My favorite diesel engine is probably a 7.3L Powerstroke just cuz of the displacement and reliability. I also like Cummins, especially the 12v 5.9L 6BT which I like just as much as the 7.3L PS, but I prefer the 7.3L PS just cuz it’s a V8. I love how the 12v Cummins sounds like a big rig, but (again) since the 7.3L PS is a V8, it sounds better revved all the way than the Cummins

If you are going to swap a 5.9 Cummins i6 into another vehicle, why would you settle for the 12 valve model? If I were going to spend the time and money to do it, I would do it right with the 24 valve model. My 24 was much faster than my 12. Oh and I bet that guy with the "Cumstang" Mustang with the Cummins gets made fun of all the time by having his car called the "Cum Stain".

The older 12v 5.9 are very mechanical with almost no electronics and are fairly easy to swap and work on plus you can run it forever there bullet proof if takin care of

A good diesel does not have the DPF shit inside. The DPF prevents the diesel engine from black smoke.
