- The 8,773-player field has been reduced to 3,372 heading into Day 2 of the WSOP Main Event including previous champions Joe Hachem, Greg Raymer, Robert Varkonyi, Chris Ferguson, Carlos Mortensen, and Scotty Nguyen. Daniel Negreanu headlines the feature table, but things don't go his way until very late in the day as Dmitri Nobles ends the day as chip leader.

Kudos to Negranu for spending the day with that boy.
For sure. That’s where I’m at right now in watching. Insane damage to his body/face. I can’t imagine…
Don’t forget the cameraman that also had to spend the day with that boy. And probably the segment producer who also had to spend the day with thag boy.
@@saljablo2767they’re getting paid…

@@saljablo2767you mean the ones getting paid too do it
Honestly thank you Poker Go for some what listening to the comments. I think I can speak for most people and that we appreciate these older WSOP's. Absolutely just been binge watching every single episode.
Negreanu is the best advocate for poker alive.
A real man isn't afraid to be a momma's boy. I love watching Shirley Williamson being so proud of her son, and I love how David appreciates her support so much..
i am so happy this channel is posting these old poker videos about main event i couldnt find them anywhere on the internet and i wanted rewatch them! so thank you
We watch these old school episodes like religion
Negreanu master of reading
Negreanu is a great man.
DNegs hand reading abilities are still amazing to watch! This has been fantastic viewing so far and I really hope 2007 can come next.
IMO 2006 was the best WSOP ever! After watching the 2 hour day1 video yesterday I knew it to be true 😛
I have never had any liking for Dnegs since his infamous "more rake is better" fiasco, but his support for this youngster deserves congratulations.
I’ve already binged watched all of 2004 and 2005 WSOP and I think it’s fair to say that the modern poker scene is devoid of any personas of worthy character. Even the commentators of today are insufferable to listen too. It’s no wonder they get little views compared to these magnificent spectacles which are long gone..Given such, I think a major revamp is overdue. New commentators, new tables, new locations, everything new. I think it would garner the much needed spark of attention and buzz that these old WSOP’s capture.
the problem is also the people and the rules, everyone gets a penalty for a swear word or even celebrating... can't talk too much or it's harassment ( ie kassouf )
u know ... snowflake world
Daniel is the man.🎉
Love this series, keep them coming.
love these...what a special time...i couldnt wait to get back home and watch this
When your girlfriend thinks you cheat but you’re just out with the boys at 7am drinking and running with bulls and nearly getting killed 😂😂😂
If I remember right, I think they highlight Dmitri Nobles on tomorrow's show.
I wonder why Hachem is always so salty? Dude you won 9 million last year RELAX.
aussie.... u know
Dnegs is a class act
Don't think I've ever seen anyone with over 650 big blinds on day 2 of any poker tournament ever.....
Goosebumps 7:50
Back when the WSOP was worth watching
People think they have real problems, That's exactly what makes Daniel one of the greatest human beings on Earth, We love you Daniel
Stu Unger was the best there ever was.
❤️ to little Matt and his family
Daniel is the best all around poker human.
yep, you should watch his youtube online poker tournys
17:05, somebody started cutting onions.
What do you mean
@@yuryk1989 At that point it became sad. Tearful.
Milwaukee Best is the worst beer on the planet!!
I remember thinking at the time some of these people must be super famous poker players, and it turns out these episodes were the only time anyone ever heard from them.
It's amazing how many became household names only to crash and burn. TJ Cloutier and Gus Hansen went completely broke. I haven't seen Phil Gordon or John Juanda for years. Ferguson and Lederer are not too welcome anywhere; nor is Annie Duke.
There are more players who are well-known in the poker world than there are players who are somewhat famous in the mainstream. I'd guess that Phil Hellmuth, Johnny Chan, and Doyle Brunson could be examples of a few poker players who are known by many who don't play poker.
Jamie Gold is somewhere out there
31:14 - Richard Brodie CO-WROTE Microsoft Word. If it wasn't for Charles Simonyi, he never would have been hired by Microsoft.
Me: this doesn't seem that long ago
Norm: I've seen [Daniel] checking his Treo
Me: this seems like forever ago

Are there any actual online poker sites that are legitimate in 2023??!
WSOP in select states. ACR, Global Poker, Ignition, and PokerStars in Select States.
Depends on what you mean by "legitimate". If you're talking about illegitimate like Ub or Full Tilt, then yes there are legitimate sites. If you mean "legitimate" as in "there isn't a significant amount of players using some sort of RTA and or colluding" then no.
When Hachen tried to take on a bit of a coke habit
42:26 Rage lol
42:26 Pass the sugar!
"We know what that means!"
Are the commentators hinting at white powder? lol
