I still pack a mini first aid kit. Last month at an all inclusive in Mexico, I scraped my legs on a rock at the beach. I was happy to have a mini neosporin tube and a couple bandages. Saved an embarrassing trip to the lobby for help.
These hints work for cruises too! I ask the steward to put a bucket of ice in my cabin so I can top off my cup wherever I am. That pashmina is also good for visiting cathedrals, mosques, and other sacred spaces. Many also require closed toed shoes!
Your tip for bringing a container to take food from the buffet is spot on. However, I usually bring leftover plastic containers from Chinese take out as they are lighter and won't break in whatever bag you pack them in. I also like to take food down to the beach to enjoy and these work just fine for that too. I know plastic is not the best material for the planet, but if you wash them out and bring them back home you will be doing your part to keep the beaches clean and can use them over again. Works great for messy nachos too
I’m going to an all inclusive in Mexico alone. Your tips have been so great. I’m packing a lightweight food container and small insulated bag as I don’t really like eating alone. So, I can take to my room and store in the fridge if necessary. I bought an insulated bottle too. This is my first time ever packing only carryon, thanks to you. I even bought a Level 8. I bought as many “dry” toiletries as possible. My personal item is a Travel Pro light bag that has a strap to attach to suitcase. Now let’s hope I can lift the suitcase into overhead and my bag fits under the seat. Thanks for helping this senior traveler.
Fabulous useful tips on essential travel hacks - especially the beach bag that doubles as a personal carry on and the thermos that can keep drinks cold or warm.
At one resort my family and I stayed at. When it was time to leave besides giving a tip to the maids, whatever remaining food we had, we also gave them them to the maids. They really appreciated that.
Tummy meds , always ! Especially Imodium. Different food and lots of sun and drinks. Oh, I also bring those little squirt bottles of flavouring with electrolytes to add to a bottle of water.
Yes, our carry-on bag doubles as a beach bag! And we always travel with insulated tumblers and water bottles. I guess we better head to an all-inclusive resort someday. ⛱ Heidi
We bring a stack of post it’s and a sharpie to leave requests, like only a certain thing but lots in the mini fridge. Or just to say gracias to the maids. And always leaving the tip stuck to the post it.
Be careful with the tumblers. Last time I did that they rinsed it with tap water at the bar which is non-drinkable and I ended up getting really sick. So be careful how you use it.
a collapsible silicone food contained would be an even better choice if you can get one because, as the name suggests, they take a lot less luggage space, and are much lighter than a glass container, so keep an eye if you can find one
When I and my wife travel in Egypt: 1. In winter my wife use hydrosuit to keep you warm to swim. 2. Use microfiber towels on the beach. 3. We buy alcohol in duty free because alcohol in Egypt is bad. 4. use rope and clothespins when changing swimsuit.
The dry case you have barely fits my phone so I need to remove the case to make it fit also the plastic is thin where it meets the strap it didn't break but I just don't feel as comfortable wearing it I tried another brand that worked better and somehow cheaper
Please tell me how you are able to keep the coffee flavor out of your beverage thermos for water or cocktails later in the day. I find coffee flavor/smell permeates my stainless tumbler and cocktails and water taste awful. Another great video thanks!
All of these tips are great however there is some concern of the effects of sunscreen chemicals on reefs and aquatic life, so perhaps an alternative is a sheer shirt and/or leggings with an spf rating. I don't personally need them but I have seen them and they are attractive and lightweight.
Make provisions---by all means---for one's self---fluids -- for the binary values of it liquids to quench thirst, as it is capable of forestalling hunger ---at least---for a while.

I do too!!! So useful for those minor bumps and scratches.

Great idea, Susan! Nothing like garbage to ruin a beautiful beach.

Thanks so much, Chinh, Glad you think so.

That's awesome!. What a thoughtful gesture.

2 great ideas!!

woot woot, that sounds great!

I have a feeling that you will be traveling soon and then we can see how you do it. Great advice and tips as usual. Cheers!!!
Hope so! Glad you liked it, John.
Thanks for these tips, Megan. I need almost all of them, and never thought of any.
You're so welcome! Glad you like them.
Love the tumbler idea. I detest warm drinks😂
Thanks! Glad you liked it.

Good idea to load up on sunscreen rather than the other supplied liquids when packing the much suggested carry on.
For sure! It is so expensive on resorts.
Always good info 😊😊
Thanks! Glad you think so.
Now I just need to pick an all-inclusive resort!
So many to choose from. Have fun!

Nice option. Thanks for the suggestion!
Tupperware has them for sale 😊
Do resorts usually provide aloe? Or should I pack that too
They charge you for everything

Thanks and you 😘

Happy you found one that works for you. So useful to have.
I'm carrying a personal item only. How did you get thru TSA with 2 packs on your waist? Won't it set off the alarm?
Please tell me how you are able to keep the coffee flavor out of your beverage thermos for water or cocktails later in the day. I find coffee flavor/smell permeates my stainless tumbler and cocktails and water taste awful. Another great video thanks!
Good question! I wash it often and wipe dry but not 100% effective. Glad you enjoyed the video!
Try finding a lemon wedge or two and rubbing all over the inside and lid.
👍👍👍👍👍👍
Glad you liked it!
I am the first one luckily ☺️

Good point! Thanks for sharing that.

You expose your beautiful, fair and even skin to the sun? What's your secret? Obviously, you use the best sunscreen on the planet.
Well thanks! I am very cautious when it comes to sun exposure.
