The extra loop at the top of the shoulder straps are made so you can adjust how wide the shoulder straps sit on your shoulders. To help accommodate for different body shapes and sizes :).
I have the previous version in Black/Black/Enigma Stone. I prefer the design of the previous backpack, although the “insulated hydration pocket” is a cool addition. It would be interesting to know how comfortable the straps are after prolonged use. Thank you for this in-depth review.
@@user-ig7mi2rn7l I have the previous version w/ the air straps and I haven't had my straps yellow yet? I've had it for a year and used it on 6 trips so far (2 int'l ones and 4 domestic) for 2+ weeks at a time, and no yellowing has happened yet.
I disagree, looks so tacky and childish in my opinion. Like those cringe AIR shoes with big see through heel part :) It is cool when you are a teenager, I appreciate they made it more mature and clean
If you guys at Nike are listen you guys really fucked it up for all the lovers of the og utility series i love my old series but it's seriously in a bad state hence I really need a new one . Please bring back the good old stuff please
Interesting review. I've owned dozens of backpacks, including dozens of Nike backpacks. I own the first generation Utility Elite, Speed and Power. I certainly WOULDN'T buy this one for the following reasons: First and foremost, the base is made of a cheap thin plastic material, like the predecessor, which I've experienced this with. That wears through VERY easily. I couldn't believe it at 16:00 when the reviewer said "as usual it's thick and durable, holds up for years".😂😂😂 In addition, the cost in the UK is £99.99 and it's EXCLUDED from all offers and promotions. The previous model was £79.99 and until very recently, qualified for the 25% off that Nike regularly issued, making it under £60. That's a huge markup of £40 for a backpack with very few improvements. In fact, having the larger pockets at the top is illogical, as they tend to hold the heavier things, obviously. 😳🙄 At the end of the day though, as a backpack fan, I'd have bought it if they had corrected the issue with the base. The issue with Nike, which is causing them to lose a fortune, is that they spend millions on elite athletes like Kipchoge, while the quality for the masses goes down and the prices go up, as seen here. Such a shame! Is this guy paid by Nike or given free products?!

The new one is more slick! Great Video. Thanks!
Thanx 😃
Great review! I like how you compared it to the older version.
Very nice video and comparison. Which one do you recommend, an old or new one?
Very helpful video!! 🙏
Can I use it at school and for traveling? 😅
Yes and yes 😅
keep going , i luv you bro❤
:)
What about the new Nike utility power bag ? Can you review that ? Thanks
Yeah i guess so 🙂
I think the previous version bag with transparent air shoulder strap was much better
That was the feature I hated the most ! I felt like it was going to yellow and looked to kid ish ! But to each their own
@@aceboogie50 How long does it take going yellow?

And the thing is once it’s older, the air shoulder straps tend to be brittle and pop

Which backpack do you prefer, the first version or this one?
I have the same question lolll
I prefer the first tbh
They ruined the utility line. The older version (backpack and duffel) look waaaaaaay better. Geez
Agree And It Looks Like It Holds More Too 😕
The only thing that's better with the new version is it doesnt have that air bubble that will pop
