@@EbikeEscape I don't think you understand how revolutionary the software on this bike really is, you missed it completely...And it's the most impressive aspect of the bike...No matter what pedal assist mode you are in, using throttle only, it will keep going faster, up to 20 mph, meaning you can go decently fast, and get extreme range, by using minimum amps/watts..when you hit hills, to maintain speed, you might want to switch from 1 to 2 or 3 and then back to 1 or 2 depending on terrain and load....There is no need to go into 4 or 5 and use all those watts...Unless you have an xtreme load on the bike..No more going 7 mph to get extreme good range...I'd like to know for sure if that's the case...But, that is how I understand it..
I’ve had this bike for a month & I love it. I live in a very rural area so the closest grocery store is 12 miles away. We don’t have bike lanes so I’ve been taking gravel roads. It handles those roads so well. I did add some Flat Out to the tires for extra insurance. I may also change out the seat for better shock absorption, but I’m overall so happy with this. I purchased this bike(has not arrived yet)with 1 child seat but not the Orbiter....I sooo wish that I got the Orbiter too because this bike is purchased solely for me and my daughter. I'm in Daytona Beach Florida.
Great review, thanks, I do have a question. I've never ridden an E-bike but wanted one for long range touring/camping. This one from Lectric with the dual batteries is the most affordable I've seen but one thing I've never seen any reviewer mention is what are they like to pedal WITHOUT any assist at all? I realize people buy E-bikes exactly for that pedal assist and if you're only traveling 20 to 40 miles, that's fine but what about longer rides, where you'd want to pedal as much as you can with no pedal assist and only use the motor for help on hills or heading into the wind?
Pedal assist 1 is very mild for if you want more range or exercise. Gotta keep in mind it weighs 75lbs so that kinda offsets the motor. It's not the same as a completely manual bike but it's definitely similar in terms of effort and speed. Riding with no assist is a lot like riding a normal geared bike if you only rode it in the wrong gear. It's perfectly doable but with a 75lb bike it's definitely more difficult and I wouldn't really recommend it. But if you're worried about getting stranded if the battery runs out, it's still perfectly ridable.
@EbikeEscape Well its official i purchased the xpedition thanks to you guys! HUGE help and all of your videos, i can only buy one e bike, just one. I finally settled on the "mini-van" of ebikes the sort of go anywhere do it all bike! I am in ohio so it being August i sure hope it arrives before fall fingers crossed Thanks again guys!!!
Would it be possible at all to add a set of adult stabilizing wheels to the rear at all (to any of the Lectric eBikes)? See, I’m disabled but still want to get an eBikes as a replacement for my car. I know that they make a trike but with my needs/wants Lectric’s XP Trike meets my medical needs, but fails in every other necessity I have. I need to be able to travel long distances[+100 miles, I live far away from college & work], carry school supplies/books for college, I live in Wisconsin so the weather changes a lot so I’d also need to be able to have everything I carry be put into a waterproof bag to avoid rain & snow running groceries, clothing, and even very expensive tech (MacBook, 2 iPad Pro, multiple devices for accommodations for my disabilities) Every bike that Lectric has does really well in either distance, cargo capacity, or accommodations, but none of them come close to enough of a sweet spot for all 3… unless I could add stabilizing wheels to a bike like this one.
Tell Levi that i have been waiting for 3 months and still no delivery and i have received comments from others with trouble getting the delivery of ebike. I paid and they had no problem taking the money. We have contacted them on 4 occasion after being told a deliver date but nothing came on those dates. Very frumstrating waiting around for a delivery only to get disappointed. I know now that it is in detroit which is only 1 hour away and we are only 10 minutes from main highway. I could go there and get it and be back in three hours. Why no delivery. Come on Levi get your shipping act together. This pisses me off.
My problem with the Class 3 setting is that PAS 1 is around 9,5mph, PAS 2 is around 14.5 mph which is great for bike paths. However PAS 3 makes the bike rocket to around 22 mph, PAS 4 is about 25, PAS 5 is about 28mph.... So there is a huge jump up which is very annoying. I don't know why this would be. It is extremely annoying. Anyone know of a way to make the stepup from PAS 2-PAS 3 more gradual?
I have two ebikes with no shocks/suspension. And I have one with suspension. For me, suspension is necessary. Maybe they will make a cargo bike with suspension, later...I hope.
One month update: The XPedition has been running great, although with only a few minor hiccups. The second battery was lost in transit, but Lectric's customer support was on top of things when I contacted them via email. I got my second battery within a few days. Second hiccup is one that's affecting most if not all XPedition owners: Due to supply chain issues, the essentials package won't be shipped to customers til around end of April. Supply chain related delays I can deal with, but bear in mind it does make the derailleur vulnerable should the XPedition topple over on the side the derailleur is on. I do wish there was an included derailleur guard but considering I believe most XPedition owners will pick up the essenetials package, I understand why it wasn't included. Third issue: I'm unable to install the Tannus Amour. Maybe it's because Tannus is primarily for knobby tires and the XPedition uses street tires? Those non-issues aside (they're not dealbreakers, that's for sure), riding the XPedition is superb! Hydraulic brakes give me no issue about stopping power. Having the bike unlocked to Class III makes PAS 2 or 3 more than enough power for where I need to go. The adjustable handlebars solve the reach issue I kinda had with the 2.0. The cargo capacity gives me no qualms about grocery store trips now, especially once I order the XL pannier bags. Love my XPedition!
Obviously, Lectric has hit at least a triple with this cargo bike and certainly for the price, it seems unbeatable. I have a reasonable amount of experience with the Tern GSD cargo bike and wonder how you would compare the two. The GSD cost 4-5 times as much as the Lectric XPedition, but with the GSD you get more high end components in the transmission, the brakes and the suspension. Also, you get the Bosch motors and batteries which are UL tested and certified. Further Tern bikes have to meet the European safety and quality standard established for cargo bikes and I would imagine that Lectric has not applied to have its bike certified in the same manner . While I imagine that this bike will sell well, the real test is how long it will last???
Lectric is making strides towards UL certifying their products. And with the launch of the trike and the XPedition, have began DIN testing their frames. So while they are not on the same level as Tern in some categories, they are trying to bridge that gap a bit.
We did notice that as well. The motor is a bit louder then some others. But the 24 amps and 1310 peak wattage kind of make the bit of extra sound worth it to us.
@@EbikeEscape to me that loud motor is a deal breaker. I like the other features but with a loud motor I lose a lot of the enjoyment from riding an ebike. I really want to like this bike but it falls short in a critical area for me. I am sure others will love it.
I think this is very good it’s something that will have to grow on me but the utility is why I’m interested in it and price fits my budget I need to see more vids but so far it got me thinking 🎉
Wow❗️ Nice cargo bike and a great review of it. Lectric is going to end up putting Rad Power Bikes out of business or at the very least, knocking them down from the top spot.
Calling those washers on the front fork torque arms is false advertisement they are not. There is no torque related to the front axle due to wheel bearings. Those washers are for alignment, placement, wear-protection, not torque arms at all. The torque goes through the welded, integrated brake-caliper mounting-brackets. Lectric pretty much nailed it in comparison to the other cargo bikes. I believe they should at least offer a deluxe edition with brake and blinker lights and of course front suspension. Just my opinion.
How do you find the geometry in terms of the how far forward the seat is compared to the pedals? I had the XP 2. 0 Step Thru and found the seat too far forward which made you feel like you were on a Unicycle with the pedals right under your seat. Even with the seat all the way back, my thighs and knees were cramped I I felt a lay back seat post would be needed. Pedaling didn't feel natural in this position and required more effort and caused more strain. (5ft9, 185lb, 40 year old rider) I couldn't get good leg extension with seat raised and moved to the rear. My other ebikes felt more natural in terms of relationship between pedals and seat. I felt the folding nature of the XP 2.0 caused them to have the seat post angle too verticle above the pedals instead of further back.
They don't have that specific dimension listed anywhere but I took a look at their website and on the XP the center of the pedals is directly below the tip of the seat, and on the Xpedition it looks like the pedals are offset in front of the seat. So it sounds like it would be a better fit. The Xpedition also has a comically long seat post if you extend it fully. I don't know if that was an issue for you with the XP but if it was, the Xpedition definitely does better there. Take a look at the photos on Lectric's website.
Hey, as a first time e-bike rider in her early 60's at 5'5" tall who also goes camping, which e-bike would you recommend. I'm thinking, 20" fat tire step through frame? There are so many choices, how does one decide when they don't have access to sales shops. I'm also in Canada so prices are much higher. Hope to hear back from you as you do a great job explaining stuff.
I commute 32 miles round trip to work 3 days a week on a FreeGo DK200 (no I have nothing to do with them and bought my bike at full price on Amazon), it's not perfect, but is better suited to commuting (at least to me). I like the concept of the XPedition, but for me it's just a toy in its current configuration. It needs a 1200+ watt sustained (not peak) motor. It needs a fixed gear, to allow you to take off easily in pedal only (saves battery, it's like a hybrid car in reverse, the most power is used on takeoff) without extra crap to break (full gear set). It needs turn signals, actual suspension, a functioning brake light and BMX style upright handlebars --- who wants to ride to work hunched over? For someone like me commuting, I need to be able to sustain 30-35 mph in traffic, this bike doesn't look like it's going to do that. It also looks like you're going to be very uncomfortable after about 5 miles. The gear bikes with small motors, poor lighting and poor suspension are just toys (IMO). I guess if you live a block from the beach or something and just want to scoot down there on Saturday with your cooler and beach bag on the back, this is probably fine... which makes the dual batteries an odd choice, as I can't see anyone actually commuting on this bike or using it for deliveries.
Perhaps PA levels 4 & 5 might be highly beneficial when needing to peddle up the steepest of hills whilst not blowing an o-ring and thus turning up for work in need of a shower and a Power Nap. I live in the mountains, and just ordered one of these so that I can leave my car at home and make the 11 mile/18km, (22/36 round trip) commute to/from work. I am still capable of doing this on a peddle bike, but it takes a long time with several long steep hill grades to pull, and as suggested, l turn up in need of repairs. I anticipate the e-bike allowing me to leave the car home, still get a decent bit of cardio because I will always peddle 😅, yet not go into oxygen debt and sweat out all the salts, and, all while keeping the pace up so I don’t have to leave home in the middle of the night. Have you tried testing various PA levels on various hill grades? This is something I would appreciate seeing in reviews. I’ll find out soon enough though, my order is scheduled to deliver next week. Lectric is throwing in nearly $500 worth of accessories with both single and dual battery versions right now, so great time to buy if you are back & forth on the decision.
Ooooohh nice 🔥 I would have liked it to be Foldable as the others though. That's one of the draws for me. I have a very small space for storage. Will def look into getting one of these 👍🏾
The XP 3.0 also has an impressive weight rating on the back rack. If you wanted to use the bike for grocery trips or such, and the back rack isn't big enough, you can attach a bicycle trailer for those trips.
Great review and very interesting offering from Lectric a bit of a departure from their other bikes With that telescoping seat post is there still an option for a suspension seat post
But what is the purpose of the idle part of the chain, does the chain get in a way of something. If they put that same controller and hub in the 3.0 that would be a winner
Has anyone heard of Aipas as a brand? If so, are they any good? They have a cargo bike that feels almost like a clone of this bike with some of additional features off the Aventon Abound (front suspension, turn signals) but i am uncertain if they are a reliable brand to buy from... With lectric, aventon, etc you can rely on them being around in a few years when you need parts...
@@EbikeEscape will you be testing out the A6 from Aipas or passing on it for this reason? It is so tempting...fixes 2 of my 4 complaints with the XPedition... sigh...think I will keep waiting for that unicorn product, lol
I have to disagree with your opinion on the Shimano Tourney derailleur. My Premium, along with many other owners, dislike the Tourney. It is almost impossible to tune properly. First thing I upgraded on mine was to the Altus derailleur. Much improvement! Leads me to believe your test units are more precisely tuned for you to review. Real world delivery is much different!
We have a lot of experience with the tourney derailleurs, so might have a bit more ability to adjust them. But we also completely agree, the Altus is a worth while upgrade. Has a bit larger adjustment range.
Question: If I kept this bike at Class 2 settings, how do the 5 PAS speeds work? Would the PAS levels “top out” at slower speeds with Class 2 than if the bike was set for Class 3 settings? Are the PAS speeds adjustable through advanced settings? Thanks!
Lots of interesting and thoughtful features'. Another great value option from Lectric. I do wonder however if this is a niche application. How many Lectric customers need or want such extensive cargo capability?
I think, like the trike, Lectric is stemming into other markets. We can say that the XPedition fits some of our needs here at Ebike Escape that a standard 3.0 couldn't. Hauling around 2 kids and carrying enough groceries for the family.
@@EbikeEscape I would love to use the XPedition for those uses. Unfortunately, my city, like many in the U.S., have very limited or poor biking infrastructure. I wouldn't be willing to put all my eggs in one basket both literally and figuratively. I'll take my XP 3.0 shopping but sans passengers and prefer to limit the load to remain more agile.
Oh we completely understand that. We live in rural Wisconsin. Biking infrastructure doesn't exist in large parts of our city. Hopefully ebikes will help bring the infrastructure around for all of us to enjoy. Cheers!
in cities like Vancouver, where I live, the demand for kid hauling electric cargo bikes is HIGH. this entry to the market, even with the US-CAN exchange rate, is a game changer. I think they will be very successful with families looking to enter the e-bike market. I have a RadWagon but am going to sell it for this.
Greetings from Fort Myers! Thanks for the review! Placing my order tomorrow via your link. What part of FL are you in? We have a riding group that goes out to Sanibel and Capitiva often.
Nice! Just south of you in Naples right now. We were in Cape Coral last month - would have been fun to do a group ride. We kind of bounce around depending on where we can find affordable Airbnbs. Thanks for the support, hope you enjoy it!
If you watch the conclusion you can see how Ryan (who is 6') fits on this ebike. I think there is a level of difficulty to adding a motor to a standard bike. But if you are up for the challenge adding the motor could be fun. You could also check out the Flyer L885 or Blix Packa. Both of those have a bit bigger cock pit area or multiple frame size options.
How will this bike handle on dirt and gravel roads? Think it would be good to use as a bike packing bike? I am thinking about purchasing an E Bike for bike camping and this seems to be a good option IF it will be good on country roads that are not paved.
I ordered the XPedition Dual Battery on the 22nd. I'm really looking forward to using it as my car replacement vehicle. With that said, I was wondering if the XPedition tires come with Slime like their previous bikes. And do the batteries require their keys inserted in them to operate the bike?
The tubes do come with Slime pre-installed. And no, the batteries do not require the keys to be left in to operate. Enjoy your XPedition. We have really been enjoying ours.
Unfortunately it is only offered in white. You could always paint or modify it yourself. And no, it does not fold. Would be hard to maintain that weight limit and fold.
I think this will be my first cargo bike...mostly due to price. It will probably be between this, aventon around, and the radwagon4... This will let me see if I can adjust my behavior at a minimal investment overall... Beyond value is there a reason this is better than the other 2 I am considering?
I had the RadWagon 4 for two years as my daily. driver, and it just got stolen. I have no doubts about replacing it with the Lectric. Based on what I see here, the Lectric is superior in every single aspect, except for the boring color and the kickstand. The RadWagon has a motorcycle-like kickstand, yet still - that didn't prevent it from falling over (with my kid in the back) on soft ground once (nobody was hurt.) I found the RadWagon adequate, but I had a few gripes with it. Number One: the brakes. In my opinion, mechanical brakes have no business on any e-bike, but I begrudgingly accepted that reality considering the RadWagon was - by far - the most affordable cargo e-bike at the time. Unsurprisingly, the brakes required constant maintenance. I had to adjust them about once a month, and on a few occasions, I experienced sudden failures of one brake at a time. Not super-dangerous, but definitely not a great thing going up to 25mph with a kid in the back. Number Two: The RadWagon always felt overbuilt to me. It is incredibly heavy. With a child caboose and cargo racks installed, mine weighed about 100 lbs. The motor has adequate power, but the bike is unwieldy. Moving it around without motor assistance was like pushing a motorcycle around. I used to refer to it as my "two-wheeled pickup." With the disclaimer that I have yet to experience the Lectric Xpedition in person, I don't see anything here that would convince me to get the RadWagon instead. I looked at the Aventon Abound, too, but seeing it has mechanical brakes immediately kills it as a contender for me.
The XPedition does have metal pedals. The rear light illuminates when you turn on the headlight, but it does not operate like a brake light. There are some third party options I have seen for motorcycles that you might be able to outfit. But I have found just a rechargeable flashing rear light is sufficient enough for me.
Yes. The pad uses the Thule window to mount. This is how I (JT) used my Xpedition at the beginning of the year. Toddler in the back, 5 year old in the front.
@Ebike Escape what about between the adventon abound vs lectric xpedition? I love in a small town and would like to start getting some exercise and going to the store or taking my 5 year old to school etc. He would be in the bike mist the time and we do have several hills in town. Just not sure which one to get especially with Aventon giving a free second battery right now which helps with the gap between the dual battery on the abound
I would agree that this bike is giving a good value at this price range. Especially for the two battery options.. all ebike brands sold in America must be careful how the product is worded, 750 watts is the max legally to keep it in a certain class, if it peak over 1300 watts it a 1000 watt motor. Which is achieved when over riding the factory settings..the factory settings is how it's able to meet the conditions to be sold... 🤫. It's their first unfolding bike so why the tiny tires?. All folding bikes have small diameter tires, because they are compact bikes designed for storage and transport but not suited for a cargo bike, especially with no front-end suspension and considering the payload this bike is rated for,, especially for your most precious payloads. Bigger is better... A compact cargo bike??? Might as well made it fold..🤔🤔hmm.
I'm guessing capacity would have been impacted if it folded. The motor question is an interesting one that I've thought about. It seems like the consensus at least for ebike brands is that 750 watt nominal motors meet the regulation and peak power doesn't necessarily matter. Rad takes a hard line on 750 watt peak. And the tire size does help keep the bike lower to the ground and certainly helps with packaging. I like the Flyer L885 route of having a bigger tire up front and a smaller one in the rear.
you had me sold until the kickstand comment... that's a shame they didn't make it more sturdy. it would really stink to have this thing tip over while loading or unloading a kid.
What? No keyed on/off? Love the bike, but hate the "steal me, steal me" aspect of it. I guess this is for people that like to ride from their locked garage back to their locked garage.
all parts are cheaply made in China, especially all mechanical parts and battery also motor. this thing will last you maybe 7 months to a year then parts start to feed on your wallet. I already own a Rad-wagon, its OK but i wouIdn't trust that thing for any trips more than 10 miles far, if i could remake my choice I would go with Tern, yes, much more expensive but you are getting peace of mine with the purchase, they give you 5 years warranty plus you can see all parts are made and backed by reliable companies. If you are serious about getting an e-bike and replace your car, go with something you know you can trust.
18:41 There is something you may not of heard of..."MOUNTAINS" and "HILLS" that require lvl4 n 5 and will probably be insufficient if personal experience with similar bikes holds true. 20:29 When I have groceries and some are frozen I am more than happy to go at the HIGHEST speed possible home. I assume when you think "cargo" you were only thinking children.
Great Review. I think the "Bean Counters" are stopping Lectric from being a Category Killer. Fixed fork, no tire liners. Two batteries no name cells, not UL Approved and you are Strapping Two Children in to the seats.
@@deerarebigdogs 1. Not exactly a budget brand. There's cheaper. But I've owned 4 of these. Thought they would get better. Never really do. 3 inch tires suck. Worst size for stability. And my point is....a cargo bike should have bigger than 20 inch tires
@@wesduff7075 @Wes Duff 1) If you don't think it's a budget brand then I want what you're smoking. They're the cheapest bikes you can get from an actual reputable brand. Bikes cheaper than these aren't budget they're dangerous. 2) Making tire with narrower makes them less stable. That's universal, maybe you're filling your tires too much or too little. 3) There's nothing about it being a cargo bike that makes a 20 inch wheel too small.
@@deerarebigdogs Thanks for that answer, I sort of though as much.
We hope you enjoy it. The XPedtion is a great all around ebike.
I need to be able to travel long distances[+100 miles, I live far away from college & work], carry school supplies/books for college, I live in Wisconsin so the weather changes a lot so I’d also need to be able to have everything I carry be put into a waterproof bag to avoid rain & snow running groceries, clothing, and even very expensive tech (MacBook, 2 iPad Pro, multiple devices for accommodations for my disabilities)
Every bike that Lectric has does really well in either distance, cargo capacity, or accommodations, but none of them come close to enough of a sweet spot for all 3… unless I could add stabilizing wheels to a bike like this one.
I think PAS 2 is too much of a jump. I wish there was a way to adjust these speeds!
Lectric keeps innovating 😎👍👍❤. You do a more indeph review than anyone on any bikes which I enjoy .
Thanks Scuba!😀
Great, thorough review. Thank you.
This is exactly what I’m looking for
Obviously, Lectric has hit at least a triple with this cargo bike and certainly for the price, it seems unbeatable.
The motor sound is a little loud. However, the load capacity is great.
We are extremely interested to see what this ebike does to the market. Thanks for the comment! 👍
Thanks you're correct. I've just seen similar parts used on the rear.
Forgot thumbs up.. Came back to give ya your dues.👍
Always appreciate your comments and support Kevin! 👍
Divided between the xpedition and the abound.
Ooooohh nice 🔥 I would have liked it to be Foldable as the others though. That's one of the draws for me. I have a very small space for storage. Will def look into getting one of these 👍🏾
That's understandable. I'd guess that a folding cargo ebike simply wouldn't be able to have this massive of a weight capacity.
The XP 3.0 also has an impressive weight rating on the back rack. If you wanted to use the bike for grocery trips or such, and the back rack isn't big enough, you can attach a bicycle trailer for those trips.
Can the child seat be turned around backwards?
Great review and very interesting offering from Lectric a bit of a departure from their other bikes With that telescoping seat post is there still an option for a suspension seat post
Yes. You can actually take apart the factory seat post and use just the lower half. We will be exploring this a bit more in the near future.
But what is the purpose of the idle part of the chain, does the chain get in a way of something. If they put that same controller and hub in the 3.0 that would be a winner
That ideal wheel keeps the chain away from the kickstand. They are nice to see when the chain is a bit longer for a cargo ebike.
I think you pretty much nailed it
@@EbikeEscape will you be testing out the A6 from Aipas or passing on it for this reason?
How do you adjust it to Class 3?
Electric cargo bike it’s awesome I like it dual batteries. It’s cool bike I have a 2019rad OK wagon cargo bike
Question: If I kept this bike at Class 2 settings, how do the 5 PAS speeds work? Would the PAS levels “top out” at slower speeds with Class 2 than if the bike was set for Class 3 settings? Are the PAS speeds adjustable through advanced settings? Thanks!
It's current based so pedal assist level is not tied to any speed. But if I remember correctly the currents are toned down a bit when set to Class 2.
How would you compare this to the Blix genie review you did?
Great review! What would be a better build for someone who is 6’? This or a regular Kombi and adding an e-assist ?
@Ebike Escape can the batteries be charged in place or do they have to come out?
I really want this bike in black. Can it be folded?
Unfortunately it is only offered in white. You could always paint or modify it yourself. And no, it does not fold. Would be hard to maintain that weight limit and fold.
Has anyone tried using Tern's cargo/rack system with this bike ?!
We have not. What cargo/rack are you thinking? Please post a link.
@@sundaydiver great feedback on the Radwagon4! Thanks!
I am pretty sure the Aventon Abound has hydraulic brakes but don't quote me on that
Can you please let me know if the pedals are metal? As many bikes are plastic. And does it have a brake light ? Or is a BL available? Ty
The XPedition does have metal pedals. The rear light illuminates when you turn on the headlight, but it does not operate like a brake light. There are some third party options I have seen for motorcycles that you might be able to outfit. But I have found just a rechargeable flashing rear light is sufficient enough for me.
@EbikeEscape thank you I do love the
This x p cargo soon I will own one !
Thank you 😊 for your reply.
how did it feel without the electric ? can i pedal without the battery without a struggle ?
It is a much heavier bike at that point. I wouldn’t want to climb any hills, but it could still be ridden.
Can it go on a citi bus rack?
Does the front pad fit with the maxi seat in the back?
Yes. The pad uses the Thule window to mount. This is how I (JT) used my Xpedition at the beginning of the year. Toddler in the back, 5 year old in the front.
Bikes have to stop at stop signs aswell?
Quick release pedals make for a great anti theft measure
For sure
Seems like (given the choice) - you'd probably pick up a XPedition over a RadWagon 4 if you had to buy one today...?
That is a correct assumption. The 28ah batteries and Lectric's customer service are two things that we would almost have to go with.
That motor sounds super loud... or is that just for the video?
It's a bit louder than most I'd say.
@@EbikeEscape Thanks for replying.
Does this have enough fork and frame clearance to remove fenders and use 20"x4.0" tires?
Was gonna by a long range step through 3.0 this spring. Looks like I'll be getting this instead.
Will the extra battery on the seat post area on the XPremium work on the Xpedition, the batteries look the same
Yes. The 10Ah and 14Ah batteries can be interchanged.
@@EbikeEscape Cool thanks, I saved me some money
Ryan, is there a overbuilt bike stand on Amazon you’d recommend?
The loud sound, is it just in video or is it really that loud. That would get tiring to hear especially out on a joy ride.
That's how it sounds though the camera/mic is closer than you are to the motor. Typical sound in my opinion.
Do the batteries need to be removed to charge?
No. they can be charged on or off the ebike.
Great review! How does this compare to the RadWagon? To me it looks better in basically every way, but curious your thoughts after using both.
See my report of the RadWagon above.
Is it normal for the motor to be that noisy?
That thing could hold a huge beer cooler ... I mean picnic cooler 👍😂
About 300lbs work of -beer- juice to be exact.
Ryan, is there a overbuilt bike stand on Amazon you’d recommend?
Mine will be here tomorrow (march 8th)
Have not tried out any of the budget bike stands. You might have some luck searching on radowners.com
you had me sold until the kickstand comment... that's a shame they didn't make it more sturdy. it would really stink to have this thing tip over while loading or unloading a kid.
That’s a surprising way to become un-sold. Kickstands can be replaced or, the user could be sure to only use it on solid ground.
The motor noise really bothers me. It sounds uneven or unbalanced on my bike and in this video as well.
Did you compare it to the abound by any chance? I’m decided between the xpedition and the abound.
What? No keyed on/off? Love the bike, but hate the "steal me, steal me" aspect of it.
I guess this is for people that like to ride from their locked garage back to their locked garage.
Regenerative braking would have been nice
all parts are cheaply made in China, especially all mechanical parts and battery also motor. this thing will last you maybe 7 months to a year then parts start to feed on your wallet.
Honestly, the only thing turning me off from buying this bike is that the integrated rear light isn't brake actuated
Small thing for the value you're getting here in my opinion
Very cool

I'm so confused. Your video is sponsored by Tannus after electric send you a free bike???
Crazy .. might as well get a car
Or better yet, get both!

I’m waiting for company like this to sell in Costco. I’m trusting my large investment with Costco more than these independent company.
If bert is promoting it i'm focused on this.. also this doesn't look like shit right from china.. very nice
Who's Bert?
Great Review. I think the "Bean Counters" are stopping Lectric from being a Category Killer. Fixed fork, no tire liners. Two batteries no name cells, not UL Approved and you are Strapping Two Children in to the seats.
I just had my RadWagon stolen and something tells me this bike is in my very near future...
Sorry to hear that!
Lectric motor sounds terrible. Why so loud? My ebike is quiet.
radwagon move over, your time is over
TERRIBLE COMPANY TO DEAL WITH, bikes are pretty good, company is bottom of the barrel.
It's a cargo bike with 20" wheels lol. What a joke. Everything lectric has a chance to shine, they keep it small and cheap. Moving on to better brands
Bruh they're a budget brand. Besides there's not really a major issue with it having 20s.
It's not the perfect wheel size but that's why the bike is cheaper. If you want perfect get a reise & muller for 8k.
@@deerarebigdogs lol. Must be easy to be ignorant. Huffy is a prime example of quality budget brand. Several others at same range. Walmart sells true "budget" brands lol.
