I was actually looking for the Kitchen Nightmares "Oceana" episode and notice it's been pulled from UA-cam. This video came up in the search is what led me here. Salute.
I was looking for the same episode in hopes of seeing Ranell aka Supa Cent owner of the multimillion Crayoncase makeup line. I'm very disappointed that it's no longer available.
I ate at Oceana after it was on Kitchen Nightmares. I spoke to one of the waitress' that was on the show. I asked her how much of it was true and she confirmed it all was. She also told me that business had been booming since then. It's located in the French Quarters off Bourbon Street. There are at least 15 other restaurants nearby. The remix hasn't hurt their business. The food is good and so is the atmosphere. But the owners are jerks!
Whenever I've talked to people who have been customers or employees on social media, they've all said the show was accurate. Most of these places close because they're either too far gone, or they revert back to thier pre-Gordon ways
We're on the same page here. I had similar thoughts when I caught the tail end of that ep, but not having seen the complete ep, put it down to "drama engineering."
I ate there in 2013, the food was good but it wasn't really busy and there was a pretty long wait for that food. We ended up eating a bunch off the menu though because the food was great. Nothing was bad.
KN is massively staged. Always has been. It's a TV show first and foremost and Gordon saving the restaurants is a possible bi-product of the show. The reason that Oceana stood up to the show, and others didn't, is because they could afford to. The company own several bars/restaurants and have a lot of money. Other restaurants never had that option. But, you can find a ton of old interviews from previous owners who have spoken out how the show fakes scenes. There's a reason Oceana won the lawsuit in 2011 and there's a reason they won in 2018 too... because KN staged scenes. If it was not true that KN staged scenes, then they could've blown that original 2011 case out of the water. They didn't. I can link to the full and uncut version of the Oceana episode. It is available. The lawsuit states that they have the legal right to show the episode fully - but they don't as it proves how things are faked.
@@DarkSymphony777 I've spent 2.5 years researching and writing a KN book that looks at every restaurant on the show. I have behind-the-scenes info from people who have been on the show and people who made it. I have even been in contact with Rami from this very episode, and he has told me things that I can't legally print in the book because of the lawsuit, but still very interesting stuff that can be told off the record. But yeah, the show fakes a lot of things.
Yeah admittedly. It's been a few year since I saw kitchen nightmares. And even when I did watch the show, I barely remembered oceana. So I had a feeling that when I was trying to remember that I was remembering parts from other episodes. I'm still surprised this is technically the video I have the most comments on
You missed "Hotel Hell" as another Ramsey shake up show that included the hotel with the kitchen problems. Ramsey would not pay anything out of his pocket.. neither would the producer. They always have insurance who would usually pay to defend and or pay for any loss.

Even Rami?
Owners were jerk, chickens.
I wondered why I couldn’t find anything on the restaurant on UA-cam.
While litigation is in progress, they pull it in case they lose and to also keep from contaminating a jury pool.
who is here too after trying to search the Kitchen Nightmares episode?

It wasn't the Nino episode. It was the Moe and Romney Episode.
Darn it. Then again it's been awhile since I saw kitchen nightmares and for most people the only episode they remember is the one Gordon gave up on

Oh Lordy you have all your episodes so mixed up! Wrong names, wrong scenes, wrong quotes... What a mess! It’s ok though, simple mistakes :)
