Depending on your perspective, Sable can either be the big city columnist from a lifetime movie that needs to relearn the simple life through the arms of a rugged everyman, OR, a painfully realistic depiction of making friends as an adult with someone you don't directly work with, and only by proxy of you both having opposite work schedules, which means you actually can't really hangout but their work is public facing so you can pop in and talk to them and GODDAMN do they appreciate you coming in, but they also kinda resent that you must have more free time than them... and yes, both of those scenarios still play out like a Visual Novel but THATS BESIDE THE POINT!

I basically was like well dude has been through it (formerly brother's cat, mom wasn't always nice to him, he was left behind and homeless with me) and that it wouldn't be fair to do that to him. He needed and trusted me, and I never could convince myself he'd be better off without me. Now there are other cats, but I wouldn't have been here to be there for them if it wasn't for him. Dude was my buddy and we got each other. Fun fact about Bob: He worked through anxiety about other cats and ended up being super close to the rescue baby that I ended up having to bottle feed. Great influence.

While he is a struggling shop owner taking care of his family. He even upgrades your house, and trusts you to pay him afterwards. You don't even have to pay him, he doesn't do anything about it, but if you do he upgrades your house again until you're happy. There's no punishment, only reward. Even with his shop, he uses the money you give him in buying stuff, not on luxury yachts, but on upgrading his shop to give you a better experience. Also, when it comes to working for him, you don't even have to write a CV or anything. Bro just hires you on the spot. And only wants you to do easy stuff for a couple minutes.
