You’ve really gotta hand it to rockstar for this. From the music and the landscapes, you have no other choice but to feel free and peaceful. They made Red Dead feel like you were in 1899. The landscapes are realistic, the music is peaceful and relaxing, and sometimes I just ride around to feel peaceful.
The only thing I didn't like about RDR2 is the fact its the year 1899. I wished they had the game set during the 1870s-1880s during the peak of the wild west.
This scene reminds me of when of when I first played the game. Those early days of Chapter 2 where I'd have Arthur get up at the crack of dawn and head down to the river bed below camp to do some early morning hunting and fishing - then just slowly trotting along the river with my horse, wading through the shallow water as the sun rises taking everything in. The therapeutic nature of RDR2 is one of my favourite things about it - Rockstar truly delivered a modern day masterpiece with this.
The first time when leaving Snowy Colter and traveling through the plains gave me goosebumps and same feeling that i get while going for Vacation in a new place , i cant describe the joy i felt inside like it was real life journey
Riding into Valentine for the first time will always be special to me. It’s when I really realized I had something special on my hands. It almost had to end like that for Arthur, but man did you feel free in chapter 2. It is TRULY amazing that a game can make you feel like you’ve lived a life as someone else. This game isn’t an escape from reality as much as it feels like one. Rockstar, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. Without a thought when someone asks me for a game recommendation, no matter what I know they play or will find fun, this is always what I’ll tell them. I genuinely think that everyone who can, needs to play this game
Like the blackwater money, like you and your social calls and getting involved in things that don’t involve you to make some money, like your plan to betray the gang killing people like Hosea (your father like figure) Molly (your on again off again girlfriend) Kieran, Lenny, miss Grimshaw and I and let’s not forget your son/your best friend Arthur who has been trying to get your head straight the moment you started acting like a fuckin’ lunatic just so you, Micah, bill and Javier can all go harvest fuckin’ mango’s in fuckin’ Tahiti while the women and children suffer and good people like Arthur, John, Sadie and Charles have to take care of those people. Honestly Red dead redemption 2 is the best piece of Fiction I've had the pleasure of experiencing I can't think of anything else that has made me so heartbroken as Arthurs death. Only game I can say is a total 11/10
Is it just me, or does the music change when you are playing as John? I noticed a lot more of harmonicas (John's theme style) and fading or reversed melodies...
When is this music played when you're John? As far as I can recall, this is the music playing during the mission Eastward Bound when the gang is moving from Colter to Horseshoe Overlook.
fontar yes the music does change, I believe rockstar did that on purpose, sets a new tone for the new character, so it feels like your playing sort of part 2 of the game, utilizing every sense and creating a different feeling when playing the game is one of the true arts of video games
I restarted it recently, never fails to impress me, unbelieveable. Masterpiece on another level. Everytime I'm in-between missions, go hunting or fishing, or round up the guys and play poker. I suck at it, but it just makes it all the more special. Gotta do some Hunting and fishing next time, gove some to the gang, and sell the rest.
Doing my full second playthrough. Hosea and Lenny are next to die. 😢😢 Every death on this game, you feel in your soul. How did they make this masterpiece? I don’t wanna see Arthur get sick again. 😢😢😢😢
William Rowe you know, I ended up at that part of the game right after Arthur got finished threatening and beating up the curator, for the Mayor. As I was doing that mission I was saying to myself “Arthur you bout to get what’s coming to you my friend 🤦🏾♂️”. Love how that played out for me. Arthur is our hero, but he isn’t exactly a good person.
I cant bring myself to finish this game because ik what the ending is and I am not gonna let that happen. Arthur already has tb for me but I decided im gonna restart the game I think.
I restarted RDR2 and have stayed on chapter 2 since; several times over too. Not just because of what happens to Arthur. I didn't like some of the writing and characters. I disliked Micah and Sadie in particular.
A magnificent view of God's creation A beautiful scenery for seeing the good in what is in front of you.... A place to take care of and to experience nature and to protect it from those who want to destroy it and turn it in to a city for the wealthy as long as I'm around here there will nothing but what you see here the river, the trees, the grasslands, the mountains, the wildlife that live and dwell here, you can visit here but when you leave make sure you leave the way it was when you got here.... you have a good night and God Bless.
