Ali, I just bought you a week of coffee -- Enjoy! Your review here is awesome!! You demonstrated many great features, in a very gutsy environment (19 stories, clothesline with rugs, narrow passages, updrafts, etc). I'm going to post a number of comments on specific topics which I hope you can bring to the manufacturers attention. The model is pricey, and beautiful, but the only thing keeping it from being GORGEOUS: paint the windows green/blue "glass" color instead of black, which blends in too much with the nose and intake hardware colors. Oh, and full disclosure: I'm a complete newb on this topic, so take my other comments with a grain of salt.

All the RTH and fencing is really cool. The only thing lacking to "finish it out" would be some level of obstacle avoidance. Where I live, 100' pine trees are not at all unusual. I'd be worried that RTH (whether invoked by me, or by low-battery condition) might end up with the chopper stuck 6 stories high in a tree before it actually ended up "home".
hahaha very true. it just rises to 10 meters before returning to home. i am sure those beautiful trees are taller than that.

Your assessment about their proprietary lock-in on the radio is spot-on. It concerns me that there's no support for 3rd-party/open radio specs.
Agreed, it will be a point for many to put it off from their list. hope they make it to bind with TX16S and they could have sold another truck load of PNP versions

Another nice review Ali, love this model and would love one in my hangar but can't fit it in cost wise at the moment. I have had to settle for a Yu Ziang F120 as an addition to my micro collection.
Totally agree, price point is high for now. we all know it. but what drives prices up, we all know that very well. F180 V2 is coming out soon. with GPS

Mr. Ali, please do not postpone your trip to visit your mother! Life is very fast and what we take from this short travel on Earth are the best and special moments beside our beloved ones.
So, I have some questions that follow below. Thanks in advance for the answers.
1. When RTF is requested, is it possible to choose a specific RTH ALTITUDE?
2. Can we limit height and distance?
3. Is the geofence activated only when the battery is low? (20m height and 20m distance)?
4. Can we see the level of the aircraft battery on the RC? If yes, is it presented in voltage, % or both?
5. If signal is lost, will it return to home? Waiting for the test you said in the video you are going to do.
My considerations:
Yuxiang is delivering the wonder of contemplating a nice scale helicopter, just seat on the chair and keep staring at this beauty hovering in the air and sometimes you give it a throttle up and go for a ride at the surroundings of your scenario.
For those who want a nice and safe fpv camera with excellent cost benefit, please buy yourself a DJI MINI SE, 2 ou 3 and you will be fine, go much further along with an excellent HD or FULL HD transmission quality on your mobile, tablet, VR goggles or on MINI 3 on the RC screen.
Like the real size one, it stays hovering in place. And of course, we can fly away with a little bit more confidence not worrying too much of losing the orientation.
Going back in time, we have this possibility since DJI launched its GPS heli controller around 2010. I could see myself at a Park in North London, a giant TREX 700 carrying an enormous gimbal with a bulky DSLR on it, but we are talking about a piece of technology costing around 40 thousand Pounds at this time.
And of course it is important to mention about the RC FLY WING 450 GPS BELL 206 which is a nice heli as well, I would say a very good option to the F 09-S.
I personally would go for the F09-S because of it’s nice looking fuselage as well as the lighting already installed on it, and of course I couldn’t forget about the DIRECT DRIVE system which is a far better one than the old gears and pinions…

Quick question is it possible to charge the E200 Blackhawk batteries on the UH-60 Coast guard charger with the white balance charger and can you mix and match both batteries between the both helis?
no you can't
The FPV is kind of cute, but what is the resolution? I think if they offered an option to save 4K (or even just 1080p) to on-board SD card, it could be a much more compelling offer than an FPV with limited range.

Ali 1) what mode is used to fly the helicopter like a helicopter and 2) does this have the regular Yuxiang "6 Axis gyro/self leveling"? These modes and capabilities are confusing....I just want to fly it.....LOL
its always in self leveling mode. just that optical flow and gps will turn off in manual mode, but rest it never switches to rate mode.
The Circle POI feature is pretty cool. You didn't demonstrate the "Heart" pattern, which is understandable because I just don't understand the use-case for such a pattern. Perhaps if they replaced that with some other pattern, or an option to fly a user-defined pattern (e.g. figure-8) or better yet, a "follow me" feature, that would be much more compelling.
Thats what I kept on telling the factory. please replace the pointless heart flight feature with something more useful. like figure 8 flight in flywing H1 GPS helicopters.

I do not know what is new in the FPV LCD Screen section. i mostly use goggles for now. these screens i just use for quick testing. before there were many but now seems not too many choices on LCD screens. i'd suggest get a good goggles

Ali, have you tried to put the canopy of the Black Hawk version on this? I DON'T see why it wouldn't just change over without a problem, considering they are both 1:47th scale, and they are both made by the same company, the only differences are the radio and this one has the GPS Receiver. I haven't seen what the differences are with the canopy/shell is off on either one, but I have to think they are identical, except for the receivers. Please let me know, thanks.
I thought so too. but as i have both helis, i never felt the need to change the shells. they should fit just fine
Does compass calibration have anything to do with GPS mode? Selecting GPS mode alone isn't enough ?
yes of course. it needs heading for GPS right?
Actually it is not a Blackhawk for the coast guard, it is instead a modified Jayhawk which known as a SeaHawk and it is a bit technical to know the differences between all three. So most people just call it a Blackhawk.
Any way, fantastic bird, and the same company makes the F108 V2 in this same setup.
I agree Ali, needs to be TX16s bind for sure.

In this case, he is more correct calling it a Blackhawk. The most obvious visual difference between Blackhawk and Seahawk/Jayhawk is the position of the tail wheel. On Blackhawk the tail wheel is under the vertical fin, whereas on Seahawk/Jayhawk the tail wheel is under the aft cabin ahead of the tail boom.
In the case of this rc model, they just used the Blackhawk model (with tail wheel under the vertical fin) and painted it in MH-60 Jayhawk colors. Therefore he's not wrong calling it a Blackhawk with fancy paint.

it will, but if its close to you, it will land, and if far, it will activate RTH

I want to see some testing of the flight times of the battery after 20 flights or 40 flights. Or whatever you decide to see how long these batteries will last before having to buy a replacement battery. Also I can't find any video that shows how high it will fly. Please tell company to blink the tail rotor light. They are not steady on a helicopter.

these are their safety settings, it must have all sats locked to fly. or else you can fly in manual mode like having a 6G. no need sats then

Otherwise wherever it is WHEN IT DOES GET A LOCK will be the RTH home point - and if that is over a busy road intersection or the river THAT is where your toy is headed if you have a RTH event! 🙄😱

I read that it has an 8-channel remote. What are channels 7 & 8 used for? Can the remote be used on other aircraft such as eachine E120S, E150, or E180? Also, is it truly Cyclic? Can you select the head speed RPM?
yes its 8 channel. they use them for flight modes. i do not know if you can use this remote for other helis. you can't select or change head speed. there is no programming in radio
Hi Ali, Patrick here. Pretty awesome heli there. You ever notice that scale helicopters are always so fragile? I'm talking about ones these size, anyway. I can't believe your son has gotten so big. They grow up so fast, don't they? He is very handsome, you must be very proud of him. How is your wife doing these days? I was a bit saddened to hear you speak of your family and how much you miss them, especially your mom. Have you ever thought of taking a trip back home to see your family? I lived far away from my mom, and it wasn't easy for me either.
Hello Patrick, yes time flies, they are growing up fast. well i crashed my UH-60 before twice but it still flies really well, not much damage except fuselage cracked.
yes I am trying to bring mom here to China to live with us. going back home is not an option for now, due to many reasons that I can't discuss.

true, its still slow. I will test the speed in manual mode later and see what speed I can get.
Do you think it could be a good think to buy this one first and then the black hawk later or finally, this one could be a remix from the two helicopters ?
If you have not flown helis before, you can buy this one, or another GPS helis. if you got skills, then just go with blackhawk

This is Lynn and I have finally received my See Hawk after watching you video. I hope you can answer a few questions I have.
I have try hovering it in my house in the basement. I tried to use the trimming bottoms and I get no response from them. I’m hovering in Auto low mode. Can you help me?
normally these 6G or GPS helicopters do not need trimming. because they will hold position using the optical flow and GPS. make sure to power on and immediately put the helicopter to a leveled surface so gyro can initialize properly

Love the reviews on all the products you do. Can I ask this.....when taking this machine to another flying spot does it require another calibration of the GPS...or once done it then picks them up where ever it is flown from.

if you go to a new spot just do a GPS calibration. on this one, it so quick and easy to calibrate GPS like a drone, no need PC or Assist program unlike FlyWing H1 helicopter gps controller. which requires a laptop to calibrate GPS on field. I hope Flywing can also make it easier to calibrate compass just like this one.
@@alishanmao Might pay to NOT call it a "GPS Calibration" Ali! I know very well that you understand fully that this is a "Compass Calibration" only but Noobs certainly don't. No point filling their heads with misinformation first up. 😉
And Nigel, it is generally best to do a "Compass Calibration" for each new location even if not mandatory. For instance there will be tons of wiring and steel reinforcing affecting the compass it this location - but B-all in a nearby natural grassy park. (EXCEPT maybe for underground pipes etc!) AND keep magnetic materials like phone and tablet flip cases or steel - but not stainless steel - jewelry away from it when doing it! 😊

After I do a compass calibration I get a flashing red light ....is it supposed to keep on flashing red light when flying ? Or is it supposed to have a solid green light while flying note I had 15 satellites when I did the compass calibration thats my guesting bud?
after compass calibration, restart and see if it turns solid green? flashing red can be the low battery?

only first time when you get it. or when you change a place far from your original place.
I got the heli. The coast guard blackhawk does not take off with the army blackhawk batteries. I also noticed that the FPV camera is also not working with the army blackhawk batteries.
yes, they are different batteries, factory warned not to use black hawk batteries with SeaHawk. it can damage or explode batteries LOL. so do not try those
The newer ("smart"???) batteries probably have a thermistor and proving circuitry associated with them and the new heli won't kick in until it can "see" it.
27:02 is the manual mode still come with auto-leveling?
or it need to give continuous input like 3D helicopter?
yes it will always be in Auto leveling. that means 6G is always on. never switches to 3D. just turns off optical flow and gps

Awesome video, as always! Question: Is this helicopter considered toy grade or hobby grade? You made a comment about the Eachine E200 being “hobby grade” because it didn’t have altitude hold. This has altitude hold and cannot do 3D, so is it toy grade or hobby grade?
It doesn’t really matter to me. I am just curious because I am an FPV drone enthusiast, but new to RC helicopters.
By the way, I ordered this because of the FPV capability. I used your code, however I had to add a “US” at the end for US dollars after contacting customer support (RCG22112US). Also, the RCG22111 code is for $1,000 or more.
its a hobby grade / drone grade :) and they are adding more features before production models role out, like inverted flight

Hi Ali, have you tried expert inverted mode?
The instructions came with the heli. “In GPS MODE and the flight altitude is above 10 meters, press the Mode button and the helicopter will enter the reverse preparation state, the helicopter will reverse according to the direction of the joystick. Reverse flight operates in the opposite direction as normal flight (joystick up-helicopter down, joystick forward- helicopter backward.”
This sounds like 3D flying to me. Your thoughts?
An absolute pointless feature to add. I have emphasized to them many times, no one needs this feature on this helicopter. They did it on F180 V2 (Which is basically a direct drive 3D Helicopter E180) Previously and it is fine. but with scale helis this is absolutely pointless. yes i have tested it, it works but controls are very confusing. try it at your own risk buddy. my video will come later on this. because i do not find this feature to be worth emphasizing with an immediate video

@@ZabDevin its not 3D. its just you can turn your heli upside down and fly it in that state. which is again pointless to do with a scale rc helicopter. and it will do this auto invert only if its over 10m altitude and you have full battery. if battery is on first low level you can't activate this feature nor auto circle or heart features. now i do not know and i did not test it. what if you are inverted and your battery goes low? will you be able to flip it back to normal or you have to land it inverted LOL hahahaha. please try it at your own risk

I bought the Black Hawk Coast Guard helicopter after watching your video. I’m having problems with it. It will power up but when I move the throttle up for take off the rotor speed won’t speed up for take off.
I hope you can help me. I live in Lansing, Michigan USA.
you will need to finish the compass and gyro calibration outdoors, and then it should be fine to take off. to take off, when the rotors start spinning, you will have to increase the pitch, Push up on throttle stick, and it will take off.

I just got my F09-S.
I’m trying to charge the batteries. In the user manual it say when the battery is in the charger and the charger is purged into the white YU XIANG with the digital display. It say a red like should be blinking red light is on the light will be blinking. When the charging is done the red light will stop blinking.
I can not find a red light anywhere. The only thing is a digital read out. How do I know it is fully charged?

just the digital read out, it will say FULL on the screen once batt is charged. and please, stay with battery all the time when charging. there is a guy who already said his BlackHawk (not F09S) battery actually exploded LOL so never leave batteries charging unattended

can you bind this to a diffrent transmitter and then do 3d flight?
if it cannot do 3d flight then i couldn't care what features it has. i won't buy it.
and seeing as i have it in the basket right now. i need to know if this thing can do 3d flight.
(if the flight controller on the helicopter does not allow it regardless of what transmitter you use then this helicopter is something i will not buy. and i'll buy the e200 instead. and then buy this fpv camera sepperatly)

@@darkracer1252 3D in helicopters world means where helicopter flight controller switches to Rate mode and gives pilot total control over how to perform complex aerobatics, going inverted by one click is just an auto invert feature, its not called 3D. its just a auto invert feature nothing else. so its not a 3D helicopter. though its a collective pitch. hope it helps. i have done the video of showing how to fly it inverted as well. if you somehow missed it on my channel?

no i hadn't seen any other video of you with this particular helicopter. i simply searched for "F09-s" video's on youtube from all creators.
it can be collective pitch but if it's not powerfull enoegh to fly upside down then there is no hope of ever doing it.
while right now the only thing stopping you, is software.
but from your comment i understand that even if i bind it to a futaba radio. i still would only be able to simply flip it up side down and not do actual 3d flight.
and that for full 3d flight (wich i thought was called acrobatic flight) i would need to replace the flight controller in the helicopter.

How would you compare this to the FW450. These are the only two GPS RTF helicopters I know of. Would definitely be interested in a comparison video.
These are in smaller scale. FW450 is on a bigger scale. and thats what she said, bigger is better. right 😂

@@alishanmao Ali hope they make the body better on the Huey with more realistic coloring. V3 Jet Ranger/206 has black windows and the screen turbine vents are filled in. they cheapen it!
@@goldenmanuever1176 it seems they did a very good job on body but main rotor head is 4 blade. hahahah. original huey has 2 blade rotor head. hope they can keep 2 blades.

Hi Ali, l need your help,l brought this heli,yet it didn’t fly, the light underneath the propeller blinking in yellow, didn’t turn to green, is it binding problem, how could l solve it? The aileron and elevator work proper, only the motor does not spin up, l turn to manual , it spin a while only then shut off automatically! Thank in advance. More over, l test inside my house, is it related to it couldn’t get the gps signal so that it couldn’t bind correctly?
inside there will be no GPS signal, you can only fly in Manual mode or ATT mode. no gps mode. it will not start. in ATT Auto or Manual Mode it will start and fly. after motor starts, you have to push throttle up so it can take off
@@alishanmao l tried toogle to optical mode, no responses, the light flash only, when l tried to use manual, the motor spin couples second, then stop again, it still can’t fly. I have consulted the seller, they told me to reset the gyro and compass, l will try it out after work tomorrow, suppose the it was calibrated success before it ship to customer, and play right out the box.
@@netericw1964 noooo they are not calibrated. you have to calibrate compass no matter indoor or outdoor. calibrate compass, initialize gyro outdoors and you should be fine to fly it. its easy process.

Beautiful UH-60 Coast Guard heli. I just purchased and want to know how do you charge the battery...the manual is not helpful. Do you charge with the battery off and just monitor until the display on the white balance/Charger goes up to 12.0 Volts. For example I started charging at 11.3 Volts and went up and stood at 12.0 Volts (within 20 minutes)....Upon turning on the battery to Check the bars...I saw 4 bars. Is this how you charge the battery..Did I do it correctly
until display says Full.

I have the Eachine 200 Blackhawk...I'm noticing that it's taking over 2 hours to charge it's battery...is this normal, and how long should it take...it came from the factory with 2 bars?

I want to say yesterday July 8th I ordered the fpv combo helicopter through using your link. I just looked at my invoice and I did not receive any discounts I am so upset. It's difficult to communicate with these people the only communication is email and there's a lot of lag time between messages. yes I thought like you did too and so many will. but they know this very well so they won't release the body / shell for sale. if they did, all of us the owners of Army Version BlackHawk UH60 will be super happy to swap bodies. but then they won't be able to sell this version at all, right?
maybe if they released this as a modular version where we have different shells available to purchase, and this can be PNP with other radios, then it will be a hot selling model.

When you say they wouldn't be able to sell the new one if they offered the body separately, it is an admission that the new one is vastly inferior. As you say, they wouldn't be able to sell the F09S at all!!!!

@@RARenfield Hey buddy, these are just my ideas, because previously i spoke to some factories about releasing new shells for sale for their models so people can change appearances and they can sell lots of shells. but my idea was not welcomed at all. that is why I expressed my thought here as well (They are not coming from factory at all) but just my own two cents that they may not release only shells for previous blackhawk model. because they are more interested to sell this model. i am just being honest with you and with all the followers and that is why i do not hide anything in the review. yes its glowing that i introduce a new RC Helicopter that is a good addition to GPS helis and competition to other GPS helis in market. but you see i gave much info that other reviewers will simply skip with a smile.
I have spoken to manufacturers, not just this but others as well about the ideas of releasing PNP versions, releasing different shells for same model as add ons, but you see, in the end its all their decision. because for them, as a manufacturer they stuck a lot of money in a model and they need to sell it and earn profits. thats how the business goes right. thank you for your communication. :)

@@RARenfield Maybe they just do not know about my experience in RC Field and my connections to millions of people, where i can get them the right feedback to a product that is wanted by so many out there, that will sell hot, or maybe they just want to follow their own idea. They already have the mold for shells. all they need to do is produce more shells. set a good price on those. bundle a helicopter with two shells. many variations. imagine buying one blackhawk that comes with 3 different easy to change shells and appearances. people will pay more than 600 700 dollars for those because they know they are getting a good deal. well hope they understand our ideas. and make right decisions.

it was very first sample came out of factory, later flight controller settings were optimized, and my helicopter was sent back for settings, if you check my later flight videos, after optimization you can see it has been resolved.

This is definitely not worth the $600 price.. I have the DJI mini and it’s has all the features this copter has and more .. u get 30min flight time higher and longer distances btr real time HD camera and $200 cheaper!! So if anything buy the dji drone and save $200 and with btr features!!

@@alishanmao keep in mind that I am comparing 2 aircraft’s for the price and capability you’re using a total different comparison.. motorcycles and cars.. now if you had used a car vs a Jeep it would of sounded btr being that one has off road capabilities and the other doesn’t.. that’s wat I’m trying to say .. longer flight time further distance and a 4K camera..
