I just returned my B1M to Seller. Read the reviews on the App store and software as they are true. The APP and DVR freeze and are consistently problematic. I could not rely on it automatically recording on start and often would constantly only record half the journey.
Great video but the youtube compression doesn't give it justice, the cam quality isn't gopro level and it's not meant to be, however, it has a better quality than what is show here. I bought and mounted the exact model and it's great for ALWAYS recording in case of an unfortunate event. You will have video to prove what happened, just like a car dashcam!
Very helpful to the riding communities. Well done on the installation and test ride footage. Did you ever make a comparison on video quality between the BlueSkySea B1M and Thinkware M1?
I bought one back in February this year. I spoke to them about their last model and they recommended this one because of the uprated cameras. The cameras were excellent. However, the GPS module never worked, Bluetoothing the videos to your phone was extremely slow. And as soon as I started moving the files would corrupt on the SD card. I could only put it down to the SD card rattling around in its holder. I tried many SD cards and all suffered the same problem. Maybe I had an early version of the B1m and something was changed as its working lovely in this video. I got my money back and then bought the innovv K2 which has been faultless but twice the price and is the same set up almost. The B1m had the appearance of being made really well, not a cheap Chinese item, its a shame mine never worked.
Woodzman, thanks for taking the time to review these cams. I wanted to ask about the video of your ride. Is that the quality from the camera, or was it due to youtube's compression making it look pixelated?. Also, does this have WDR functionality? Cheers.

I notice a lot of “chop” and poor resolution when you are riding. I am not sure if it interference from your electrical or electronic ignition system or the camera location is picking up a vibration. It stopped momentarily when you did the U-turn but started once you got the bike moving again.

May i ask you about the settings of the device and to be more precise i am curious about the videos recorded without phone connected ( for example: When you turn on the motorbike i assume this device have motion detection and start recording automatically when you start drive ,but is the date/time correct when you watch the movies later ? for example you start driving on 13.10.2020 in 13:00 PM , there is no connected phone and the device start recording automatically. Were the videos recorded with that way. whether the videos showed with the proper date/time when you watch them and when you inspect them with the app or with the PC on the SD card.
It’s been a while sense I looked at it, I believe it names the files by date and time, the files are stored on the Micro SD card that you put in it. When the Micro SD card is full, the new videos will overwrite the oldest videos first.
I can't speak for Woodsman, but I simply pulled the headlight fuse, stripped back the wire a bit longer than normal, bent wire over one blade of the fuse, and plugged the fuse back in. (Make sure you are on the load side of the fuse, unless there is a separate inline fuse for the camera system)

It sounds like you do not have the white wire connected to ignition positive. The white wire needs to be connected to a positive that when the key is on, the wire is positive. If your video is upside down, listen the camera and rotate in until it’s upright
I use dv988. You can rotate your camera by loosing in the front ring and rotate the back.... If in the display shows vehichle on the left but actually the vehicle is on the right, just switch the cable between 2 cameras (front & rear) on the display connector. It happened to me. For kawasaki motorcycle (ninja 650 , z800), ignition cable is below tank and coloured brown. Or, you can connect the white cable from the display to brake light (+) cable or other lamp which will turned on when ignition is ON. Better to put fuse as well for positive (+) cable, the red and white.

These cameras are garbage. Mine lasted 2 years and quit working. They refused to offer any repair either. Nice...
