The Coast Guard version is called the Jayhawk, not a Blackhawk. My neighbor in Sitka, AK was a CG pilot and flew them. Cool bird!
At 600.00 way over priced .for that cost 2nd hand or a lil more u can buy a nice dji drone and get more bang for ur buck
In the RC Hobby world, people who are looking for a DRONE do not buy a HELICOPTER, and the same is true that if one is looking for an RC HELICOPTER they are not looking for a DRONE, so one should never mention both in the same sentence. Kind of like saying... WOW for the price of that helicopter I can buy 12 cases of banannas!!!! So, when compare the price of a HELICOPTER, one would then compare it to the price of a similar HELICOPTER with similar specs.

As a prior USCG H60 mechanic/aircrew, I approve 🙂 pretty cool.
It does need four tail rotor blades instead of two and a hoist and the external fuel tanks for accuracy. Would be cool to see it fly over water.

@D R Yep. I seriously doubt that optical flow will work any better with 1 big and 1 little rotor disturbing the surface of the water rather than 4 smaller ones! 😉
As to "GPS accuracy is worse on the Z axis" I don't know about this model but most of these Senior Citizen's Toys use an onboard barometer for height control. 😊
Also (though I may have missed mention of it in the video) the quick badly focused look at the Destruction Manual seemed to show that the Transmitter could be easily switched between left and right throttle control and 2 Rates are also available. Not exactly sure what the "up" position of the switch 5 is for either. The Manual's description of its operation is the usual Chinglish Clear As Mud! 🙄

it is way too much money… A six axis Gyro with optical flow is good enough for a beginner. You don't even need optical flow outdoors. I just looked Bang Good 700+ dollars… You can spend your money way better than this. PS I watched your video on the RC era 500 and it's a better value… So I bought one 200 bucks that's Canadian non-American. So imagine that's about $146 US and you yourself can't deny it's a way better deal it even looks sportier. But I know you have to show the things off at your job. But I'm here for your viewers that they should not by this

Way over priced! I like it, I'd love to own one but I refuse to pay what they are asking! For the 3 battery version, it's $650+. The DJI Mini 2 with Fly More Combo is on sale for $509 which is a STEAL! If I'm paying this much I would expect the range of the helicopter to be at least 2 km or more. I would also expect a phone holder and live video feed to the phone. The technology is here and it's come down in price a lot. If you don't have a drone and you are thinking about getting one of these, you are wasting your money! Get yourself a DJI Mini 2 or a Mini 3 Pro base model with the basic RCN1 controller. Or, get a Mini 3 (not pro) or wait for the Mini 4, it's almost here.
Slithh- Yea but drones don’t give the scaled down real life experience that helis do. I enjoy the landing, picking up (imaginary) passengers and scale type flying that drones just can’t offer since there aren’t 1:1 passenger drones yet

well Steve it look's better than the other which i bought first flight broke whale fin then wheel shock near side red light wire broke came to take it apart a lot of screws missing to split body, i wonder why there was a bag full of screws cost to much to send it back what a load of rubbish did complain but not heard any thing but this one looks great.

I promise you it can crash, it did so on the maiden. It was flying great, then all of the sudden it took over and started hovering over the roof of my house- I was powerless to do anything. Then it nosed into the roof and destroyed itself, busted fuselage, landing gear, servo horns and blades. No idea why it did this.
I just got this helicopter. So far so good.
Do you know if I could fit crossfire to it at all?

How do you know this thing is not spying for the CCP? All those camera sensors etc., great way to provide data for the CCP!
nice video i am thinking about getting a helicopter like the one your are flying,but my purpose is to fly slow take off and land make circles and get use to the helicopter and become a good pilot,i do not like flying fast because of my eye problem so nice and slow as she goes mr. spark.and another thing a beginner needs to learn the basic of ground work,setting the gps and calibrate the transmitter before take off.

Ali shimano did this review and this copter is not worth the $600 wen the battery flight time is jus 8min which makes the flight height and time limited.. my dji mini drone has a 30 minute flight time and a range of bout 2 miles all around and it’s $200 cheaper
Please don't compare a drone to a helicopter. Apples and Oranges. GPS Camera drones are always compared to GPS Camera drones. RC Helicopters are always compared to RC Helicopters. It's like me saying for the price of your Mini, I can get an awesome RC Plane that goes twice as fast as your mini! See... kinda makes no sense.

Wow the micro RC heli's have advanced light years in just 5 years real time. I still have the Syma indoor helis (coaxial) from years ago and I thought they were awesome. I may have to jump back into it with one of these $500+ rigs. LOL

Why does RC helicopters and Planes fly 🪰 for a small short of time when drones can fly up to 30 minutes and now the new Dji mini 3 can fly up to 50 minutes on one batterie..🤷♂️ can't they make better batterie nowadays for these RC helicopters and Planes because I would love and enjoy to owning one...
Excellent observation brother, we want to be in the air way longer and enjoy our helicopters at least for 20 to 30 minutes.

It is because a GPS drone (like DJI) is designed for someone with no experience. For this reason there are 4 motors that spin slow and use very little power. A true FPV drone has motors that spin at high speed for instant power and low flight time. A helicopter has but one motor, but with large blades, that spins at a high RPM and an RC plane only has one motor that also spins at high RPM.
Is it a Blackhawk in the Coast Guard variant? You’d think it would be a Seahawk like the Navy variant. Great video. Looks like you need to start finding homes for all those aircraft. Should raffle off to your subscribers. Thanks for all the info!!

Beautiful UH-60 Coast Guard heli. I just purchased and want to know how do you charge the battery...the manual is not helpful. Do you charge with the battery off and just monitor until the display on the white balance/Charger goes up to 12.0 Volts. For example I started charging at 11.3 Volts and went up and stood at 12.0 Volts (within 20 minutes)....Upon turning on the battery to Check the bars...I saw 4 bars. Is this how you charge the battery..Did I do it correctly
Looks fantastic. I grew up near the Coast Guard base in NC and my neighbor was a rescue copter pilot, so I saw the real blackhawk and dolphin ones a lot. I'll stick to building tiny whoops and my old mavic for filming, but that's a pretty amazing set of features for an RC toy!
i got the blackhawk version of this and it was around $300 iirc.. i think $550 is a bit much for it..
That would be alot of fun from a pro 3D rc helicopter pilot! Which this could be flown by the kids that watch because it can fly it's self if the child doesn't know how hard it is to fly. I've had alot of friends thinking that I would let them try and fly my 90 class 700's no way sorry not trying to hurt your feelings but you would crash it before you knew what happened. But that one I'd allow Friends to fly. ❤️

Hi, anyone knows if the frame is compatible with the military version which does not have gps & optical flow stabilization ? I just found that you can buy the frame from the other version but dont know the compatibility.

Quick question is it possible to charge the E200 Blackhawk batteries on the UH-60 Coast guard charger with the white balance charger and can you mix and match both batteries between the both helis?

I have same one but I did the compass calibration and copy what u did but all I get is the main blades spinning and the tail motor spins but won't take off its like the main rotor spins in idol model kinda slow and then the motors stop ???
That little beast is around 450 €... pretty expensive for a beginner's choice though.

As a former Coastie, the USCG version is a Jayhawk, not a Blackhawk. Same airframe, different accouterments.

Hey captain, love your videos. I would like to ask you a question. I recently purchased the F09-S coast guard helicopter. Fun machine to fly. However, whenever I have to charge a battery, it takes at least 12 hours to fully charge. What could be wrong? Already got hold of a new charger. Same charging result. Could it be defective batteries. They hold a charge, just takes 12 hours to recharge. Any advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Gene
If you use the included battery charger it is a slow charge. I’m guessing you are not familiar with battery charging in the RC hobby. If you use an RC hobby charger plugged into the XT30 cable & balance cable you can then charge the batteries like the rest of us in under an hour.

Can i lift anything with it?? I was looking at a rc CH-47 Chinook but it doesn’t have the gps system and gyro sensors for the same price. I also love how the blackhawk looks aswell.
I lifted a camera. You should NEVER lift anything suspended off the bottom of a helicopter as it will always end in disaster as the helicopter attempts to compensate for the swaying motion.

I see you are using a fatshark FPV goggle to see the cameras image. I just bought a YXZNRC F09-S F180 5.8g Image Transmission Camera but I did not succeed to see the image on my fatshark dominator V2. What settings do I have to use on the camea and on the goggle ? Thanks.

CAPTAIN DRONE (Steve) is that the left hand or right hand throttle version?
You set the Mode since the Left or Right joystick does not drop down as per an FPV drone remote.

I don’t think there is such a thing. The camera has no connection to the transmitter.

I live in Canada. RCGoing has been around for awhile and is like every store in China. All stores in China are great except there is no such thing as North American the CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT, so if you complain about something it has to be for a major issue and don't something you broke yourself. Shipping takes approx 2 weeks.

Can you please tell me how do I set up my DJI mini 2 with my Samsung Galaxy? I have had my mini 2 for 3 months and just can't get it right 😢 my name is Larry.
Go to the DJI DOWNLOADS webpage and download the DJI FLY App and install it on your phone. Then connect your phone to the remote with one of the 3 cables. Power everything on (drone & remote) and open the App and select DJI Mini 2 and follow the instructions to create a DJI account & register your drone & then set it up.

the battery. and charging.
it's a 3s 11.1v battery.
the instructions say that you shouldn't let the battery drop below 11.1v wich doesn't make sence. how can i let it not drop below full charge if i am using it?
also the charger quickly charged it over 12v. how does the charging work.
does it auto turn off the charger? and if so at what voltage.
what voltage does the charger show when the battery is empty enoegh to have made the helicopter return to home.
the instructions don't say anything about it.
infact the instructions don't even know that the balancing charger is in there. it only talks about an led on the charger that you get with the f09 blackhawk (the 3D flight version with green paint)
so the instructions are useless to me.
so seeing as you have owned this thing for a while.

what voltage is concidered full.
what voltage is concidered empty. and what voltage is concidered storage voltage.
It depends what version you have. Some versions come with a small charging tray that you place the battery in, then connect that tray to a USB power source. Other versions have no tray and instead you plug your USB power source direct into the battery. In all cases, the battery knows when it is full and everything shuts off. These are smart batteries and they communicate with the heli to also let the heli know how much voltage is remaining, which is also present on the lights on the battery (hence the reason they exist, so you can see if your battery is fully charged, 75% charged, 50% etc). Storage voltage would be half the lights lighting up.

The Coast Guard doesn't use Blackhawks
Tailwheel is a Blackhawk tailwheel, not a Jayhawk tailwheel.
