For everyone claiming that one goal was offsides: watch starting at 3:37. It's the Blues player who puts the puck in the zone. No offsides if a team brings the puck into their own zone. All six Bruins could have been camped in the zone and it still would not have been offsides.

@Original 6 Hockey Multiple Blues' players said after the Bruins' 4-for-4 PP that they need to stop taking penalties, which means the Bruins are in the head of St Louis. And that also means that almost certainly the Blues' players will be more cautious about head-hunting the Bruins...which will enable the faster-skating Bs to get the puck outta their zone and into the Blues end. St Louis played with all-out reckless abandon in game 2, but now they know they can't after being shell-shocked by the Bs' LETHAL PP.

But, two handed slashes at bruins players is ridiculous. Then them running over Rask every chance they get is kinda ridiculous.

When you play Jr Hockey defense in the pros this is usually the result. Offense for the Blues wasn't much better. Hero play showed by the selfishness of one of St Louis' first shots. Open player on Rask's left, player shoots into Rask's body. Goalie can't see shots when you're half hearted trying to block them.

That is the correct ruling and was explained during the live broadcast, If you carry/tip/shoot the puck back into you own zone, opposing players in your zone prior to doing so are NOT offside. Blues player was the last one who touched that puck before it crossed into his zone, negating what would otherwise be offside.

The Bruins skates didn't mattier once they determined the Blues player last touched the puck before it entered his own zone. The Bruins player needn't enter after the puck because of that.
It's one game and the Bruins played great. I still don't know how in 2019 that the refs can't get an offside call right with video confirmation.
Blues player touched the puck and pushed it past the blue line. So they ruled it on side in favor of the Bruins.

No goal was Binnington's fault. all deflections. and one goal was as far as I'm concerned offsides when players 2 skates were in before the puck. leading to bench minor and goal 4. So all these commenters in this thread immediately writing off St. Louis are not who you'd want on your team as quitters. St. Louis will comeback and tie series.
Dennis binnington was at fault for at least 3...goal number 2 he was beat CLEAN glove side, goal number three Kuraly had possession so it wasn’t offsides (which it was so incredibly close there no way it mattered either way) and beat binnington 5 hole (pretty soft goal tbh) and same with Krug goal.. just beat clean past his glove side.. there is no way you can say that’s not binningtons fault, simple deflections happen, great goal tenders still find a way (cough cough tuukka rask)

@@MasNosral Sam, if you see the whole onsides play develop, the Blues player was the one who touched the puck, bringing into his own zone, so the Bruins player doesn't need to come into the zone after. He can precede it. As far as the RULES are concerned, that was properly ruled ONSIDES. Unfortunately, this recap omitted the explanation that was given during the live broadcast and didn't show the Blues player clearly being the one who touched the puck last, before it crossed into his zone.
