The reason for this is actually pretty gruesome; Albrecht's "blue" skin, characteristic of the orokin elite class, was stripped off when he was exposed to the void. Loid basically "clothed" him in new skin, which had yet to turn blue by the time of the events described in this update. DE is really killing it with the little unspoken details🤙

StallordHD made an AMAZING video, basically explaining the entire lore behind this expansion and how it relates to earlier tidbits of lore and even duvirri. The man in the wall was stopped/delayed by the lotus at the end of the new war quest, and she is a large form of "power" for the tenno. Wally is DEFINITELY going after the lotus in the next update/expansion :(

On the 1999 segment of the quest, I looked at all the posters and _immediately_ saw all the Dark Sector and pre-2008 on them. I don't remember all of them clearly but I know there's one with Robet Mezner, and another with a 2004 Grineer marine. I love old Dark Sector/Warframe stuff, so seeing DE acknowledging them is absolutely fucking awesome.
This quest was full of "WTF" moments for me, from the scenery of the _massive_ void areas, to seeing the original Loid and the talking animals (RIP poor Minn), and even finding out that this Aiden Pierce looking mf was the father the Entrati family talked about the whole time Ngl, I was kinda expecting 45:13 to be some kind of Kaiju fight, got me all hyped up until the cheek rub 😅 Also _Man In The Wall:_ *YOU ARE LATE.* _Me, probably the very last person to play the update:_ Bruh, I've been busy with life, get off my back 😭

Thanks for uploading this. The update was such a god damn mess for me on release that it ended up being hard for me to follow what was going on when my graphics driver was crashing every other mission.
Something I love is how you can very easily tell which version of Albrecht we're looking at and listening to entirely by the way he says Tenno. Its like the Indifference has trouble getting that particular word out because it's never said it with enough practice before, so it draws out the n's, whereas Albrecht is Orokin. He knows who and what the Tenno are and how their name is pronounced.

After that we are left with uncertainty, some chance ever since then it was always Wally I suppose. But I'm not sure we know what his goals are so we have no idea why he created the Cavia and all and wants us to go back to 1999, either Albrecht or Wally. The only bit of further lore we have now are some Fragments about the Vessels, they are gigantified Warframes of sort to combat an "Adversary" I guess BIG Wally. You can see him as the roof of the skybox when you're in the "outside" areas.
It’s odd that albrect wanted to go back to 1999 first off any prince fan knows why that is a important year and he went all wall-e right a midnight on (I’m going to assume) new years after telling us that we were late as if to say that we were too late Another thing is the proto infested and Arthur being a excal was this before the hymocyte and the Helmyth the 1999 part raises a lot of questions like what and why , but also a bunch of obvious questions that we (at least me) never really asked or considered when was the orokin empire founded , what happened between now and then that lead to the technological advancement we see, if kuva is the main element needed for continuity who found it and figured out immortality , it was discovered prior to void travel so it must have happened well before albrect making void travel, due to the way he described it like he was describing tea or iron , my point is what happened in 1999 to make albrect abandon not only his twink but also his loving wife and family members and why is what happened so important that wall-e followed him to 1999 he’s not above trolling for the giggles but to have such a investment in it is odd for our indifferent friend

Well we were late or I guess In one timeline (Khra- to cosmic forms from tangent planes we end as we began) and thus whatever the heck was chasing Albrecht Entrati caught him corrupted and took control of him and now technically we are dealing with 2 void entities at the same time. Which is why he told us before it caught him go back in time be on time and help him after repairing and building the statues I think.
Absolutely. Wally seeks to understand our "plane of existence" That's why he's copying our operator, albrecht etc, i.e. people exposed to the void. So far loid has remained "untouched" by it, but he was absolutely present in the labs when albrecht was exposed to the void. Wally/the indifference are using the "strands of Khra" to basically ecroach upon our reality, and he's using anything and everyone to do so. Amazing work by DE
I think Wally is only taking the form of the operator to symbolize the deal they have, just like the Albrecht one is to symbolize him taking Wally's finger for the reliquary drive and it's many variants.
There’s a dialogue from robot Loid where he says he can induce Otak into a forced sleep. That’s how he’s able to do dealings with the Tenno separately from the rest of the Entrati without them finding out
When I heard Fibonacci and those others talking for the first time in my game, I started laughing wondering what DE had been smoking but that other cutscene with Wally and "Albrecht" was even more confusing, that is, I didn't understand if it was really albrecht or some copy of him, that if it was really him then why did he help us
I think this is also Eternalism. Albrecht we saw in the final cutscene was the one Arthur was too late to reach. And so Albrecht became corrupted. And we are gonna go back in time in order to reach Albrecht in time (sorry for tautology) so we could deal with Wally and Corrupted Albrecht.
@XurenChao that's absolutely correct. The Wallbrecht at the end of the cutscene sequence is already corrupted, and very likely the one we saw when we first transferred back to Arthur (Excal). Because when we went back, it was already 11:59 of 1999. We know this as Aoi mentioned that if it weren't for Albrecht she wouldn't be alone on New Years, the TV announcer (as we were fighting) asked if we were ready for the turn of the millennia, and just as Wallbrecht said, "You are late", you could hear the clock ticking down before cheering commences and the time changes to 12:00 (midnight).
Was thinking the same thing in my mind, but after some thought it... kinda makes sense. The Void is very susceptible to emotion, but that won't stop it forever...

I think this quest just wants to make us believe that there are multiple Wally. But it doesn't make sense to me. I think they want to tell us that Albrecht's Wally and Our Wally aren't the same entity. But they might be different entities as more detail in the story develops. However, I think they are only one Wally, or else Rell wouldn't be able to hold him for all the Tenno for so long. Unless DE decides to destroy the story again... Also, just a speculation, but why 1999? I have a hunch that Loid and Arthur are the same person. That is why 1999 is an important year Albrecht needs to go back and hide in them.
The Void is shaped by consciousness. It's like a mirror, only there's an intelligence on the other side using your reflection to interact with the "real" world. Loid mentions somewhere in the quest that events occured in 1999 that are relevant to the current day. I'd hazard a guess that it's probably the tipping point, the point in time where it'll be easiest to prevent whatever occurs that leads to future events, AKA "modern" Warframe.
If you pay attention to the calendars and clocks in the Arthur segment, you can notice that it's almost turning 2000, and when you're told "you are late" the clock turns to 12:00, this is symbolic in a way as there were many conspiracy theories of the end of the world happening in the year 2000. Also semi-related is the Y2K glitch related to how dates were stored, that also caused a lot of panic and conspiracy theories.
This quest kinda demystified the void for me 😭 i enjoyed it, but it made me less afraid of mitw... Thought the art direction was fire, i just thought that perhaps having less of mitw in the quest and building up to him still having some big key moments where he seems to watch us would've been more effective. That's just my opinion, but perhaps they'll prove me wrong later on For reference, i was kind of expecting a sacrifice type quest, where you don't have all of the puzzle's pieces and it builds up mystery and fear (atleast that's how i felt) until the very end of the quest, and Ballas's presence is very heavy though we don't see him

Did you not here what the Void stated? We made a deal with it, and we ran from the deal. So, they will target the Lotus, which was why we made the deal.
Man this quest was starting to get interesting and then it ended at what narratively felt like barely the halfway point. For being featured so prominently in the promo stuff arthur really was kind of nothing at all huh
It wasn't for nothing. The next expansion is going to be Warframe 1999, even in the tennocon demo it said "COMING 2024". Plus, if that wasn't enough of an indicator, after the quest there's random dialogue when being near Loid where he says that he's getting everything ready to get you back in time to 1999.

@@Vevvev8 Nice, I used Protea and ended up sweeping the enemies. The only mission I died on was the 3rd last mission, only because I got bodied and couldn't even move. But it was only once so no biggie.
I think the basic frames should br accessible at least. Arthur is very clearly Excal, but Aoi? I heard her using Mag's Magnetise (2nd ability) through the comms.
Call me cynical, but I don't buy Albrecht's "feelings" for Loid for a second. He's just gaslighting Loid, so he stays loyal and does whatever Albrecht needs him for.
I mean, you can certainly read it that way, but Loid also mentions something about the Man In The Wall having "stole the future from us." Given that they successfully time travelled, that might imply that Albrecht and Loid have seen the future, and that's what's pushed them to such desperate measures. Albrecht certainly didn't seem to *want* to leave Loid, but we'll only know that for sure when we meet the real him. If the real him still exists. To be fair to him and his family, they don't seem to be pretty typical for Orokin. Narrative wise, there's also little to indicate deceitfulness.
Wall-e ain’t happy about what we did saying that it’s not part of the deal we made on the zeriman so now we have not only his interest but also his ire the flower he has is probably a lotus seeing as that’s our only weakness is our attachment to space mom that’s bad also we’ve established with the appearance of walltrati that wall-e is a singular being but has multiple fragments or parts that act both individually and collectively also the albrect we hear sounds differently throughout the quest listen to the audio logs from the computer and compare them to the grimoire and his retelling of his first experience with wall-e he sounds off in the computer logs his tone and continence in the way he speaks sounds weird Feel free to pick at this comment and if you translate the void tongue spoken near the end of the quest being the question ask by the vessel it would be much appreciated
The Void can travel throughout time and timelines. There are many timelines in which we die, live, not exist or become an evil. The one you see of us is probably one that the Walle got control of. The Alberecht you see is a different Albe controlled by Walle, of a different timeline. Our Albe is in 1999, so we will go to him. The whole deal thing, we broke our deal. The whole lotus flower being crushed is a sign Walle is going to go after our Lotus, space mom, whom is a power house and probably keeping Walle from fully entering our realm.
Classic warframe story telling of dragging you by the balls though boring missions and then blue balling the actual intresting stuff for the next year and a half update. 👍
We won't get 1999 until AT LEAST AFTER Tennocon which is kinda ridiculous. I'm sure they'll have some filler updates at least but that's a long gap. I do have a prediction that perhaps there will be an operation that works towards repairing the "time machine" it whatever it is, and that will serve as a transition to 1999. Either that or I'm high on copium, probably that one.
You didn't find the lack of anything resembling a conclusion kind of annoying? It felt like a teaser event to make us hyped for something significant. The 1999 bit lasted for about 5 minutes. @@andrsl1

Well we were late or I guess In one timeline (Khra- to cosmic forms from tangent planes we end as we began) and thus whatever the heck was chasing Albrecht Entrati caught him corrupted and took control of him and now technically we are dealing with 2 void entities at the same time. Which is why he told us before it caught him go back in time be on time and help him after repairing and building the statues I think.

When I heard Fibonacci and those others talking for the first time in my game, I started laughing wondering what DE had been smoking but that other cutscene with Wally and "Albrecht" was even more confusing, that is, I didn't understand if it was really albrecht or some copy of him, that if it was really him then why did he help us
Albrecht is in the past, so the one here was just wally mimicking him
And when we first went to him... we were too late. So the story is definitely going to get weird.

I think this is also Eternalism. Albrecht we saw in the final cutscene was the one Arthur was too late to reach. And so Albrecht became corrupted.

@XurenChao that's absolutely correct. The Wallbrecht at the end of the cutscene sequence is already corrupted, and very likely the one we saw when we first transferred back to Arthur (Excal).
Because when we went back, it was already 11:59 of 1999. We know this as Aoi mentioned that if it weren't for Albrecht she wouldn't be alone on New Years, the TV announcer (as we were fighting) asked if we were ready for the turn of the millennia, and just as Wallbrecht said, "You are late", you could hear the clock ticking down before cheering commences and the time changes to 12:00 (midnight).

I think this quest just wants to make us believe that there are multiple Wally. But it doesn't make sense to me. I think they want to tell us that Albrecht's Wally and Our Wally aren't the same entity. But they might be different entities as more detail in the story develops. However, I think they are only one Wally, or else Rell wouldn't be able to hold him for all the Tenno for so long. Unless DE decides to destroy the story again...
Also, just a speculation, but why 1999? I have a hunch that Loid and Arthur are the same person. That is why 1999 is an important year Albrecht needs to go back and hide in them.

The Void is shaped by consciousness. It's like a mirror, only there's an intelligence on the other side using your reflection to interact with the "real" world. Loid mentions somewhere in the quest that events occured in 1999 that are relevant to the current day. I'd hazard a guess that it's probably the tipping point, the point in time where it'll be easiest to prevent whatever occurs that leads to future events, AKA "modern" Warframe.
If you pay attention to the calendars and clocks in the Arthur segment, you can notice that it's almost turning 2000, and when you're told "you are late" the clock turns to 12:00, this is symbolic in a way as there were many conspiracy theories of the end of the world happening in the year 2000. Also semi-related is the Y2K glitch related to how dates were stored, that also caused a lot of panic and conspiracy theories.

This quest kinda demystified the void for me 😭 i enjoyed it, but it made me less afraid of mitw... Thought the art direction was fire, i just thought that perhaps having less of mitw in the quest and building up to him still having some big key moments where he seems to watch us would've been more effective. That's just my opinion, but perhaps they'll prove me wrong later on
For reference, i was kind of expecting a sacrifice type quest, where you don't have all of the puzzle's pieces and it builds up mystery and fear (atleast that's how i felt) until the very end of the quest, and Ballas's presence is very heavy though we don't see him

It wasn't for nothing. The next expansion is going to be Warframe 1999, even in the tennocon demo it said "COMING 2024". Plus, if that wasn't enough of an indicator, after the quest there's random dialogue when being near Loid where he says that he's getting everything ready to get you back in time to 1999.

@@Vevvev8 Nice, I used Protea and ended up sweeping the enemies. The only mission I died on was the 3rd last mission, only because I got bodied and couldn't even move. But it was only once so no biggie.

I mean, you can certainly read it that way, but Loid also mentions something about the Man In The Wall having "stole the future from us." Given that they successfully time travelled, that might imply that Albrecht and Loid have seen the future, and that's what's pushed them to such desperate measures. Albrecht certainly didn't seem to *want* to leave Loid, but we'll only know that for sure when we meet the real him. If the real him still exists. To be fair to him and his family, they don't seem to be pretty typical for Orokin.
Narrative wise, there's also little to indicate deceitfulness.

The Void can travel throughout time and timelines. There are many timelines in which we die, live, not exist or become an evil. The one you see of us is probably one that the Walle got control of. The Alberecht you see is a different Albe controlled by Walle, of a different timeline. Our Albe is in 1999, so we will go to him.
The whole deal thing, we broke our deal. The whole lotus flower being crushed is a sign Walle is going to go after our Lotus, space mom, whom is a power house and probably keeping Walle from fully entering our realm.
