Soooo many ways to get where you need to be with Fractal gear; joyful & intimidating at the same time. Great vid, thank you.
Thanks Leon, your tutorials are really good. Without them I would be completely lost with my FM3!
Glad to help!
The gate after the amp with input 1 setting is such a great tip. Many thanks Leon!
Can you explain me please this gate tip? why not place it after input 1 when i use gate only for my di signal? what is the difference? thanks
You bet!
"Loud is more good!" Haha! Thanks as always for your cool tips.
Always!
Fantastic stuff Leon. Thanks for all your great content.
Great tips, especially setting a dedicated control switch view...just got my external dual switch to change views on hold (again after watching one of your videos)...thanks Leon!
Wow, i was searching about glitch effects on the fm3, but this is really great too. Thank you so much!
Awesome tips!!! Thanx.
Still paying dividends today! Thanks Leon!! : )
Thanks for the flanger tip. I always learn something new while watching your videos/tone tips. Many thanks!
Glad to hear it!
Great stuff man!!!
Hi Leon, thankyou so much for your videos. Can you please make a video showing how to use setlists in FM3?
Absolute genius!
The Einstein of Fractal Audio!
amazing thank you for the tips! you are correct... LOUD IS MOAR GOOD
Been wondering how to boost my lead scene since i got the unit...Thanks man!
thanks for this Leon. I've just got the FC-6 to go with the FM-3, setting up a control switch on the FM3 to enable the flanger works fine, but even though it's visible on the FC-6 the momentary function only seems to work on the FM3's button. Any ideas how I can make the same Control Switch be triggered from either buttons ? Thanks
Awesome vid Leon! Would you recommend using a filter block before the amp to try to compensate for different pickups, or some other method? I've got Dimarzio PAF 7's in one guitar, which are waaay lower output than the active pickups in my other 7 string, I was planning on just using a filter to try and normalize things with boost + EQ but I'm very curious for your thoughts
That can work, try looking up your pickups resonant peaks and using a corrective filter
Hi leon i download your latest cab Tv mix live from axechange. My question is should i still dialling the cab preamp low cut to 6500 and hi cut to 80000 or just stay at 20 and 10000? The description say we don't need to change the lowcut and hi cut because it's been setup already. But did the cab preamp section had been setup too? Thanks
Would using the filter block in front of the amp with a bump in a certain frequencies be equivalent to input EQ in amp block?
Correct! It's a little more flexible and easier to turn on/off
I'm trying to figure out if it's possible to create an effects loop for just a single block. Like say I have a reverb in the effects chain and I would like to apply a Chorus block to it, but in a way that it would only affect the reverb itself and not the dry sound. Is this possible with the Fm3?
Yes, create a parallel chain and run the reverb 100% wet into a chorus.
@@G66eu wow I was really overthinking this! So easy after all. Thank you!
Can someone please explain why the gate is after the amp and the side chain thing again? Is this like having a gate in the loop?
Correct
Leon is it just me or I think your VH flanger trick is a bit wrong because on Unchained you can hear the flanger alternate from sweeping down and next time sweeping up, the way you have it there is always sweeping the same way.
