I understand the concept of the test and why the child is giving logically incorrect answers, but I still find myself rooting for him and just feeling disappointed every time he doesn't get it. Despite the fact that it would ruin the test, I just have an overwhelming urge to help him out.

Don't worry he's probably 15 now and could easily do it correctly.

He can’t stand still or comprehend the questions because he doesn’t care how is this an accurate test

The universe would implode, but before it did, the kid would put the shapes in the wrong colour.

It's a good question, whether the order of games matters (only the first rules stick), or if colour takes priority (easiest thing to "match")

Reminds me of those riddles where there are the words of colors spelled out in different color text and you had to say the name of the color they were in, not the color they said. It is actually really hard. I keep instinctively wanting to read the word instead of saying the color.

Was there a delay between tasks? Is this due to carryover effects?

What does this game evaluate or teach?

Children dont develop the adaptive attention ability until the age of 6-7. So they cant switch the attention from one task to another. This game proves that this theory is accurate :)
