Michael
Great video! Great sound ! When a A/B with 80’s preamp ( Jmp1,Ada Mp1,tri axes....)😃 it could be great ! I really like the possibilities and versatility of the Amp1 ! Great Job!
Hi Thomas, i just wondered on mayby a future episode mayby you might like to perform, 'Longing' from Electric Gallery? I've not seen it on any of your dvd's and it's such an awesome instrumental. I have a copy of your 'Guitar masterclass' Book and it includes a backing track for Longing :-) Hope you have a great week :-)
the intro song was epic! thats why i was sold to amp1! mister thomas blug is a real talented musician who knows his shit!not some random dealer ! thats the big difference with other brands:
Hi Thomas and viewers! Great video. :-) I have a question about the power amp saturation. On my two Katanas there is a simulated power amp saturation that happens at any volume simply by putting the master volume between 5 and 10. Would it be possible with the Amp1 Mercury to achieve the same thing on the dirt channels by reducing the preamp volume and putting the master volume up? Or is the preamp volume at higher settings necessary to achieve the same power amp saturation in that scenario? I heard you explaining that the nano tubes need to "cook" for the power amp saturation to happen, but does it happen simply by turning the global master up without the preamp master up as well? I'd be great if you could clarify this. It makes sense to do this for me since I wouldn't use the clean channel anyway. In my opinion I'd have to have the master high up to achieve the sound I like with a fatter tone. Also, the price is a bit steep with the extra pedalboard for me. Thanks. :-)
You can get the poweramp saturated at higher settings - just like old school tubeamps. But you want that at more friendly volume. Therefore we have our built in powersoak. That needs to be adjusted to your wattage/ level. This can be done with the remote1 or a midi controller and MIDI 1. Both ways it’s an extra unit. If you just want that a little midi controller would be my recommendation for size and price. But the master volume is kind of a drive in that setup the needs to be taimed in combination with the powersoak. Maybe a bit more complicated than the Kantana - but I assume a bit more authentic tones ….;-)
Great Episode as usual! A question regarding low gain mode (without using midi or foot control), will that always effect all channels? Or can you have, lets say, "normal gain" on e.g Vintage channel, and "low gain" for Classic channel?
Vintage delivers sounds from clean to overdrive. These should be matched to your speaker with the 3 band tone controls. The extra custom controls can be used to match all other channels to the vintage channel then. This is the way I designed the concept. Cheers, Thomas
Oh my God! Thomas!! First of all, I seriously and honestly think that you are the best guitar player among all the other amps, pedals and other guitar tone related product designers/developers/creators. Well I know, it's a subjective thing but. What I'm saying is that it feels really good to have the man who designs the pedal/amp and demos it with great playing, which I rarely came across. And this Amp1 of yours, really sounds great. I wish one day I could get one myself as for now we don't have it here in our region or part of the world. I'm from Sabah, the North of Borneo. Rock n roll 🤘🏿🤘🏿
Greetings from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Hope all of you are safe n well. Are there any authorised service centres around my region should there be any technical issues after purchase with any of your products?
Thanks 🙏 for watching this episode! I saved a few questions for next week...
Stay tuned! Thomas;-)
Love the channel! See you on stage! Blug plays Hendrix!

Vielen lieben Dank 🙏 Michael…!
Die Start-Melodie war wieder reiner Zucker. Sehr geil gespielt. Danke.
Danke 🙏 meine alten Instrumentals sind zum Glück halbwegs zeitlos...;-)
@@BluGuitar aber sowas von......Satriani kann neidisch sein......
Damn. That tone in the opening jam was insane, I'm going to be spending the next week locked in my man-cave with my Gigboard trying to recreate it.
A Strat with treble bleed into AMP1: vintage channel: gain 10, boost on - full.
Some delay and reverb...
That’s always my sound...;-)
@@BluGuitar I'll have to grab myself an AMP1 then, it sounds great! Thank you.
@@BluGuitar don´t forget your fingers!!!!!
@@nordicomsystems8841 I have the Gigboar and Amp1. Both are killer tools for the studio or stage.

Thank you so much for watching!!!
I like to share - my experience...;-)
That is satisfying for me too...
Nice intro song, "Freedom" (Robben Ford) meets "High Hopes" meets "Kiss from a Rose" kinda vibe. I like it!
Thank you so much 😊

Wow... closest to Jeff Beck I've heard, with plenty of your own style thrown in. Absolutely fantastic

Thx for mentioning me (Mr. Zero gain) 😊
My pleasure! You invented the term/ expression...!

It’s possible to dial in any combination: e.g. like you wanted: normal gain on vintage and any setting for low gain for classic...
Hi Thomas, why the vintage doesn´t have custom adjustment?
Vintage delivers sounds from clean to overdrive. These should be matched to your speaker with the 3 band tone controls. The extra custom controls can be used to match all other channels to the vintage channel then.

It doesn’t really need them. It’s the benchmark tone
@@BluGuitar Well I have to do what you recommend on the video, save with less drive, and save it. regards.

What pickups on this beauty?
In my Strat: original fender pickups in neck and bridge positions, a Kloppmann in the middle position. In my Goldtop: Kloppmann ‚57 PAF made for me...
It's not translated ... sniff ...
This may take a little while. The algorithm needs some time... our older episodes have working subtitles...
