HAHAHAHA! Your assessment on getting started with sourdough bread was both hilarious and spot on. I tried it many moons ago and realized I wasn't ready for the commitment. Lol. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BRANDON!!! My dad's Birthday was Dec. 23rd, so I always tried to make it special for him. I know a lot goes into filming, editing and submitting your videos. As time has gone on, I've seen Brandon get more comfortable with it (Sarah, you're a natural!). I wouldn't want him to feel forced to come up with something just to have more of his content in it. I guess what I'm saying is that it would be more from the heart if there is a natural progression of more cow bell. Brandon reminds me of me - silly and fun-loving with a mix of seriousness, but painfully shy when put in the spotlight.

I commend you on your”Why Not” Sourdough journey! I have been baking Sourdough loaves for years. I grew my own starter (it’s the OG)and make on average about 3-4 loaves a week. I personally used Phil at Culinary Exploration as my mentor and guide. He has a UA-cam channel. Take a minute and watch him. He is a legend(in my Sourdough world) I owe my perfect loaf to Phil. Probably 50 years ago my mother had a sourdough sampler. I can't remember how long she kept it up, but it was for a while. Good for you for however long you last with it! :D I really love watching what, to me, looks like an idyllic life on the lake, and look forward to every installment. Hey guys!! Huge fan of the channel!! One thing I did notice as a semi-experienced bread maker. Never cut into a hot loaf. Let that cool to room temp. Cutting into a hot loaf will destroy the crumb structure.

If you slice it prior to freezing then you can just take slices out of the freezer & put it in the toaster to defrost. this is great in the summer especially, so the bread does not get moldy. This way you can make a few loafs at a time. You two are adorable!! I love your down to earth spirit which make your videos so wonderful. A few country folks who keep it going year round and praise it to where it has spread all over the Tube. Now we are feeling pressured to try it too!
Brandon’s originally from south GA but grew up moving around all over.. probably a little of this & a little of that mixed in there! Haha sourdough has definitely become “trendy” lately but unlike most trends this one is actually pretty good, & if nothing else, healthy!

Merry Christmas!! I love love love the Iko blanket! My hubby got me a very similar blanket with my grand puppy Ella. We adore each other and when she’s at home with mommy (my daughter!) and I miss her so much, I at least can snuggle with my blanket! It has a full photo of my girl. 😍❤️

A few country folks who keep it going year round and praise it to where it has spread all over the Tube. Now we are feeling pressured to try it too!
Brandon’s originally from south GA but grew up moving around all over.. probably a little of this & a little of that mixed in there! Haha sourdough has definitely become “trendy” lately but unlike most trends this one is actually pretty good, & if nothing else, healthy!
