Ardnamurchan has set a new standard in whisky transparency and customer advocacy. They are providing more useful information than one is likely to receive in a typical distillery tour.
Now if only the rest of the industry and especially the Scotch Whisky Association can evolve and follow their lead.

Thanks for sharing, Ben. Have had the joy of tasting several Ardnamurchan expressions. This one being second best, only beaten by an already sold out single cask release.

I don't see Ardnamurchan in my US market (Phoenix, AZ). I keep waiting to see it, but never do. Rest assured, as soon as I see it I'm buying it!

Oh man I went to this distillery recently. The tasting was of a distillery exclusive whiskey that's never been sold. It's possibly the best thing I've ever tasted. Lovely people as well!
It’s absolutely on my life of distilleries to visit. Really into everything they are doing thete, and I’m SURE they have some incredible stuff tucked away behind closed doors. Cheers!! 🥃
Another great informative video Ben, here in Australia this bottling goes for $160 AUS, 1 per customer. I'll have to do a software engineers course to afford one though.
'Respect for the consumer' Yes it certainly does.....unlike Diageo, from whom I haven't bought a bottle for the last ten years.

Ben just rechecked the info and tasting notes on the Ad/02.22 cask strength for sale here in Australia and it says the following. Unlike the core range, the cask strength edition sees 8 bourbon barrels re racked in Paul Launois champagne casts and 2 x-bourbon barrels split 0f 84% peated and 16% unpeated spirit. 12,886 bottles are on offer globally. Testing notes done October 14 2022. Would we get a different spirit than the Northern hemisphere but still called the ad 02.22 ?
There is a possibility. It's not uncommon for brands to ship "export" only, or country specific versions... could be a tax or customs thing? I wish Ardnamurcan were less expensive here in US , here where I live that one cask strength cost 90$ plus the 13% in taxes, it 100$, the 46% Ardnamurcan is here cost 68$ plus the beautiful sales taxes of Arkansas of 13% on alcohol
I won't be able to afford good quality scotch anymore with these prices, I guess my choice will be Johnnie walker black or Rum, I think I will get into Rum, Lol🥃👍

That sucks!! It does keep popping up every now and then. Personally, I’d recommend giving any of the Ardnamurchans a go if they are in your price range. All lovely, and a good few Cask Strengths too. Slainte! 🥃🥃
The AD/09.22 is available now on master of malt, it’s similar to this, but obviously later batch 👍
To be fair calling it supply chain information for consumers instead of blockchain will probably make it easier to understand. The blockchain is irrelevant to most consumers. And as you said it's just a distributed database.
