Man. My grandpa was in ww2 I recorded him for about an hour and a half a few months before he passed talking about ww2. It was the only time he ever spoke about it to me and I think you boys would take some real joy in listening to the recording.

They knew the Akagi, the flagship carrier that attacked Pearl Harbor, was going to be there. They have an interview with the lead pilot who spotted, and then was the first to dive bomb the ship. Imagine what it felt like to be THE guy who got to get revenge for the bois at PH. Chills down my spine when I think about it. BIG salute

The pic Walter shows the camera that he got from the enemy shows the Japanese army "testing" their swords on condemned prisoner's. Super messed up to do that but at the same time it'd make it easier to shoot them 😆 Walter was awesome.
