful, wonderful wonderful job! I noticed that you screwed in the blanks and I see other people installing wide plank, pine using rough cut nails instead. I like the idea of screws because it’s a lot easier. What type of screws did you use?

Love the wide pine floors, but why did you bother? The old flooring was likely historic, solid wood, and way more durable than that pine! I know because I have wide pine we put down 20 years ago (1865 house) and it is wearing badly where it gets traffic. But the old original flooring (oak and ash) we left on the first floor and repaired where needed is perfect. Just saying for information if anyone else is thinking of going this route.

Yea we like the pine getting rough, but the original floor wasn’t real hardwood anyway and only 20 years old but really trashed from the dogs that lived here.
Kitchen was also linoleum, so that had to go!
