Glad to see your up n running again, friend. I hope you keep it going.
@@brokenbridge6316 Thanks me too. Just going to do the topics that I enjoy when I'm enjoying them to not burn out :)
@@YoreHistorythat is definitely what the way to do it. If you ever want any writing regarding that other empire anytime in classical period through present)
@@YoreHistory---Your welcome. Nice to hear from you. I really hope you go on with this a long time. Do what you love, my friend.
I enjoyed quite a lot for sure !
I hit the like button faster than ever.
I knew your work, and i think this video shows a very nice evolution.
My english is a little poor, but u'll understand : texts, narration and images, or should i say pictures... Anyway, everything looks amazing, beautiful, captivating, extremely nice !
Thanks a lot
Although I am subscribed, your most recent videos never showed up in my feed/etc. Weird. The good side is, I got more videos to binge!
I'm always so happy to see these new history videos. They deserve way more audience, well done.
Thanks for watching Sabastien :) Appreciated!
HELL YEAH! I’m so pumped you’re back. The line about silk creeping into MAurelliua thoughts in meditation was 👌
Was waiting to see if anyone would catch that reference :)
@@YoreHistory in terms of the writing I thought it was your best. You did a fantastic job of betraying nothing to your audience. Super clever in the tie back to silk. Kind of subverted the crescendo. 10/10
This is exactly what I was hoping for! Welcome back, love your videos!
I really enjoyed this first episode. Well done!
Road Trip! Oh man, it's great seeing new content from you. There is a lot of history channels on UA-cam, but no one does it like you. Your 2nd Person story line is fascinating as it is unique. Bravo!
SOOOO good! I can't wait to see Part 2!
It will be within the next few weeks :) Cheers.
"Yore" channel is criminally under-subbed. This should be a 1M+ sub channel, honestly! Can't wait for more videos. Keep up the excellent, excellent work!
I see what you did there :) and thx!!
Sorry a bit late to the show. Just wanted to say that it is great to see this channel alive again. Amazing content.
Thanks :) Glad to be back.
Just found this new video, thanks for coming back man
Thanks for coming back to check after my long absence 😉
Awesome video!!!
This is a strange format for history. It creates a fictional narrative based partially on facts, but the fiction and the history is weaved so tightly together that it's hard to know which is which. This channel is probably best consumed as historical fiction.
I market it as historical fiction. There is some speculation but I try to ensure that all major characters/events etc are historically accurate. So you can rest assured the major events are historically accurate and event happen in a chronologically accurate way. My attempt to bring some life to history. I do have non 2nd person content on the channel as well...ie regular old historical documentary narrations :)
Another great video as always!
I love these types of videos so much makes me feel better when I’m withdrawing bad
As a fellow withdrawal person can sympathize...it sucks
These videos are brilliant
Great video.
Yeah, Yore! :)
Thanks Christoph :)
This is amazing ❤
When is part 2 dropping?
Cool!
This is going to be an awesome series!
Love your videos
Cheers Andrew, thanks mate!
YEAH BOI!
This is a fresh approach and I really like it. Rather than a lowly P.O.V. witness to history, here we have an elite witness and plenty of family drama to go with it. Envoy missions can make for wonderful stories. A great example is the 10th century (AD) Mission to the Volga by Ahmed ibn Fadlan - an Arab diplomat's account of his harrowing mission to Norse realms. This inspired Michael Crichton's 1976 novel Eaters of the Dead which threw in the Beowulf story which, in turn, became the film The 13th Warrior.
Hello friend. Saw your comments re: Roman envoy vid, so giving it a run. I'm sure I'll enjoy. Wondering if you might consider turning your skills towards a history of Arab Al Andalus; the Iberian peninsula fr 711 to 1492. Love your content. Thank you and be well:)
Thanks for the comment :) This series will have a lot of eastern history. As for Arab history yes its on my list. I want to do more like this but dealing with middle eastern history. Id like to cover the arab invasion of the Sassanian empire first to finish that and then one idea I had was to do a story dealing with the two families...one Arab (Moor) and one Spanish that covers the invasion and subsequent re-invasion of Spain but dealing with both sides.
This will be a great story!
Great video!
Thanks for watching!
Man I can’t wait for the next episodes this is a great story
I lost all my files in a hard drive crash including my maps but will work hard to get things back up to speed :(
@@YoreHistory that sucks, take your time good production doesn’t come without it’s setbacks
I would love to have this one but only in 20 bce or a video about the silk road in buyid times. But awsome video. Thank you
I try to make these as historically accurate as possible and this was the time for now that made the most sense for records of an actual envoy from the far west. However, I may do something involving Buyid times separately perhaps something focusing on economics etc as like you I enjoy that period as well.
@@YoreHistory thanks
Why isn't this channel much bigger?!
Glad you enjoyed and channel will get there. Thanks for watching!
Not sure if you knew but the Roman Legionary is the prequel to this one.
When is part 2 coming out? We need more Roman stories 😊😢
After my next two videos :) lost a lot of progress in hard drive crash but working hard to restore them!
@@YoreHistory I am sure Marcus Aurelius Antoninus Augustus will not be pleased to hear of such delays in YORE trip :)
@@obiwankenobi07 LOL...indeed. I will hurry post haste...assuredly. :)
Wheres episode 2 my brother???
I provide updates in my community tab and mentioned this video. When I had a hard drive crash a few months back I lost the assets to this video so have to recreate them. It's coming after the next video! :)
Please don't tell his brother about the uncia of cannabion in his servus! ;)
LOL
Si non e vero e bene trovatto indeed.
How real is this story? Did Rome actually tried to establish contact with China?
Yes they did in 166. While your character is fictional the envoy was sent and took the sea route.
@@YoreHistory - Makes sense. I was not aware of it however. I was aware of a Chinese explorer who was deceived by the Persians at Mesopotamia and never made it to the Roman Empire, just a few hundred miles from where he was.
@@LuisAldamiz Yes it's believed he was told he was stil 2 years off by the Parthians so he turned back. Here is a link www.silkroadfoundation.org/artl/romanenvoy.shtml#:~:text=The%20first%20direct%20contact%20between,Gulf%20and%20successfully%20arrived%20China.
Where's part two?
It's coming! within the next 3 video releases.
Also Vicus to add...it will wrap the story up so you won't have to wait for a part 3. I will make it long like the Viking finale rather than in segments. I plan on releasing ALL upcoming Yore History as X as complete installments even if they take me a bit longer.
@@YoreHistory I do this to all my channels (~250 subs), so many part ones but never a up lol
@@YoreHistory haven't even got to that point, just found your channel today lol
Kinda creepy intro
Lol
It wasn't handed to him.
Nobody's future is handed to them.
That's just a convenient fiction normaltrash tell each other to feel good about the abilities they got handed to them by nature.
