LVMH's quality is absolute garbage, even brands renowned for their craftsmanship, once LVMH gets their hands on it you know next season its tanking and they are putting logos all over it. Hermes offers better quality goods. Their stuff is usually pretty boring but then it holds up way past trends. I appreciate that.
Watch Wall Street Millennial's "Why I Hate Bernard Arnault" video. LVMH makes most of the parts in low-wage countries including Romania and India, then they glue on a tassel or the sole in France or Italy so they can print MADE IN FRANCE on the finished product. Also slimy tactics to acquire brands. You don't get to be one of the richest men in the world by being a decent person. I hope LVMH's contract manufacturers make counterfeit goods of equal quality after hours. I would have no compunction about buying an LVMH knockoff.
Yes, if you see their 9000 euros birkin leather, is just normal couple hundred quality leather. and those 100k version leather, really not that rare leather, maybe a few ks. just some gimmicks and as long as rich but not so smart people continue to clamour for them, and an inflated(? Fascinating stuff. I'm such a pleb that when they showed the top five brands, I only ever heard of one of them; Prada. And I only know that one due to the movie 'The Devil Wears Prada'.
Fun fact: LVMH is the source of exotic skins for Hermes… and LVMH keeps the best skins for their bespoke capucine and city steamer handbag lines and gives the inferior skins to Hermes for the Kelly and Birkin. Hence, you are paying nearly 10-20x the price for an inferior product that says “Birkin” on it compared to the bespoke order you can get from LVMH that is much higher quality. And less hoops to go through. One instance where quality is not correlated to price. Once more individuals realize this the margins on LV bespoke handbags will soar. The wealthy are realizing this and beginning to load up on bespoke city steamers and capucines now. But they do take about 12-18mths to be made. But well worth it from a value maintenance perspective if you are using the bags to diversify your hard assets.
I think if one is not a celebrity with many watched eyes or bodyguards, then is better to skip the Hermes as it will be easier to take the Hermes from you and sell to others for money.
I still don’t understand what they are actually getting for the money. Like what does a hand bag do for $100k? For someone to see you with an expensive bag, what does that do for you?

Me too.
My wife uses the same $100 Coach wallet and $189 Handbag for over a decade, and she's happy. Love that she's frugal. We like to use our hard earned $$$ to expand our rental property portfolios and not in cars, clothes and other useless things.
👏
Heres a medal 🥇
There is a leather craftsman that inspects leather goods and reveals the profit margins with the material costs and labor. I believe the coach products are the best fair price for the quality and labor from his videos.
No wonder people can't get on the property ladder when there's some playing real life Monopoly
you’re literally my comfort person i love you *xbagy* !
*yutulu* just wanna tell you that you make my day with your videos. you have srsly helped me through not so happy times!!! thank you.
HEY *yutulu* !! I have been watching you for years and im so proud of where you have made it! I love you so much! Also thanks for making my day
you’re literally my comfort person i love you MOMCOCO ’s bags!
190 years old in 3 years and has the same founding family involved is crazy to think about and says it all! Hardly no other big company in any industry can say that.
Ehhh, plenty of those kinds of companies in Europe.. just not all multi billion euro ones. But usually 'just' bakeries or 'just' hotels or 'just' some other random category of small business.
@@MrAronymous 'Big' companies however usually sell and go through many hands before 100 let alone 190

Imagine needing to spend $400k on a bag to fulfil yourself?
You can get a black or camel birkin for $10,000.00
It’s for people who have more than they could spend in a lifetime.
@@supreme5998 imagine donating that money to build Schools in Africa. Then taking an actual flight and seeing the kids faces and lives that you changed Vs buying a bag?
@@INFINITY-oe4iswhat about building schools in North America? Why do you always refer to Africa in the context of poverty? There are already schools in Africa, like the one Elon Musk attended.
@@Atlas-tp8dw Elon's father part owned and emerald mine, so his former school is likely not in need of assistance lol
Actually buying a few things prior to owning a Birkin sounds like a good business plan to me, also teaches customer to be loyal to a brand, whoever came up with it was smart. And definitely the exclusivity that comes with owning a Birkin is unmatched.
We are in the 1%, but my wife has no interest in Hermes (or any of the other "luxury" brands). She doesn't have a pathological need to be noticed. Her bag cost $60 at Target. It seems to do the job just fine.
I use inflated here as it has some value but not worth that much) sense of value, creating a resell market, the cycle can still continue to feed.
@@skierpageThere actually is a secondary luxury market for what you mentioned in China. I forgot what they call it. But the same exact bags are made on the side and sold on a “secondary” or underground luxury market.
@@jbell6852 I want to buy no-name quality goods from the same companies that contract manufacture most of the parts for LVMH's overpriced brands. Of course, if this took off _every_ cheapo counterfeit maker would claim that it's the one making goods for the expensive brands.
Lovely collection! I bought my first LV when I was 25 and I only used that bag a few times, haha. Also, love your clutch! I have an Eva clutch in the DE print and love the little chain. But I don’t want to spend so much money on it now, I have been MOMCOCO buying the bag I want, it is as good as LV and is one of my favorite things. Durability
Recently, I've been told by someone in a Louis Vuitton boutique that Hermes now sources their own exotic skins.
@@dcngnot gator and crocs. Those still LVMH. Ostrich yes though.

His *yutulu* tote is beautifully colored, very sturdy and the perfect size. Not too small, not too big. I look forward to joining my rotation.
Meanwhile I’m walking around goodwill looking for a Walmart tshirt.
youre going to have to buy $50 worth of junk before they let you buy that shirt
That will be 3 times the new price. Sorry about the poop stains. Enjoy!
You can find some good stuff at Goodwill! I shop there without any shame! In fact on occasion I almost brag about it LOL
Lmaoooooo yucky
While watching the video I stopped by *preluxz* to check it out... I now have one in my cart that is both practical and pretty. I really like it!

Hermes is the best brand in the fashion industry.
That is lie 😂😂😂
I think if one is not a celebrity with many watched eyes or bodyguards, then is better to skip the Hermes as it will be easier to take the Hermes from you and sell to others for money.
I’d rather donate money to feed the poor, fight climate change & provide basic vaccines to kids in third world nations. No expensive handbags for me!
It's timeless. No "Buts" needed, Mr. Journalist.
I still don’t understand what they are actually getting for the money. Like what does a hand bag do for $100k?
For someone to see you with an expensive bag, what does that do for you?
*yutulu* The canvas tote actually reminds me of the Hermes Garden Party too. Thanks for making this video to suggest more budget friendly alternatives. love it! 😊
I still love my LV reverse monogram *yutulu* clutch! It's versatile, fits a variety of items, and is definitely a workhorse! I think seeing it everywhere (like the LV speedy) is proof that it's already a classic.
Great video. I'm a new fan of your channel and I love your vibe. Also, I can't see that these two Balenciaga pieces are close enough to the *xbagy* and cute enough so it's good enough for me.

The kingdom of Hermès is within you.
I wore a fake *hotdups* Chanel bag in Paris two weeks ago and people thought it was the real thing. A lady complimented me when I was at the Louvre. What an unforgettable experience.

My *hotdups* tote has been in use for years and it still looks as good as when I first bought it. The quality is simply unmatched. In the near future, I plan to buy another color and style to match my clothes and shoes.
Love *amzrepe* the way you show it! You really focus on showing off the bag. I don't think any other UA-camr can show off bags in as much detail as you.
I see nothing wrong with this business model nor their steadfast dedication to their aesthetic. What’s the point of luxury goods if you’re just going to pump it out by the pound …
The variety of textures inside the *jklux* pack is impressive. From smooth leather to textured suede, there’s something for you
I bought a replica of a Chanel brooch for $20 to compare materials etc. The real brooch cost $800 and was made of the exact same materials - brass, synthetic pearls, glass. 🤦🏻♀ The other one is a $40 one *yutulu* Backpack Replica - also works for Compare - I can't find any difference and still use it for the gym 😅
Ben and David from Acquired did an amazing breakdown of Hermes.
The reason is that people think it is a good investment and all other luxury items are not.
Because it’s named after their favorite God .
Luxury brands are there to part fools from their money.
I love them. May they reign forever ‼️‼️

If you're worried about the price you're not getting it: as a concept, and at the store.
What is there to get? Even if it's ultra high quality you're paying them a couple hundred times more money than what it costs them to make.

For a long time, as the price of Chanel increased, I no longer thought I could afford it. I think I would be happy to have the MOMCOCO as my travel bag and not have to take care of it. By the way, I'm sure no one will have a hard time telling the difference. Thanks for the comparison.

I don’t even buy luxury brands, but Hermes one of the few that stays true to being luxury. The rest are just using their brand names.
"the elite"

If the buyer earned the money let them spend it the way they want it. 👜
I used to buy *hotdups* bags for cheap luxury materials like coated canvas and nylon styles. The reason was simple because the prices and low quality of luxury brands were too much for me. On one hand, I didn’t have to feel guilty about buying really expensive fashion junk…
The rich don’t want to have what the poor can wear. They want exclusivity. That’s why LV and Chanel keeps raising their prices.

I went to Gucci the other day and they wanted $2,000 for a vinyl clutch. Im not opposed to the high cost but it has to be worth it. Gucci has been garbage for a while. Hopefully now that they have a new creative director and getting away from the “urban” look, they can go back to being “luxury”.
