God I love it. The drivers should be able to say whatever they want while in the car. They’re the ones risking their lives. Outside of the car you can say not to swear but inside, it’s your choice to listen in on their radio.

I can imagine how much Max was angry at the decision of him not being vocal in the press.. it’s a dynamic and very competitive sport.. every race there is win n defeat so drivers get very vocal about their emotions and it’s not to hurt someone but just to let out the immediate frustration… it was difficult for max to keep silent on his answers .. they are not children..

I stand with Max. These are adults they have absolutely no obligation, regardless of sponsorship, to pander to children and sensitive adults. Its your responsibility to raise your kids. Sure, the drivers are role models and therefore have more impression than the usual, but they're also adults living their own lives, & the sport wasn't built upon catering to kids. Swear words are part of language & to prohibit them from using it is an oppression and infringement on their rights. That might be ok where ben sulayem is from, but to the parts of the world that value rights and freedoms, its not. I think its long overdue for the president to be changed, but he's probably in the position due to what ties he has with Saudi's and the way they throw their money around sportwashing and all.
i agree with you overall but the point is not true, they are role models and should behave. However, when you are in a car that goes more then 300 km/h you cannot control yourself so its to much to ask in my opinion
