you are "Amazing" !...thanks for never ceasing to share your gift!...continual Blessings forever. I'm always learning from you. Hope to meet you one day at a meet & greet.
You are so welcome! I wish you blessings as well. I certainly hope a lot of us can meet someday, I'm all about bringing the real world and online world of antiquing and vintage together!
Good evening, what distinguishes your channel on other antique channels is that you are distinguished from them by the accurate and useful commentary on the age of the antique.
I discovered my favorite childhood photo, the Turner Flamingo! Omg, Thanks forever! I will be ordering the print and hanging it right in my home! My mother's living room again.
Late 70s - At High School I was a bad ars Rock n Roller, jeans and jean jacket out smoking cigarettes in the smoking area (where I met my husband) On Saturday night I put on my wrap skirt and body suit with strappy heels and snuck off to the Red Caboose to Disco... I miss those days
I appreciate that! I'm happy to share knowledge so we all can enjoy these things and their place in time--and our lives. I'm glad to be a calming influence in these rather hectic times
My thoughts: 1) Charles & Diana are glaring at each other even on that platter; 2) The Bambi piece was heart-meltable, and 3) Giant patio cat was amazing.
@@TheAntiqueNomadWhenever I buy something new to eat from, like dish wear, the first thing I do is soak and scrub off the labels lol I guess I'm not a real collector. I buy things to use, with rare exceptions when I buy something decorative.
My formula for making money over 40 years was based on the premise that people both ate and drank. I focused on the kitchen and barware. The sales of both never let me down. My first stop at estate sales was always the kitchen, then I headed for the basement and the built in knotty pine bar. Your tours are just amazing! Thanks.
I really favor those areas as well! Kitchen stuff sells because people can justify it as "useful". I like everything it seems, but those are closer to "needs" than wants. Hope to see you in Bardstown soon
The architecture of that jewelry box is everything! My #1 wish list item. I just 💜 this channel and George! Can't believe he gives us all this FREE information. I hope he makes lots of $ in his business. Thx George. You're a very cool cat. 😎
Aww, thanks! I've been blessed with some generous subs and some mail order from this, I went in with the idea that I wanted to give back for all the knowledge people shared with me all these years but I also am appreciative of the people who are supporting what I do now, especially in these strange times.
Mr. Nomad , I love your videos. Seeing a lot of the stuff reminds me of days gone by.. I bet you have a good time going to other states and seeing all the great things.

My mom had two of the redwood chairs on the patio..I found them uncomfortable.. i much preferred the other patio chairs and she had the tall windmills and a silver dollar tree .wow what memories .she also had a ice crusher that was bulilt and shaped like a bullet, and a complete set of franciscan desert rose dish set..I always wanted them but they were given to my cousin. Because I got her other set and so much more when she passed..u are always a wealth of knowledge and bring back so many memories for me.
I have a set of Franciscan Desert Rose that belonged to my grandmother. (It's the more desirable stuff from their early California production days.) Unfortunately it's not my style at all, so I'm glad to hear there are people who still adore it. I'm much more of a minimalist at heart, so I haven't yet figured out what to do with it. Right now, it's in a box on my living room floor--not very practical. I hope someday it will find a new, loving home here in FL. It's too much to ship, so I'll have to find someone local who can appreciate it. I have many other of my grandmother's things that better align with my personal aesthetic, but the great thing about design is that there's something for everyone. Thank goodness!
Gray video. Thanks for all the information you share as you take us on your travels in antique shops, auctions etc. This past week on the Crazy Lamp Lady she did a homage to you as she found a piece of Treasure Craft in a Goid Will in Pennsylvania. No social distancing? K weird. I have post prohibition whiskey bottles embossed with federal law forbids the use and resale of this bottle on them. In amber and clear, cork tops and screw tops. Are these of any intetest?
Oh, they're social distancing for sure, especially now...in fact, masks are now required in St. Pete. I find that if I'm holding a camera and doing my thing, people give me a wide berth so I've had plenty of distance generally. The federal law is mainly to prevent bootlegging, some people collect certain ones but mainly for the shapes or labels, most post-prohibition bottles aren't worth a lot
Im glad youre doing these videos. O do have some cool shaped federal bottles, lots of plain janes, but some cool ones. Im from Clearwater out of state but will be moving back to crystal river from new england early next year. I hope we talk more often. Maybe work together.

That small jadeite swirl Fire King bowl in the set in your video is not the bowl the one in your video is the 6 in the one that is worth a good amount of money is the 5-inch Bowl which is worth around $300+ by itself
You're right, I should've measured it! The 5" is the scarce one, I guess less practical at the time so not purchased as much
I just saw some fruit glasses you have on your intro what are those called I have two had 4 the others broke they’re from the 60’s or 70’s?
I think he said Zombie glasses.
Zombie glasses, probably screenprinted by Gay Fad Company in Ohio around 1960

Hello George..am from Philippines..try to ask you some help to collect some stuff there..I am one of those collectors here in the Philippines..
Kanawha is pronounced ku-NAW-uh. :-)
You should up this must of these are out of business

erm - Royalty stuff is almost worthless in the UK
I've heard, too much of it and too many scandals
Love to watch you and learn but the commercials are a lot, I understand having a few but 8? Definitely stop watching because they are so constant
That really is a lot, I'm afraid UA-cam puts those in automatically and I don't have a lot of control over that. I know most are skippable, but I think they do it to get people to pay the $10/month to get the Premium subscription where you don't see ads at all.
