A tribute to Daniel Craig - no other actor has committed to the role as much as Craig has over the past 15 years. He succeeded in making his portrayal of James Bond truly his own. A legacy that will last forever on screen. We thank you. Daniel. You're the GOAT
Easily the best Bond as he 'humanised' the character - we've seen at times, an emotional vulnerability to Bond in Daniel's films that in my opinion, his predecessors wouldn't have managed to pull off in the role. Only Connery can lay any claim to being in the same class as an actor. Barbara Brocolli deserves huge respect for having the vision to see what he could bring to the role. Her husband would have been very proud.

While the final Bond movie with Daniel was imo, not the greatest; I do think he'll stand the test of time and go down as one of the best Bonds. I know the classics are better to some, but I just think Craig did Bond such justice man. He encorporated the badassery that is Bond with the charm, witty womanising personality so damn well. He also did the flaws better than most, adding in the fact that Bond had to battle through alcoholism and I suppose a form of depression after Vespa died. 10/10 Bond and will always be the new standard for me. Just picking up on Graham's "village in Timbuktu" comment. No disrespect to Graham, it is a common misconception in Western popular culture that Timbuktu is a mythical/remote/rural region in Africa. Timbuktu is actually a sizeable city in what is now Mali. It has existed since at least the middle ages, had reached a population of over 50,000 by the 1500's (comparable to population of London at that time), has been a centre of trade and learning for centuries, with a university established around its famous mosques, and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. So whilst it is certainly very remote for people outside Saharan Africa (including me), which has no doubt contributed to its mythical reputation, it has along history as an important and distinguished urban centre of religion, learning and commerce.
I still dont understand , like Craig himself , why Pierce Brosnan was overlooked and could have been Bond to this day . Good for him to point out the racist implications of the statement that people in remote locations don't have televisions. Old Europeans, especially Brits, like Graham have this residual, racist image of Africa (or "Timbuktu," as they like to reduce an entire continent) from the selective footage of war-torn images they saw on 1980s TV like Live Aid.
To be fair, in many rural places around the world, including some places in Africa, it's true that their infrastructure is poor enough that they can't get proper reception. In any case, I don't quite understand how not having an up-to-date geopolitical understanding is necessarily racist, but ok.
