It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas here at the cabin! Joe & Parker are settling right in & it does my heart good to see Joe get so much time with him. They're like two peas in a pod! We'll see if Parker's little snare setup catches anything. Oh I can't wait to see his face when it does! Still getting used to the fact that this is real. The vacation isn't ending...Alaska life is everything we remembered it to be. Have ya'll started decorating for Christmas yet?

My husband actually started watching during Blessed and Beautiful, told me about your family and we’ve been hooked since. We LIVE it when you kindly correct people when they advise (such as how to talk to Parker [sugar plum muffin]or saying Joe’s name a lot!!!) LOVE IT. ❤ I offer up something g I’ve seen lately that we will be doing. We need extra storage in our kitchen. There are videos that you can remove kick plates and put under cabinet drawers and also add additional space to upper cabinets by adding space to top of ceiling. Worked well for us. Love that you read your Bible with the light from the lamp. My grandma had those lamps too but unfortunately, I lost all during the many military moves I’ve gone through. So happy for Parker that he got to shoot his first grouse. God bless you all! Thursdays are now our Home Free Alaska nights!!!

When I saw Joe taking P out to set up the snares, I watched P’s face and saw the joy that he had being with his Dad and the special moments. It melted my heart. Again, I saw the look on both Dad and him with something else they were doing together. My first thought was how blessed P is having both of you home and spending good quality time with him. I felt in my spirit how so many children do not have this type of quality with their children. God bless each of you in all you do. Will your daughter make it home for Christmas. I do have a suggestion on giving your unwanted things away. There is a place called Turn A Leaf just up from the Wasilla Post Office on the right. They give back to the community the things that are donated. They use the money to help the community, too. When my late husband needed things like wheelchair, comod, ect, they let us use them for nothing. They resell things very reasonable. If you look on internet goodwill CEO's make a fortune and they have raised prices for those purchasing the donated item. Just a thought.

Bravo, a great inside view of real life and living in Alaska. The cabin decorations are great and could be located anywhere
in the world. Joe is a treasure and a man of many talents that he picked up outside his Coastguard career. Setting rabbit snares and grouse hunting brings back some really old fond memories. Parker seems to be adapting well to his new environment and the positive effect of no video addiction is apparent. The filming is fabulous, Tina, both inside and outside. Much planning to both do the move and get set up Alaska was necessary and well done by both of you. The sense of humor throughout is a required survival skill in any environment. My mild ADD symptoms disappear while watching your videos. All the best in 2023 and beyond ! 👍🌲✔🙏🏻🎄🧔🏻👩🏻🧑🏻🐕🐕

I found you guys about 10 days ago, I love your channel. I think Parker is going to learn so much about living besides being home schooled. He’s going to grow up with so much knowledge, you both are great parents. I wish you nothing but the best in the coming years and continue what you’re doing.❤️

Sis you can get new lantern parts at Lehman’s. They have everything for living off grid! They’re online and have a brick and mortar store. You can get pure paraffin oil so you won’t put toxins in your air. ❤

Paraffin is a petroleum distillate. Kerosene is a type of paraffin oil. They all emit things like toluene, benzene, and CO.

So beautiful! I bet the tree smelled amazing!! The real tree stock there sure looks a lot nicer than what’s available in the Midwest! Haven’t seen any that nice here. First Christmas in your new cabin will be such a special time. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us!

Oh my goodness Tina! You're an absolute riot!!! We're sitting here rewinding because we're laughing so hard at you!!! 😂 When you kept saying Joe Joe even more than you usually say Joe 😂 I said I bet somebody told her she says Joe too much( you don't) and so she's running with it!! And like a minute later you said that's exactly what happened! Lol YOU GO GIRL! So glad you don't let them tell you how to play with your husband or raise your baby. And the cross eyed face when you took that drink hilarious 😆. Love the beautiful white Alaskan Christmas 🎄⛄. We can't wait to see Alaska 🏔️ in our travels. God bless 🙏

I always think it is so funny when you say Joe a lot. LOL Especially since he is such a chatterbox. I don't know how you get a word in with him around. :) Your cabin is looking so cozy and wonderful. Happy holidays!

You can try, disposable hand warmers both in mitten and boot,we're in lo teens now with little snow as well, and this is earliest we've had to use them. And because your eco friendly you might use mini, mini rice bags, they are warm but only a short time. Just keep warm , and enjoy the bright shiny days !

When we retired to the home we built, 200 miles away from where we lived for 35 years. We could not find our 28 pound cast iron tree stand. We bought countless plastic totes and labeled them all for all our belongings. Since we downsized so much, we could not find this family treasure until 4 years later! This will be our first Christmas using this tree stand in our new home. The joys of moving and downsizing!🎄😀😀🐾🐾

I also use vintage lamps when the power is out especially. I am from the Adirondack mountains in NY. I also follow my grandparents with using antiques in everyday life. I get+ have gotten lamp parts from the Old Forge Hardware in Old Forge NY. They have the strangest things. All kinds of homemade pack baskets, and things like that. Hope you find your ornaments.
