you should probs use at least 2 of those containers for food regardless if you plan to keep them long or not. I have the exo terra cricket keeper always put food in there daily so they're nice and gutloaded. I don't feed live food to my beardy in his tank though, so another helpful tip is to put your calcium or supplement powder in a zip lock bag and gently tap the tubes in the bag to get the desired amount. "Shake and bake", feed where ever you desire. My beardy sits on the table outside in the sun with plenty of room for her to chase them.
I just got a bearded dragon (baby) and I'm already so attached to Chester. What i'm not attached to ? His live food! How does everyone get so comfortable? I'm having a panic attack everytime I have to feed it ! (also, awesome video...this all the instruction i had of how to use the kricket keeper lol)

The plastic flaps actually clip to the rail right above the one you clipped it to. That's why it didn't close all the way when you pulled the tubes out.

Question how do you put the food in without any of the crickets crawling on you? And how many times do we need to feed them
how long should you leave the crickets in there... how long does it take for them to absord everything

So I didn't watch this video first, so when I put my Cricket Keeper together and dumped a bunch of crickets, and came back the next morning to an empty cage--I was so confused! Until I looked in the pipes and found them. Still- this cage makes feeding our office Gecko so much easier!

They only start breeding if the kricket keeper thing is kept warm
if i did get this, i would probably buy a cork. that way i can plug up the whole thats not in use as added security that they dont get out

If they get away just grab your gecko and put him/her near the cricket and your done (your gecko will eat them)

thats only if u put too much, theyll jump him lol. or if your dragon doesnt eat them all, the cricket can sneak up and bite.
Yes. Never feed a bearded in the tank. Crickets are cannibals and if mr lizard doesn't eat them all and if they get hungry they will start eating the lizard while he sleeps

Due to their thin form, you are better of with a container that has a screen lid rather than slats like this one.

Hard to say-- If everything is closed securely and there is no damage to it, the crickets shouldn't be able to escape. Do you have the caps on the ends of the tubes? Does the top close and lock securely?

God! My mom is already not liking the idea of a chameleon bc they remind her of lizards and lizards remind her of snakes. When she finds out I have to keep crickets she's gonna faint 😂😂 can you keep the keeper outside in some shade??

This is so wrong. If you wanna breed crickets you need tall big enclosure with a lot of ventilation with fine aluminum screen cover, a laying container and a nursery for cricket nymphs. Those holes on that Cricket Keeper lid will not stop a pinhead crickets from escaping. That is only okay for temporary enclosure for the crickets you'll about to feed to your animals. Just don't only provide them with water, feed them proper food.
He says in the video that this is to keep crickets for food, he never says it's to hold them for breeding. He reminds the viewers while he is putting Cricket Drink in the cage to also provide food for the crickets if you're keeping a supply of crickets for an extended period of time. A pinhead cricket shouldn't be able to jump that high, the only way is if they crawl up the outsides of the tubes which are removable. So as long as you don't keep the tubes in 24/7 and only put them in before you need to feed your animal(s) it should be fine.

I dont really like these keepers, with the tubes and stuff there is not much room for food and water, and well crickets to move, also you cant really pick an exact number of crickets you want if you just dump them in with the tubes, prefer to use a "reptile transport cage", that is like this but does not have the tubes, gives them lots more space
Macaw Lover you could just leave the tubes out and put them in before feeding so that way the crickets go I and when feeding time comes around you’ll just pull out the tubes and get all the crickets out

26markessk hey are you getting a full size or a miniture? My miniture, now that he is fully grown, eats around 8 to 10 crickets a day. My local pet store sells boxes of 60 crickets for like 5 dollars. Also never feed your lizard inside his tank like this dude did.
