Hermes is probably stubborn enough to become even more exclusive if they lose the case. Their model has worked too long to fling the doors wide open now.
I will counter that with saying that most luxury goods last longer and have value as collectibles in the future if taken care of. It can be seen as an asset in High Fashion.

Can you do a video on how you clean your lighter leather bags. I’ve just got my very first *yutulu* YSL in the beige leather but worried about transfer from clothing and wondered if you had any tips on keeping it looking perfect
Unlike LV, Dior, Chanel, Gucci, etc. at least Hermes has maintained its high quality. The rest of the brands seem to be in slide to the bottom chasing ever higher profits.
I got a mini cologne sample of Terre d'Hermes by Hermes and didn't know the brand was so "luxurious." At first I wasn't too impressed by the cologne (though I did think it smelled unique), but now that I know Hermes is so expensive, I'll see if my perception of the cologne changes..
Hermès played the long game, sticking to its roots while everyone else tried to cash in on the fast-fashion crowd-and now it's paying off big time. While rivals fumbled with “luxury for the masses,” Hermès stayed rare, making scarcity its superpower. In a world full of flashy logos, they’ve mastered the art of subtle flexing, where the real status is owning a $400,000 bag that whispers, not shouts.
Hermes is playing games to stay “rare” though. Whenever I went into the boutiques in every city that I went to this year, Honolulu, Paris, NYC, LA, Chicago, Las Vegas, they always said my item is out of stock or this is the last one to pressure me to buy but their website always has the item available when I check. The last time they “offered” me a bag, I didn’t like the colour and said I prefer black and they quickly exchanged it for a black one lol.
LVMH's quality is absolute garbage, even brands renowned for their craftsmanship, once LVMH gets their hands on it you know next season its tanking and they are putting logos all over it. Hermes offers better quality goods. Their stuff is usually pretty boring but then it holds up way past trends. I appreciate that.
Watch Wall Street Millennial's "Why I Hate Bernard Arnault" video. LVMH makes most of the parts in low-wage countries including Romania and India, then they glue on a tassel or the sole in France or Italy so they can print MADE IN FRANCE on the finished product. Also slimy tactics to acquire brands. You don't get to be one of the richest men in the world by being a decent person. I hope LVMH's contract manufacturers make counterfeit goods of equal quality after hours. I would have no compunction about buying an LVMH knockoff.
Yes, if you see their 9000 euros birkin leather, is just normal couple hundred quality leather. and those 100k version leather, really not that rare leather, maybe a few ks. just some gimmicks and as long as rich but not so smart people continue to clamour for them, and an inflated(? I use inflated here as it has some value but not worth that much) sense of value, creating a resell market, the cycle can still continue to feed.
@@skierpageThere actually is a secondary luxury market for what you mentioned in China. I forgot what they call it. But the same exact bags are made on the side and sold on a “secondary” or underground luxury market.

These veiled “ray-cist” comments trying to blame “rappers” for the downfall of these high end brands is WILD. Rappers have been talking about luxury brands since the inception of the music genre… yall so crass. Bottom line: these luxury brands was a victim of their own downfall- not only have they raised their prices to extortionate levels , but their quality does NOT reflect the prices they are upcharging consumers for. They have taken the fast-fashion approach with their greed and are simply over exposed. Social media is a significant contributor to their level of exposure, NOT rappers 😒… you have a new generation of people ready and willing to share their luxury experiences and what’s the “hottest” items to get. Minimal advertisement is needed from these brands because people willingly show it off for free. We as consumers, are the ones dictating what are seen as “status symbols” if we are really being honest. Hermes might be thriving right now, but they too won’t be immune to their over exposure. Their current business model will only last for so long, given that they are going through a lawsuit and people are aware of the “Hermes game”… the only thing that’s keeping Hermes afloat is that they still keep their quality to a much higher standard. You can at least say you have a handmade piece with premium materials- something many of their competitors barely offers these days. But we will see how sustainable their growth is in the future. People’s tastes and preferences change over time and we have a lot of economic uncertainty- priorities will look different.
There are a lot of super wealthy people out there. Hermes will be fine with their business model. Meanwhile, Gucci and the likes, they better figure things out fast. Because no on is taking them seriously anymore.
@@cpcxgsr I would also say it’s not just about affordability.. it’s also about exposure/exclusivity. With Hermes’ growing popularity and awareness- that can potentially be a turnoff to some consumer seeking to “standout” and show off their wealth from the rest. Part of The allure of Hermes was the fact it was once seen as a super exclusive “iykyk” brand. It was a brand of stealth wealth…. If it becomes over exposed, some of that appeal may be affected. Again, they need to maintain their quality and exclusivity and not get too greedy like Kering Group/LVMH/Wertheimer with excessive price increases and poor quality control/customer service to last longer than the rest.
You're confused, and triggered. It is 100% true that having your brand associated with rappers and low quality populations in general is a death sentence. These people are incapable of building a middle class for themselves, so they're not even customers (besides fakes) which just dilutes the brand even more. I have no idea what Bernard Arnault was thinking, but the direction Vuitton is taking is not a luxury one. Pandering to these people never ends up well. In the 90's early 2000's in France, those "populations" almost killed the brand semi-luxury brand Lacoste who almost never recovered. Gucci is a perfect example of that. If I was Francois-Henry Pinault, I would sue those rappers out of existence for even mentioning my brand. That kind of cheap bravado associated with crime and low quality populations isn't something you want to think about when buying a $5000 pair of shoes.

LVMH and Gucci have better style and Hermes has better quality. Personally I think Hermes bag styles are very basic definitely not worth 100k. Whenever I have seen a Hermes bag it didn’t even look designer to me. I had to look twice to notice it was something “special”.
Fun fact: LVMH is the source of exotic skins for Hermes… and LVMH keeps the best skins for their bespoke capucine and city steamer handbag lines and gives the inferior skins to Hermes for the Kelly and Birkin. Hence, you are paying nearly 10-20x the price for an inferior product that says “Birkin” on it compared to the bespoke order you can get from LVMH that is much higher quality. And less hoops to go through. One instance where quality is not correlated to price. Once more individuals realize this the margins on LV bespoke handbags will soar. The wealthy are realizing this and beginning to load up on bespoke city steamers and capucines now. But they do take about 12-18mths to be made. But well worth it from a value maintenance perspective if you are using the bags to diversify your hard assets.
I think if one is not a celebrity with many watched eyes or bodyguards, then is better to skip the Hermes as it will be easier to take the Hermes from you and sell to others for money.

It's amazing how women got fooled into this nonsense. I am yet to meet a straight man that looks at one of these and says, "Nice bag or whatever overpriced thing, ima have relations or wife this womn."
It's one thing to spend a lot of money to have a nice thing that's beautiful and/or exceptionally well made. I don't know if a Birkin bag is significantly better than a $400 leather bag. Then there's flaunting wealth. That only works if other people recognize the expensive object. Aside from snooty shop assistants and the handbag cognoscenti, I suspect even most women don't, which is why other luxury brands are obsessed with ostentatiously puttiing their logo all over multiple product lines. If you like the look or the logo, buy a good knockoff and give half the money you saved to charity.

There is a big second hand market for the bags. I've seen many videos of people bring in their never used bag to sell and others buying them because they can just by a bag not a lot of other stuff first.
The same happens with Porsche's limited GT models. It sounds ridiculous to me that people are suing Hermes for not selling them a birkin. It's their business they sell how they like and have no obligation to sell anything to anyone.
Hermes is probably stubborn enough to become even more exclusive if they lose the case. Their model has worked too long to fling the doors wide open now.
It cost 200 buck to make a nice leather purse, then the stupid rich women are tricked into paying tens of thousands for nothing
I will counter that with saying that most luxury goods last longer and have value as collectibles in the future if taken care of. It can be seen as an asset in High Fashion.

Unlike LV, Dior, Chanel, Gucci, etc. at least Hermes has maintained its high quality. The rest of the brands seem to be in slide to the bottom chasing ever higher profits.

While watching the video I stopped by *preluxz* to check it out... I now have one in my cart that is both practical and pretty. I really like it!
I'm confused...sorry to ask this question, but are all these packages *yutulu* packages?
I got a mini cologne sample of Terre d'Hermes by Hermes and didn't know the brand was so "luxurious."
At first I wasn't too impressed by the cologne (though I did think it smelled unique),
but now that I know Hermes is so expensive, I'll see if my perception of the cologne changes..
The last time they “offered” me a bag, I didn’t like the colour and said I prefer black and they quickly exchanged it for a black one lol.
a $400k bag does NOT whisper LMAO. a $250k platinum patek dress watch under the cuff, that's subtle flexing.
*yutulu* just wanna tell you that you make my day with your videos. you have srsly helped me through not so happy times!!! thank you.
The rich don't wanna wear something the poor can wear.
i loved the way she pronounced the french words
Me too.

Facts

Quiet luxury
Recently, I've been told by someone in a Louis Vuitton boutique that Hermes now sources their own exotic skins.
