The Fractal FM3 can't do dual amps (i.e. two amps at a time) - and I found that when you pan cabs, you don't necessarily get much of a wider stereo field. But I found this neat trick in the Cab block which totally does that sort of dual amp stereo vibe!

The most overhyped company on Earth. The only tones they can do are these clean / dirty / ambient tones. Absolute garbage for chunk and rock, and any effects this can do can be done better by other companies. Overpriced garbage.

That's a great tone. I'm myself going through some serious choices at the moment. I have Kemper, Fractal FM9 and Quad Cortex in front of me. I can keep only one. Kemper is what I used for years. FM9 and QC can be still returned. I can already tell that Kemper will be sold. It's very good and for the current 'used' prices it's awesome but it is not as good as the other two in my opinion. FM9 brings a whole lot of possibilities. It's seriously endless. It sounds great too. It is quite big though and using it without editor is not great. Now Quad Cortex. To my surprise I like the tones I am getting out of it more than from the other two. It feels/sounds more amp-like in my opinion. Even ampsims are very good but the captures take it to the next level. It's much easier to use and get a great tone quickly. Yes, it doesn't have as many effects or as good effects as FM9. For some people it is a deciding factor. I like to keep things simple so what is in QC is enough for me. The basic (amp) tone and feel is what is the most important to me. QC takes less space on my desk too which is a bonus. I thought I'd be missing a desktop editor but the touch interface is great. The lack of editor doesn't bother me too much. I wish it had SPDIF though. FM9 might be able to get very close with the tones if I would dig into all the settings as there are a ton of them but I can't be bothered to check all of that stuff. I am most likely going to keep QC but FM9 is still in my thoughts.
The FM9 will get way more usable updates than the Quad. Fractal are always adding cool stuff to the AXFXIII which cascades down to the rest of the line in due course.
I don't think the Quad has many updates, if any, and certainly not to the same level

Great video! All these FM3 videos make me want to trade in my GT-1k for an FM3. Although, I’ve also been thinking about trading in the GT-1k for the CORE version because I also just bought a J Rockett The Dude because of your demos of them, and the GT-1k takes up my whole board. 🙃
Honestly I would hold out for FM9 or get axe FX 2. I own the fm3 and have played with the axe 2 and have to say, it's not really worth it unless you just have to have the tiny sized module and only need 3 foot switches. It just isn't worth the price point with the lack of processing power you get.

Is this thing light years ahead of the HX Stomp? Being able to move the IR files like that is wild.
There are things you can tweak for sure that you can't do in the Helix ecosystem!
I finally got my fractal FM9 invite to buy but our $CDN tanked and with 15% sales tax it comes out to $2684! Ok still cheaper than buying a bunch of amps and effects pedals but unfortunately for now I have to pass until our dollar gets stronger!
Could always get a 2nd hand AXFXIII or an FM3
