Enjoyed the video. the remodel looks real good. When i get sick i just make an old Hot Toddy. A little apple crown royal and a little honey. A little squirt of lemon juice. Clears things right up!! YEE ! HAW! Mr Brandon is playing the strings off that banjo, Fantastic!!

So happy you got to spend Thanksgiving with your family… and got lots of leftovers, it’s nice to go on vacation but much nicer to come home.. I love watching Brandon play his banjo he is very good… Iko is adorable and has such a fulfilling life she adapted well to the house boat and loves riding into shore for her romp around the lake… take care and God Bless🙏🏼

I always enjoyed running in the Dam Race down there around the campground and Fontana Dam.
I haven’t seen this happen in the past few years! Have I just missed it I wonder or maybe they don’t do it anymore? I would love to run it!!

Thanksgiving was very good here on the West Coast too. Land of few lakes and few live aboard houseboats. I love the area where you live. I've only been there twice and as amazed both times. Thanks to both of you for another home spun video of Keeping Afloat with the Jones.

Oh no...I am so sorry the weather was so crappiola the week you were here in Florida. That was one of the worst weather weeks we have had here in a few months. So glad you were able to make the best of it nonetheless. Personally, I love the rain and have never been one to be affected by the weather, but days and days of that, non-stop, that whole week, with four fur littles who refused to go potty was a little sad-face.

Noticed when you were making your tonic with honey, you used a metal spoon. Had a beekeeper tell me honey loses some of its benefits when it contacts metal.

You should use a pocket door for the bathroom.
All of our plumbing & gas lines are in that wall, so we cannot. However I am hoping to put a sliding barn door along the inside of the bathroom wall!

Love your videos. You sold our planned visit to the Air B&B, but hope to come camp between Christmas and New Years. Don't have a boat anymore, but if Branden is working any during that time, would love to come by and say hi.
Absolutely 🙌 we will be gone for a day or two to visit family but other than that we’ll be around & the marina will be open, so i’m sure he’ll be working some! 🤝
oh but just remember that particular RV campground closest to us is closed thru the winter - however there are others in the area a little further away. You may already know some of the spots!?

Hi Brandon and Sarah! You mentioned the campground at Fontana dam…do you know much about the Almond Boat and RV Park? Also have you ever hiked the Tsali trails on Fontana lake? My wife and I scheduled a camping trip there next spring. One more thing is there a problem with Bears? Really enjoying your videos and builds!
Hey hey! Yeah almond is down on the other end of the lake from us, we head down to the boat park from time to time but I haven’t seen the RV area! Tsali is awesome! I work out of their boat launch a lot, doing kayak rentals and guided kayaking tours. The trails are great, especially if you’re into mtn biking or horseback riding, but also just in general. lots of loops with various cut-throughs so you can choose what distance works best for you.
I have never heard of Tsali having an issue with aggressive bears, but of course there will be bears in the area. As long as you’re following rules with your food storage & all, I wouldn’t worry about that 🙌

Do they scuba dive at Lake Fontana? Being that it is so deep I was wondering.
I don’t know of anyone who does it recreationally but we have had a diver go under our house for something we dropped, and we have divers come pick up sunken trash underneath the marina at our annual trash cleanup! Other than that, I’m not sure.. most areas are several hundred feet deep (500ft at the deepest!) so it would be very dangerous & technical diving, not recreational.

not to be too critical but the sound with I think its the new camera is real tinny thin and harsh like......
I know exactly what you mean! I’ve been thinking the same and am pretty sure it’s user error, me not knowing yet exactly what audio settings to use, rather than the camera’s fault haha. I’ll try to experiment more this week with the settings and get it improved soon 🙌
LOL I know nothing about camera sound settings but have seen lots of situations where an external mic is mounted... lots of times they are shotgun style designed to pick up a subject speaking, might not be best for you as you are narrator. I also see a lot of folks using some type of lavalier mic many of which are wireless now. More bulk and stuff I'm sure to deal with though as downside. Perhaps the camera has some type EQ adjustment - what is needed is more low end and maybe a touch less mid. Great channel!
