Yes! The sound is cliping on my voice in this video, realized in post it was bad. But I did not have time to start over. Sorry. Next time it will be better. 😊

This is my favorite of all your videos. I appreciate you spending more than cursory time in the rooms. I haven't been to an audio show yet, but the way you described the experience makes total sense. Best of all was your willingness to go with the flow on camera. In my experience everybody forgets words- but you got your message across loud and clear. Good job!

Anyone this excited about a system is contagious. Thanks for a review that was so obviously heartfelt.

Holy Shit - those speakers are like 5 feet deep, and Huge for two woofers and a tweeter. I normally don't like anything that isn't a 3 way set up, but you are right, those things shouldn't have sounded as good as they did. They were awesome. Thanks for the video. Good information and good to know. Always interested in new speaker designs. A little stain and those speakers would look pretty good. And it's true the new speakers are so much more efficient than 20-30 years ago you don't need a 12 inch or 15 inch woofer to create good bass, plus the cabinet design has alot to do with the bass response a speaker can make getting down to the low notes below 50Hz.

These bass mid woofers look like Revelator from ScanSpeak. One of the most prominent, hiel-end drivers some time ago. Sonus Faber used it in very high level models...

Sonus Faber, Wilson audio, and the Sony ssar-1. Then you have all the diy people that use these speakers. Have a bookshelf with the illuminator series myself. Great drivers from scan speak for sure.

I wish I had the time to sit down and listen to that room. I was going only a single days and the room was always full the two times i showed up. Hopefully I get a chance to listen at a later time. Really dig the steampunk look!

Since 2000 in A/V, I've discovered in 2023 that I love thin film tweeters (planar, AMT). I have the GoldenEar BRX.

Those "rods" you were talking about appear to be black iron pipe with a threaded coupling in the middle.....maybe black iron caps on the end. Probably $20 worth for each speaker. Simple, but obviously effective and definitely adds to the entire look. You can find that stuff at any hardware store. Very cool what they did there, and I'm impressed with the whole presentation.

If you want it to last forever, build it with stone. And stone can have very good acoustical properties believe it or not.

True what you are saying about the ear adjustment period. I enjoyed Artist Cloner"s room a lot and it's clearly a system that can be listened for a long period of time at high volume NO problem. But to me this is easily explained by the tonal balance that was to my ear a bit coloured. I think that the the 800-2.5k region is a bit under the overall linearity of the rest. That being said it was a great room. BTW i am friend with Thomas and live on the south shore of Montreal. If you ever wanna come listen to two system we never hear about (at least here in america) you are very welcome :)

I love watching your videos, informative and very witty. Just asking, have you ever tried making an omni directional speaker. Their sound stage is supposed to be very large.

The waf factor is the most complicated and unpredictable hifi spec and subject to the highest volatility without notice.
If I lived with that spec as a first selection criteria, I would not even bother with the torture and I would find another hobby.

super gimmicky industrial design, most of the gadgetry is useless. You can't find out much at shows, proper place to demo is in your own home.
Fyi- Revelators (slit cone) come in 120,150,180mm. They are known for great bass. An MTM with that much separation and a long ribbon tweet is less than ideal.
