I have this range and really like it. Over the years, I've had all kinds of ranges from propane to gas to electric to induction. Because we now like on a lake, we cannot have gas so we chose induction when we remodeled. I was sad to lose our Thermador gas 36" range, but I am adjusting well to this new one. It does have a learning curve that's fairly steep but is simple once learned. I do have it paired with a Wolf convection-steam oven which I use daily. Yes, it is expensive but I banked on Miele's reliability and service protection.

99% of us can’t afford this but we could always dream. Thank you.

I was looking at this range 2 years ago. The price has gone up $2.5-3.0 k … insane … I’ll likely go with Bosch instead

My god this range is STILL the most beautiful to me… followed by Wolf for their nostalgic red knobs. I’ve wanted a Miele Induction 30” range since they first came out. It’s the damn price tag that keeps me away. I had the opportunity to by one for 1/2 price once. It was only 2 years old and in mint condition. I regret not getting it. Every… single…. day!

Now that the HR 1422 is an option, what is your take on eliminating the steam and M touch for a 25% price drop?

Depends...If you like to bake bread or cook meats than the M Touch is a great option

I have wolf induction loved the oven until technicians came over to fix the burners, the larger burner has much less power than smaller ones, the steam is destroying my cabinets and we were told not to use burners on high, wolf wants to send me dual instead apparently if the product they send you is defective, it’s ur fault

It’s almost doubled in price since I bought mine 5 years ago. I Wouldn’t pay 9k for it . Just buy an induction cooktop instead and add m touch wall ovens. I rarely use the steam function on the induction range but use my wall steam oven daily.

The question I have on each of these ranges/cooktops is what are the actual dimensions of the individual inductors that are under the glass. That matters just as much, if not more than the output. I can never get a straight answer on this question.

is downdraft ventilation acceptable with this type of induction range? Also Jenn-Air is over 7 cu ft (best in class for 30 inch induction range)

Is Miele coming out with a 36 or 48" induction range anytime soon? If so:have they announced when yet?
I have been slow rolling my decision on the appliances waiting for more options than the handful available at each size...

I’m probably going with the Fischer Paykel Induction range. I’m surprised it wasn’t included as a comparison.

I like the F&P in 36. The oven is small in 30 inch

Would you rank this over the wolf induction range? Any feel for which one is more reliable?

Different...First we have to pretend Wolf is available. But interfaces, MasterChef and Gourmet excel. Miele has steam functionality while Wolf has a better convection system.
The new Wolf controls are awesome.....but they are not available, so we will see.
My answer: Depends on how and what you cook

I’m not sure the price point is worth the benefits to a regular home cook. I’d feel guilty about going out to eat every time!

How come Miele does not have a 36” model?

Will you do a review for a induction stove tops?

not sure why anyone would want to drop that kind of money on such a basic ,cold, industrial and small stove. I'm not at all sure that we are sold on induction yet. Most people in this country seem satisfied with radiant electric (the majority) and gas. I am 70 and am a gas fanatic (including heating, water heating, grillingoutdoors,etc.). Would love to "come back " one hundred years from now to see what everyone is using to cook daily food (LOL)> CHEERS
