So i'd like to say I've been using this recipe to sell caramel apples at the farmers market. I followed the recipe in the video except I did not use the butter vanilla and the apples come out shiny, smooth, soft and chewy. Lets just say I have repeat customers! Thanks for the video!
hello i really love your video!! if you happen to know i wanted to ask how would i package the caramel apples because i want to make a couple for a family gathering. i bought some treat bags for them but i have a fear of them melting and sticking to the bags. do you have any tips or suggestions to avoid this? also great video once again!
I LOVE your videos!! My question is does your caramel harden enough to put them In cellophane bags to sell and display at markets? I tried it with a different recipe and I couldn’t get them in bags had caramel everywhere. I will try your recipe next time for sure
Thank you so much. My caramel is firm enough to stick to the apples and go inside a cellophane bag, but I wouldn't put caramel apples in cellophane bags because if it gets too warm outside or inside an event, the caramel is going to stick to the bag. I ALWAYS suggest CARAMEL apples be placed inside these candy apple boxes instead of cellophane bags. I usually use these candy apple boxes for my caramel apples here. I hope this helps you: amzn.to/4fztnDH amzn.to/4fqpSjj amzn.to/4huwYEJ amzn.to/3YqtAlm
Hello, I recently found your page and starting to do treats again. Its been years. I wanted to know for the caramel apples. Can you replace the syrup for the powdered one you used for the red candy apples. Im trying to see if i should do Caramel apples for a event. Do you think its possible to make them two days before the event for caramel?
You're not the first one to ask about dry powdered corn syrup for caramel apples. I haven't tried that yet, but eventually I will...lol. I can't give you advice on it right now, but I will definitely see how it works for caramel. Go ahead and do the liquid for your caramel because they are so good. Yes you can make these 2 days in advance. Just place them in the refrigerator. Take them out about 30 minutes to an hours so they can get back good and soft. Put them in candy apple boxes and not the bags so the caramel doesn't stick to the bags. I hope this helps you.💕
Girl I always come back to watch this video when I make my apples. I love listening to you in the background as I’m making them. It’s like you’re with me in my kitchen 🍏♥️🍏
@@DIYQUEENDIVA the video was quite entertaining this morning. Especially when it got "these nuts" added to the fold. I said Lawd today she's definitely enjoying making this video 💕🥰

I want to sell caramel apples at the farmers market, with markets being on Fridays. Our house is typically at 73 degrees and I dont have space in the fridge for a couple dozen apples. Do you think I could get away with keeping them out during the entire process? When should I start cleaning them then dip them? Im worried about spoilage and im also worried about overloading myself the day of the market.
Make them 2 days in advance since you can’t put anything in your refrigerator, BUT you need to test 3-4 apples right now to see how they hold up inside your house before making a lot of apples.💕
First I LOVE all your videos!! I have a question tho does your caramel harden some so it can be packaged in a cellophane bag? I did try a different recipe and I can’t put the caramel apples in a cellophane bag because it’s so soft I get caramel everywhere even after being put in the fridge. But this time I will use your recipe. I just need to know if it will harden enough to package that way
@@robertaf709 I package mine in a cellophane bag. As long as you make sure to bring it up to the right temperature (235, I think?) and you let them set for at least an hour, they go into the bags AND come out just fine. A few notes: I cooked them a little higher one time to see how they came out. I believe a degree or 2 over 240. They came out fine but they were tackier and stuck to the inside of the bag more when trying to get them in there. Second, while they do look ok when they first go in the bags, after being moved around a few times, placed where I want them, etc. The bag creates crinkles in the caramel. I sell at the farmers market for $5 each because they do not look pristine in the bags but I still get compliments of how good they look. The biggest issue I had was the outside heat. The caramel cannot handle it being hotter than 80 degrees outside, I learned that the hard way. All that being said, DIYQUEENDIVAs recipe works great and tastes great! They come out looking beautiful and if you want to keep a nice pristine look to them, I would also recommend using the boxes as she said. The bags will work but at the cost of appearance.
Do you think that I could do something like that I’m not as good as you and it looks so good. Our church is trying to raise money and I thought that would be a good idea but I’d like to try it first before I bring it to our church. What are the dues and downs besides watching you do a perfect job. Thank you so much for sharing. God bless and please have a amazing day.
Of course! You got this. The 3 main important things to remember is having a candy thermometer letting your caramel only reach in between 230-235. Second, to continuously stir your caramel while it’s cooking to prevent it from burning. Third, make sure you strip down the wax off your apples by using my candy apple cleaning method. I hope this helps you.💕

I'm happy to hear your caramel apples are a hit! You don't have to use butter vanilla, because regular vanilla will work as well.

Ms. Apple Diva I have a question? Can I use the left over caramel to cover apples the next day?
Yes.💕
Do I have to add anything to it or just hear it up
Sometimes I add a little butter or regular milk, but just a little not too much. Just like when you warm up something on the stove.💕

Good morning, have you ever used the dry corn syrup to make your caramel?
Not yet! Several people asked me the same thing. I guess I’ll have to make them to see the final results.💕
Can you make a video of how you make your turtle with your leftover caramel and pecans?
Sure. I already have a video here- ua-cam.com/video/k03eiL5ilKo/v-deo.htmlsi=E41y3vo3ys5PkYmm and I hope this helps you.💕
