- This video is the second part of a four-part series on Competing Risks analysis led by Prof Karen Bandeen-Roche from the Department of Biostatistics at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Baltimore, USA.
It presents the competing risks framework as an analogue to the survival analysis approach in addressing time-to-event data which may be more relevant in many clinical situations in research.

The cause specific competing risk model can be implemented pretty much similar to cox proportional hazard model, except that the baseline hazard rate function is due to cause k, so it’s cause specific.
