Another great video, especially since this is the most complicated of the roles! Go go go! Two minor clarifications, especially since you're correct on these rules in other places. @9:20 - The Spider doesn't generate Blood from Eggs, but rather tends her Eggs with Blood. @20:45 - You mention that the Giant Spider can target her space or adjacent spaces. She can only target adjacent spaces-she's giant to the point of being unwieldy!-except when laying an Egg.
@@Quackalope Also, you misstate the rule on "Tend." It's only one blood per tile, not per egg, with an egg on it. You can only hatch one egg per set of tokens, unless you've collected enough for both (but you would never choose to do so). boardgamegeek.com/thread/2310610/spider-questions
So clarifications on the rules for the Spider + erratas. Veil + Eyes blood farming combo: Yes, you can just Veil an empty blood room, then Eyes it to gain and spawn a blood token easy-peasy. But it's not infinite. You need to spend a card in your hand to Veil the tile, then spend another card to cast Eyes. On top of that it has to be an EMPTY tile in order to Veil. Blood tokens, eggs, the Sorcerer, webs, other player's tokens, treasure tokens- they ALL prevent a room from being empty. In order for a room to be empty, it must be void of ALL pieces, including markers. (Note that they affect an EDGE, but I'm unsure if they affect only one tile's edge or if it bleeds over to the next tile. Connected edges could arguably have both an open edge and a wall, so neither marker could stay on those pair of tiles due to the rules forcing it to destroy itself) Blood Token placement + Tend: The Sorcerer can be *anywhere* on the map to activate Tend. However, she targets the TILES, not the EGGS. For each TILE with an egg, she places 1 blood token on that tile. So if you have 2 eggs in one spot, she only places 1 blood token. IMPORTANT: If an egg is on the same space as a blood token, you cannot collect nor remove said token. This is true by either placing the blood token with an egg as the Sorcerer, or by placing an Egg in a blood room as the Giant Spider. Scare: When you have 6 or more webs on the map, you only need to discard 1 card from your hand at the start of your turn to generate 1 Terror (And only once per turn). The webs STAY! This is why it is super important for everyone to start clearing away the webs when they can. This can be an easy farm for the Spider if every web is far enough away from everyone else. Spiderlings Movement rule: During the turn you've chosen the form of the Spiderling, you can only cast spells before and after a spiderling starts/completes its movement, not during. Flipping the spiderling upside-down will help mark that it is done moving for the turn. So you can cast Web, move 2 Spiderlings 1-4 spaces each (flip them over to show they're done), cast Fangs, move 1 Spiderling, cast Eyes, move the last 2 remaining Spiderlings, cast another Web, then spend 1 card to move up to 5 different Spiderlings 1 space EACH. The move given by discarding a spell from your hand is different from the one given to each Spiderling for free. Remember: you must complete ALL instances of movement between spells. Spiderlings' Tiny Trait + 'Figure' vs 'Token' vs 'Marker': Tiny prevents enemies from being forced to attack that figure. A 'forced attack' is most notably done from moving into a room with an enemy figure (an 'enemy' is defined as a piece that does not belong to you, and 'figure' is a cardboard STANDEE or plastic MINIATURE, not 'tokens' or 'marker'. This includes Phantoms, the Paladin, Skeletons, and the Spider in Giant Spider and Sorcerer forms. It also includes Spiderlings and eggs, however Tiny prevents this forced attack, and same idea applies to the Warlock and the Wraith with Ethereal). However note that the Paladin's Crusade ability is its own power, meaning it does not fall under the 'forced attack' definition. This is how a Paladin is able to Crusade to move into a space with a Spiderling or egg figure and attack. The reason why blood tokens and webs are removed when someone moves over them (except for the Warlock and Wraith) is because 1 of EACH 'enemy' token is removed upon moving into that space. That means the Paladin Crusades INTO the tile, REMOVES 1 each of a blood token and a web token, THEN attacks an egg. So yes, an egg's defense decreases by 1 every time the Paladin (or anyone that is affected by 'enemies' normally) enters that space. Be sure to distinguish between those three terms.
about the spiderlings movement: you give an example where the spider can play 6 cards in a turn, which wasn't your point, but just to be clear, doesn't happen. Also, when you say "all instances of movement must be completed between spells", it makes it seem like you can't start or finish a turn using a movement, which is incorrect. their rule of movement only stops you from being able to do partial movement with a spiderling, casting a spell, and then finishing the movement of that spiderling.

this one is probably the most complicated of the roles, but this game is definitely not more complicated than the original. there's probably less than half of the edge-case situational rules in this game vs the Crystal Caverns
Looking at the rules as written, it really looks like the 'Tend' spell would only put down one blood per tile with eggs, regardless of how many are on the tile. Otherwise, the spell is broken. You could walk over to a multi-egg tile, cast tend to spend one blood to put down two - three on blood on that tile, pick up all the blood for no cost (per the 'Other Rules' section on picking up blood), then cast Tend again. Repeat until you have as much blood as you like, gaining at least 1 free blood per iteration. With the 'one blood per tile, period' interpretation, you cannot cheese the system for infinite* free blood in one turn. * Well, infinite as limited by the count of blood tokens in the game.. So like, 15 blood per turn, max.
