I too feel the cold dear Cuckoo. I am quite often sat here being creative then I get a cold nose and fingers then that means I need to either move about or put on the heating! I feel for your dad as I lost 'him in doors' just over five years ago and know what he is going through. It will eventually become better for him but his pain is still very raw. Please give him a massive hug from all your subscribers. Hope you feel warmer soon. Sophie X

Hi, Gayna. Here we are in mid-October and I'm already dreading the end of the month because it will mean the end of your Vlogtober. I am so enjoying our daily visits with you, regardless of what you are chattering about. I can almost knit an entire mitered square during each episode. I am always amazed at how much Ted looks and speaks like Toby. It's a good thing.

Hello! You said you weren't sure what pinks were...they are nostalgic flowers for me, they were my Father in law's favourite flower! He used to geow them in his conservatory. They look like carnations and smell like cloves. L9vely podcast! Best wishes to your Dad😊

Yes you are right but when she gave me the seeds for pinks and I said I loved carnations/pinks she said they aren’t those sort of pinks. I’ll sow them and see what comes up!

You are so considerate when thinking of others and how they feel. You can't prepare for grief until you go through it, especially when it's your spouse. I'm a little over two years (can you believe it?) and I still miss him so so much. I still cry but not as much. I don't ever want to stop missing him even though it hurts. Support is what you dad needs and you are a wonderful daughter! I would get a second opinion on why you're feeling cold. You look like the way I look in the dead of winter. I throw on lots of layers, double on the socks and leggings including some sherpa wool sweatpants!! lol! I hope you find out why you're cold though. Those yorkies looked scrumptious! I just baked me some Choc. Chip Pumpkin Bread! :). 'Tis the season

Gayna, if you soak the older sweet pea seeds overnight in warm water and then pat them dry on kitchen paper before planting, that will give them the best possible chance of success! Agree with you about being cold...bring on the layers! 😂xx

When I get cold and nothing warms me up, for me, it means I am a bit dehydrated. I drink a potion of water, ginger, garlic, cranberry juice and salt. But if you are not allergic to coconut, then use coconut water. If you don't like cranberry, lemon or lime juice works too. Dinner looked yummy!

Hi Gayna, have you ever thought that you may be perimenopausal? I am and yes I get hot flashes but I also really feel the cold, much worse than I did when I was younger. I wear lots of layers so I can regulate my temperature quickly. For example, it’s been 35 degrees Celsius here today but I’m sitting here with a winter dressing gown on because the air cond is making it 24 degrees. 🤨 Go figure! I feel for your Dad. We lost my Stepdad in 2017 and my Mum never recovered really. Then tragically we lost Mum just over a week ago, suddenly and unexpectedly. We are heartbroken but I get some solace from watching your vlogs - they give me a bit of ‘normal’ in what is a very surreal time. ❤️‍🩹💔

I get blue lips and have an icy nose and hands in winter, I usually wear 4 layers, including a polo neck jumper to keep my neck warm, thick socks with knee high ugg boots and the heating on, although the heating is on just to take the chill off as it so expensive. You can sometimes find me doing star jumps to get the circulation going to feel warm 😂 oh and two hot water bottles in bed....what a catch I am x

Up the top of Australia it's never cold, although to the residents they would say that 20 deg was cold, down South where I live the temp can vary from 1deg to 45deg , pretty extreme. Kaila wears 3 merino jumpers, a hoodie, leggins and fleecy track pants, thick socks and uggies, when it gets colder she throws on an oodie over the top, she really feels the cold. xx@@talesfromcuckooland

Hi Gaynor, my old hens all laid the same colour egg so when they had stopped laying I never knew who was and wasn’t laying! Now I have each hen laying a different colour egg so know who is laying. It’s so lovely to have such a variety of colours isn’t it. Seeing you sort your seeds has reminded me to sow another lot of sweet peas, so I have a succession next year. I know you don’t like bright colours but they will look so pretty in vases dotted around the house next year. Great vlogs, thank you. Btw still working on my girlfriend cardigan and think of you and yours each time I knit on it.

Also when I’m doing late night shifts I wear trainer liners under my woolly socks . I unpacked all my thermals ready for my walkabout shifts brrrr I laughed when you said there’s Nancy. Hey Gayna, Im sorry to hear youre shivering away there....when it doesnt feel right theres no harm in getting it checked out. Body temperature is very complex in that it can change from so many sources in our body and is commonly linked to the endocrine system which is crazy complex. Im not a doctor but I have been seeing endocronologists for the past two years over a rather complicated illness. I have been amazed countless times at wild things they have tested for that google, nor my great wisdom, ever would have thought of. I do know that if it doesnt feel right, its not right, and you doctor would rather you inform them than remain silent. I went over 10 years without seeing a doctor because I dont like them, and Im still not a fan, just so you know what angle Im approaching this from. I do hope you start feeling better come what may, and I cant wait to see your hot water bottle cover, I need to cast on one too!

😂 Had to laugh at your dread of getting pregnant again. It happened to me at 42. There’s an age gap of 23 years between my first and last babies 😮 X

You’re cold because we’ve had unseasonably warm weather changing to cold in just two days. You haven’t had time to catch up. And you were painting without a coat on.

Gayna you are cold because the temperature has plummeted. Men never feel the cold so they won’t be as cold as you are.

Have your thyroid checked, and your heart. Have more tests on your heart.

Not long ago I had a full health check and I’m fighting fit 🤩 I haven’t been quite as cold this week. X

What about hormones, because I started freezing a year before my first hot flash. I was worried about your heart because your lips are going blue.

You are just so sweet. I think you’re probably spot on about hormones as I am at that stage of life. My lips have always gone blue when I’m cold, it’s not my heart as I have plenty of energy, I don’t get breathless or dizzy and I had lots of checks when I was having palpitations (I’ve developed an intolerance to caffeine) and apparently I have the stats of someone in their late teens….which makes sense as I still have teenage spots!!! Ha ha!

You might be cold because you’ve lost weight. It’s not uncommon.
