Hello YoreHistory it's nice to see a video from you again. And it's always good to try something new.
@@brokenbridge6316 Yes, just needed a long break from the last few videos. They didn't do well and doing other things let's me get back to those topics.
@@YoreHistory---May your next few video's be successful.
Amazing video! Glad to see u back YH!
Well done. I appreciate so much that you actually narrate your videos instead of using an A.I voice. All those lives in such a relatively short period of time. Puts things into perspective for sure.
It's so rare to see the battle of lugdunum mentionned ! Welldone for that bloody summary anyway.
Love your videos and narration. Keep em coming! 👊🏼
Marius : It's over Germans, I have the high ground
Germans : You underestimate our power
Marius : Don't try it
So Marius has the high ground....
Hey, its me again/ christoph from Germany loving history and your channel. Thumbs up and sub. Danke for the upload.
A Battle that took three years to complete. No wonder their were hundreds of thousands of casualties.
Thanks for the new vid, keep it up!
Always love a good history vid
Haha cheers Tex
Yeah. A new one.
Part 3 of the Roman Envoy to China please!
Yep next up release on this channel
@@YoreHistory Now that is awesome! Keep up the good work.
2:07 I think his name is pronounced Sao Sao
IT IS ABSOLUTELY. I WRITE IT SOW SOW FOR ENGLISH SPEAKERS. JUST WATCH MANDARIN LANGUAGE DRAMA AND YOU CAN HEAR THEM SAY HIS NAME CLEARLY. ALL C'S ARE SOFT C'S. Q MAKES THE CH SOUND LIKE QIN = CHIN. CAO CAO = SAO SAO. SUN QUAN = SUN CHUAN. BUT CH IS STILL CH SOUND. THE TRANSLATIONS ARE A BITCH ESPECIALLY WITH THE OLD WADE-GILES SPELLINGS (CAO CAO = TS'AO TS'AO) COMPARED TO THE NEWER PINYIN SPELLING DIFFERENCE IS A REAL PAIN.
@captainmurphy4720 This is why I'm always hesitant to cover Chinese history. No matter how well I try to prepare, always criticism, LOL I can't win so likely won't cover too much more in future.
@@YoreHistory It's not your fault
Remembering and pronouncing Chinese names is just hard as fuck lol
@@YoreHistory YOU NAIL EVERY OTHER NAME. I REALLY DIDNT MEAN IT AS CRITISISM, JUST TO SUPPORT THE ORIGINAL COMMENTERS ASSERTATION.
@@captainmurphy4720 LOl all good I have just had a bad run of luck with Chinese content. Take a look at my part 1 of the Warring states period and read the comments...OOF.
Doubt the Greeks were only 40k at Plataea, Sparta basically took every single helot to the fight, combined with the other greek forces like the Athenians etc their numbers should be closer to the remaining Persian army.
