Hi Don, a very good traditional country song. I think this came out in early 80's however, I didn't look it up so I could be off by 1, 2, or 10 yrs. Interestingly I had always considered this a song about aging, but this time it struck me as a veiled shot at the Nashville music industry that tends to put its aging stars out to pasture. Another more recent song about this is George Strait's "Kicked Out of Country". Would love to get your thoughts on it. Thanks for the request George and thanks for the reaction Don. Love hearing the legends, at any point in their career. I would love to hear more from country music's only true supergroup Alabama. "40 hour week" is probably the best anthem in country music that celebrates blue collar America and "Angels among us" is a beautiful uplifting song and video about the unsung heroes all around us. You would have to react to the official video though. Which shouldn't be a problem as I've seen it on other channels.
