@@Twinklethefox9022 I legit _just_ saw that ad a few days ago, and wanted to report it. 💀 Too bad that I can’t report stuff in favor of Nintendo, or GameFreak, to take down the ad for copyright infringement…
Worth noting: These screenshots are not from the "game". They're screenshots from CozyLife Template on Unreal Engine. So this "game" stole from the template w/ screenshots available to all.
I've seen it heavily theorized that actually there is no game in the first place. These screenshots don't appear to be from a game that uses AI assets, they seem to just flat out be AI "screenshots." I highly doubt this will ever materialize into something that real people can really play, and if it somehow does, it will probably look very different from whatever we're shown here.
I wonder if all of the images are fake lol. There are a lot of things wrong with them, like the outline border on the logo randomly cutting off. It’s crazy if they didn’t even bother to make a logo for it haha
To me it's kinda a red flag that it's called something so generic. That combined with the use of AI really has me doubting whether this game will exist in any sort of form that resembles its "inspiration." It is funny between this and Palworld that people are getting comfortable cribbing recognisable Nintendo artstyles to make money. I definitely have mixed thoughts on that end but both of those series clearly need some extrinsic motivation to be better, so an obvious competitor with different features could be just that.
Even the name is sus. "Anime Life Sim"? What's so "anime" about it? It's like they knew they couldn't call it "Animal" anything because that would be too obvious, but they still wanted a name that would be alphabetically sorted to trick people who are searching for "Animal Crossing". Even though there's no way they're ever going to be on the same platform. So weird.
Literally no one asked for AI generated animal crossing knock off 😭 I’m so sick of AI use in video games. I wonder if their AI was trained on ACNH assets? Nintendo ninjas are gonna be eating well 👀
I feel like they just imported ACNH assets into blender or whatever engine they are using and just throw in some altered asset (or already available modded assets) in there so it's not completely the same. I remember there was crowdfunding sims clone a few years back get exposed to just be a blender scene with stock asset, couldn't remember the name thou
I've been waiting for a game that does the 'make your own store' thing right. Back in the Ultima Online days (yes im old) the crafting and storefront mechanics were one of my favorite parts. Hopefully the next Animal Crossing has something similar for selling to other players even if you are offline.
If it does come out, I would want Nintendo to say something, this just isn't right with them taking Nintendo's hard work😅this is just asking for it but hopefully the next animal crossing is better like villager dialog etc😊this is just astounding
AI genned images, near blatant riffs to AC in art style and what looks like near same gemplay style as well. This is like Palworld but far more shameless.
Nintendo needs to release their next game lickety-split, or we might get a new Space Race, but instead of the United States racing against the Soviet Union it would be between Animal Crossing and Anime Life Sim
If you browse the upcoming section of the PlayStation store often, you’ll know there’s a ton of stuff like this on there already. Whether it’s full of AI art or just a lazy copy of some other popular game, they all say they’ll release in a couple years. They have no trailers and usually no gameplay screenshots and if there are they look fake. I’d love to see a deep dive into why there are so many cases like this on the PlayStation store.
I always wondered about a future game like animal crossing, but the characters have ai imbued to improve conversations. Like u start talking to someone and this conversation could randomly continue another time you meet him.
Apparently this game and all the screen shoots are a 1:1 copy of some sorta asset pack 😅 I don’t know what if any original work they put into this or just took an asset pack and said it’s a game
I'm not sure if anyone else in this comment section said this in the comment chain but "Good vibes gaming" dug a bit more into this and it turns out that the pictures from 4:29 and the others exactly like that are stolen from someone who basically made game models that could be sold and used. The others are ai generated.
Tbh I think people should be able to create their own animal crossing life sim style game, its a lucrative market and having competition would incentivise nintendo to focus more on animal crossing This, however, just looks AI generated and I doubt anything will come of it
Not if it never releases and gains no traction. They didn’t even really bother PalWorld until their Sony deal. If just the usual forgettable game slop it will likely disappear before an expensive Nintendo lawyer has to bother.
I'm kinda disappointed they didn't actually made an ANIME Life game but just with the animal crossing aesthetic. I want anime boys and Yuri characters it would have been super fun to try and socialize with character types like that
It would be great to have actual competitors for Animal Crossing's niche but noooot this. There's a reason Nintendo is suing Palworld and not any of the other monster collector games on the market. Stuff like Cassette Beasts have actual work put into them and things that set them apart from the series they're inspired by.
I'm confused about the name because this isn't even close to anime style? The only thing I can think is that anime sounds kind of like animal, but they changed it in an attempt to...not attract Nintendo's attention? IDK. I feel like a game called Anime Life Sim would involve having a hot anime wife or something
I'm a long time AC fan, and I'm honesty interested in this game. The fact that new horizons got abandoned so early by Nintendo made me so sad as they could have done a lot more. So maybe having competition might make them work a little harder next time. But all in all, looking past the possible use of AI, this game does look cute and something I'd play if it gets the love put into it.
I wouldn't say i particularly care about the _oh noooo animal crossing being ripped offfff_ 'cause ngl i have played acnh for a long time and some point just stopped, it got stale af so I'm not bothered to defend it But as many people mention, this isn't gonna be a game, there was never a game here Or it could be like the fps cat one that appeared on the game awards, clearly AI but if it does release it's literally just a tool to mine NFT in the back However if say this was an attempt at prodding Nintendo into considering the further development of a better animal crossing game in the future, i might just be for it lololol
Have you played Dinkum. Australian game, has Animal Crossing inspired vibe to it but is its own thing. I would say go-go town and even cozy caravan also filled an Animal crossing but different vibe for me.
I don’t think it’s going to be a real game at all. It’s AI slop, I wouldn’t be surprised if they will try to run a kickstarter or something with all these AI images and try to scam as many people out of money as possible before disappearing
Actually, Palworld completely copied the gameplay from its real "inspiration." Palworld is a copy of ARK: Survival Evolved with pokemon instead of dinosaurs.

Not me being genuinely interested a little and then realizing they're using AI lmao. I have a personal rule of never supporting anything with genai if I can help it. But honestly this makes me wonder if the game is even real? Like if they say it's gonna come out in 2026, and it's on a similar scale as say New Horizons, then all of the models, visuals, and logo should at least be in the final stages, no? I'm not a game dev, so take it with a grain of salt, of course.
I honestly believe it’s all AI generated there’s really no hard work behind this. If it is real AC fans should not support this, it’s just copying from the original source.
