I owned the original 1200CC V Max , stage 2 dynojet, no baffles, 150 brake at the wheel it was truly outrageous. It would run out of RPM before power and in a straight line leave the fastest of sports bikes in the dust. It was like being strapped to a rocket nor for the faint of heart as in the wrong hands V Max is a dangerous proposition... I'd buy another in a heartbeat, you have to have ridden one to know why. V Max is insanely fast and handles like a bag of cats, but what a rush...
@@jacobhendrickson8935 No doubt. Owned mine in the early 90's. Had it setup on the dyno with KN kit & filter, open pipes and way fewer restrictions in the day. Was a lot of fun but easily a handful, given no ABS, traction control etc. Mine was a US model imported to EU and it was heavily restricted, just about 120 brake at the wheel. Soon fixed that LOL. Great bikes :)
I would love to buy one. There's one feature that scares me and it's not the powerplant. I have an inseam of only 30" and I'm only 5'6". I do own a '17 Harley Breakout Stage 1. I believe the seat height is just 26". I read the VMAX seat height is 30". Could I ride this bike ? I don't want to be on my toes at every light.
@@johnmcaleese8459I'm 5'10" and had no problems, but be mindful V-Max's are heavy with much of the weight in the engine with a fairly low C of G. Best bet is to see if you can find one to sit on as only way to really see. At 694 lb (315 kg) wet it's one you want to tip too much...
02:44 As luck would have it, I already own the Les Paul's and Marshalls so, the only reasonable thing to do, is to acquire the V-Max as I have dreamt of owning one since I first saw one in 1985 at the age of 16. That 2020 2nd gen is irresistible. That's it. I tried really hard to talk myself out of it but, I'm just to convincing.
I have one a 1200 full power and i think i am keeping it. Dont know for how long though as im 73. It has to be ridden with care, saying that i still wring its neck occasionally. R
Good to hear you are still at the controls of the beast. I am a couple years behind you at 67 and I ride an 83 CB1100f. They will have to PRY the keys from my dead cold hands when I'm gone. It's the most powerful bike I own but cannot imagine the power of your VMAX. Always wanted to ride/own one. I hope you have many more miles to travel and thrill seek on your super bike.
I have owned zx12r zx14r zx14 concours, hayabusa, I ALWAYS wanted a Vmaxx its the kind of bike you sit and just stare at..like a beautiful woman..I will have one!l lol..
Very confused about the title, this seems like click bait. There is no mention of anything for a new V Max.
Yes I was a little bit excited at first cause it made me think that they started making them again
yup was too many of these videos on youtube
That's because it's BS , Yamaha discontinued the V-Max in 2020

Buy a gen 2 it’s unbelievable. Way more power than the first gen.
