The sound of that creek is one of my favorites for being lulled to sleep. You just have to keep an eye out for the weather, and move away if it starts raining. Depending on the surrounding terrain, water from higher ground can get funneled down, and pretty soon that babbling brook will become a raging torrent.
This is why I love this channel. The details, the cooking, eating, going to bed makes it real and is very enjoyable and encouraging. It's this entertainment that I cherish. Thank you Chad, you're a good cook. I like to see you eat the food you cook. When you're off to bed, you show it and it looks cosy and comfortable. I don't have to guess, it's so clear and beautiful. ❤
I really enjoy your videos. If you use coconut oil, it works so much better with no sticking to the pan and like your noodles as well won't stick together. Helps allot with clean up. Stay safe!
Out of the many Westfalia Vanagons I’ve seen, you truly have an excellent set up. The only thing that I was surprised to find out from this video is that your rear cabin AC unit didn’t work and instead of fixing it (if that’s was possible) you didn’t replace it. I say that because I’ve slept in vans and campers during the hot summer months without air conditioning and for me it’s absolute torture. So if I rocked a Vanagon like yours I would definitely invest in an AC unit but again, that’s just me. Clearly the temperatures out in the Pacific Northwest most be cool at night and if that’s true than I can see why you don’t need one. Whenever I watch one of your videos I get so inspired to go out and experience the outdoors. It also inspires me to build a rig so I can just pick up and go like you. The most important things I’ve learned from your van adventures is to keep things simple, find out what works for you, be prepared for life’s surprises, and staying organized is key. He actually does live in the van full time. Fans are amazing and the great thing about a home on wheels is the flexibility to move your home out of direct sunlight to help with heat management. 🙌🏼

I had a need for a simple fire lighter and saw the cotton ball and Vaseline idea on a previous video. I couldn't get cotton balls where I am so I used tissue paper, it worked really well and burned for ages. Really nice to watch these videos, thanks for making them.
What's not to like about this video? From shots of the Great PNW, providing viewers with comprehensive look at what it takes to live a van life, to cooking that experimental meal (I'll have to try this, BTW). They are all over Washington State. I have driven so many Forest Roads up to dead ends and set up camp with spectacular views of Mount Baker and other areas in Washington State.
Sitting here at work in UK on my very quiet nightshift counting down the next 11 days until we take our cosy caravan down to Dorset for 5 days....we will be sitting outside around our fire pit toasting marshmallows and drinking some wine and gin......I love watching this channel ,makes me want to live in my caravan all the time ,fantastic

I've loved camping as a kid. It brings back memories although we slept in a tent with on lot showers . We had a large tent 6 cots and two sleeping bags. 6 kids in our family. Camped at bar harbor maine, the white mountains, etc. Dad made a homemade small trailer to pack all our stuff in and toed it in back of the car. We left conn. For 1 week every summer. I am in my middle seventy so it was a long time ago. I still enjoy watching you camp.
